ODIN :/ - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Heyy guys , I facing tis very bad problem with my PC and Laptop ! Which is that whenever I use ODIN to flash Any ROM on my ACE it just does not flash it ! it recognizes the phone ! I have all the drivers ! P.S. I hard bricked my S Plus because of ODIN :crying: What shall I do now! Cuz i want to root and install CWM on my Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3110 also but I'm afraid that i might loose that also Plz someone help !

What version of Odin are you using? I can send you one if you like. I'm using V4.42 and it works great.

You should use the correct version of ODIN !
Every device requires different versions of ODIN !
For my ACE I use V4.38
It works perfectly !

Yup. I've tested both. Odin V4.38 and V4.42 and they both work fine. And rename the OPS file to Cooper_ v1.0 otherwise it won't work.

[Q] help! odin fail

Hello world (sorry for my Bad english)
i hope you can help me. When i was getting my galaxy i was very happy but with the time froyo is froyo getting boring. So i was root it and every thing worked great. I was using flagship and it was perfect but then came the leaked gingerbread Rom and i have install it. But after a day it was every time on 1 ghz and the battery was very fast drain off. So i was flashing back on a stock froyo. And here's the problem : when i try to root other again it doesn't work. Z4root hanging and close. In recovery i try update .zip bit this doesn't work, too. And when i try to root with odin it doesn't work too (i have only the German error : odin reagiert nicht mehr. ) pls help me and say how i can fix it.
Pc : windows xp
mobile : Samsung galaxy s froyo js5
Thank you !
You have flashed stock rom so now you have recovery 3e. You can't flash update.zip while you have 3e recovery. Best choice for you is now darky's odin rom. Download it and follow instructions. If you have some problems send me a message.

Well, thank you but i have already see it and if i remember right i have to flash only the pda file with odin. And i have already try to flash a rooted froyo pda. But odin will show me a error (in english could it means odin won't react. Send / don't send). And i think it will show the same with this pda file. I have also tried to flash the froyo stock phone and csc with the root pda but then is it the same error. And i have forgot to add that i also was tried to root it with super-one-click. But fail....
Have you used pit file??.....try downloading darkys odin rom...it doesn't cost you anything

If you can search for ezbase rom in the forums and flash 2.2.1 firmware... follow ALL of the instructions then after that completes let your phone boot up, shut it down then reboot into recovery then flash your 2.2.1 rom then hopefully you'll be good to go! Let me know if it works

Know how you feel mate, I've been in a similar situation God knows how many times.
As stated before you just need to get a full firmware (3 files) I would get JVB as this has all 3 files. Make sure you download the 512 pit file too and select partition in Odin.
Here is the link for JVB http://hotfile.com/dl/114645023/5ea002a/PDA_I9000XWJVB_-_PHONE_I9000XXJVK_-_CSC_I9000XEEJV3.rar.html

latest GB JVH with bootloaders (deodexed and ZIPall.)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19506141/GT_I9000_XWJVH_XXJVO_NEEJV3_Sbl.exe
you can flash it with odin, using 512 pitfile....Be sure to tick repartition..
you will lose all your apps. and [email protected]
pit file and odin you can download here..

Hi,
use odin 1.85 if ur using multipackage firmware..
otherwise use 3.x.x .. :good:
note these steps
Turn off the PHONE, press and hold VOL-UP + VOL-DOWN + POWER
select download mode in screen and start ODIN inside ODIN select your files, PIT, BOOT, PHONE, PDA, CSC, the BOOT file not needed!

I guess you should start fresh... uninstall all the drivers. Redownload them from yagyagaire.blogspot.com, install in compatibility mode and then restart PC. Use Odin 4.38 for galaxy mini only and not any other version. Hope it helps...

Dude never try to use other Odin on mini. It will possibly brick your device. Are you putting the tass.ops file in Odin before connecting. There are many tutorials which guide you how to flash. Try yagyagaire.blogspot.com

hi guys, now my driver problem is already fixed, i already unroot my samsung galaxy s3 mini. but here comes a new problem, and it is RIL Problem. anyone can help me ? please just using samsung galaxy s3 mini for 1 day.
Far as i know we don't have a CM10.1 yet ( cyanogenmod based on 4.2 ) so i think you flashed a CM from a other device ... and i'm not sure but i've read somewhere some cm's use different partitions and thats why some phones get bootloops when going back to stock rom but the ril i think is rom releated ... i would try to find a pit file (goldenxx pit file ) and a odin flashable rom and flash it true odin using pit file and re-par. ON
