There is a link in the video description to download the updated Gooapple rom, i think it can be used to port it to the Galaxy Ace. Or use this with almost all stock bugs fixed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729056

Damn. It's armv7....
would have been a way lot easier if it was armv6.

I got a gooapple 3g's rom and Im working on porting it.....
Its almost the same specs.
I dont know how much time it will take. :fingers-crossed:

Im trying....
Got the rom from a chinese site.
But I dont know whether the rom is froyo or gingerbread.
If its gingerbread, it will work.
I will try to do it this weekend if possible.

I know that....
But I did not unpack system.img yet. I think I have to do it in Android kitchen when I get some free time. My mom aimt letting me touch my pc due to exams. Maybe I'll try it during this weekend.
But if the rom is froyo, it would suck.
So I have to just use froyo drivers or abandon it.

Not based on CM....But it is the best iPhone themed Android rom currently available!!

It seems that my system.img file is corrupted.
I have to redownload the rom from that slow chinese server again......:banghead:
Lets see if Im able to unpack system.img successfully otherwise I have to search for a new rom package....
Anyone who can try to find the link for a gingerbread rom package of Gooapple 3G will be greatly appreciated. :thumbup:

I was even developin for sIII and i got a system.img...
Power iso or magic iso wont work...its another method that worked for me
Ill get back to this thread in some hours..and ill give you instructions on how to do it...

But I just got to know by seeing build.prop that Android version is 2.2.3(froyo)
I have to look for a Gingerbread rom for porting now....
I heard somewhere that Gooapple 3G can be upgraded to gingerbread....But all the dl links for the gingerbread rom are dead...
Let me search for sometime and then I'll inform....:-/

Or else there's another way. Coz sometimes unyaffs doesn't work.
Anyways you've got it so it's ok.

I emailed a user who has the phone asking for a system dump.
BTW I tried out the apps of Gooapple. They have included two launchers, one the iPhone style and the other the stock android launcher.
The stock android launcher works perfectly in CM7 but all the Gooapple apps get launched for one second and then close without any warning. I think they require a framework or some libs.
I need some help on this....

Yup. Should be libs.
Try getting the logcat..
for that just check up some guides, and you'll need to download Android-SDK. Even download Dsixda kitchen and apkmanager..they might be helpful later.
Do you have unlimited internet or a data plan?
Or else, you can upload the files to MediaFire. And i'll download and do some tests, and even try to help you port.

i'm testing the rom and it's fast and stable, i'm not sure if it really have android 2.3.7 (don't know the difference)
dont have flash in the rom (you can flash it by yourself), uses rafael baugis kernel and the only thing i dislike is the ying yang in the loading logo.
here are some screenshots.
btw, sorry for my english, i'm from Chile.

i've tested this rom..it works fine but i get a problem...
i'm unable to get root access, superuser app is not opening, and i cannot use titanium backup!!

i was using mobilego to restore contacts,apps and this problem got autofixed after restore...dnt knw how!

Oh look the same facebook group an same guy that copied the Retribution Beta 3.5 Release an probably others an not given no thanks or asked permission!!!
I wouldnt be suprised if this rom isnt even by Berk Şemsioğlu and its just the build prop edited to look that way on the phone info screen???

Yes you can. Just go here and download the bootanimation4u.zip and then flash in it CWM. Then add add any bootanimation.zip to your system/media

I tried it too but to no effect....turns out you need a KERNEL to change the bootanimation!

I'm on JB with stock kernel also tried with thunderzap and it works.
P.S. Did you put your bootanimation.zip in system/media folder after flashing the Bootanimation4U.zip

I flashed the one with Samsung in its name. I will try that one now.

It should work. Only the init.rc needs to be edited to add custom bootanimation support (maybe also a binary).!

I inlstalled that other file via recovery, but still no custom bootanimation. And I did put bootanimation.zip in system/media... I do not need it much, so I didn't bother more. :angel:

I have LQ4 and installed the bootanimation5u and then my custom bootanimation.zip and it worked

I pushed and changed the permissions to rw-r-r and rebooted. Its still not working. I have the same gallery i was previously having

first method :
take any flashable zip from our forum...
delete all other files in it with winrar / 7zip........
place apk in system / app / here ........
save it then flash it in cwm...
i done nova launcher like this in LQB and aosp rom..
or second method..
just delete old gallery..and install this app as normal..dont push..
hope it work fine... not sure never tested like this..

i have only this gallery file...
not others and i use it and confirmed its note2's gallery with timeline and spiral...
dont know what problem you are having...

Do you mean that .apk file has to be inserted in /system/app and the .so files in /system/lib?

I read it but I wanted a confirm because I had bad surprises in other roms. I want to test roms with stock kernel, then it's up to me to flash custom kernel or not.

why 4.1.2
why is it cm10 4.1.2?
why not 4.2.2? just asking^^

because many of applications from sony does not work as expected on cm10.1.But working on a version for cm10.1

Very nice rom. No need of custom kernel.
Maybe the phone pad could be better.

CM10 > CM10.1 so I'd say stick to CM10, just my opinion. Why? More smooth and better battery life on CM10

It doesn't work.
Edit: removed previous App through Titanium, added these files, set permission, rebooted, now it works.

Now that the @maverick1990 can post in this forum, @SREEPRAJAY can click on the triangular "report post" button and request transfer of first post to maverick1990. Should make things a lot easier for both of you without one having to work on the rom and the other updating the OP
