Every ROM we have is just modified stock. you're better off modifying your own ROM

Hey guys,
I just rooted my phone with SuperSU
My mobile is running ICS 4.0.4
Now I want Jelly bean [India]
So can you explain the steps for rooting with Odin through mobile itself.

Official JB is not yet released by Samsung. There are TW leaks in Dev Forum, try it out. IMHO Official CM 10.1 is the best.
I hope you are aware of the super-brick bug.

official jb is not avialable in india yet ............. u can try custom roms ,,,,,,,,,,,if u like touchwiz then go for angry v3 its the best rom with multiple dpi avialable otherwise you ca use panaroidandroid ro its good
Whatever the hell you do,do it from recovery
Why you all think odin is needed???!!!
Go for ultimate jb v5.1
Easy flashing steps are included in its thread

Not a single official stock jb ROM released from samsung to n7000 try alliance or ultimate
And like the guy said what the hell you need odin for rooting needs recovery only

Yeah but very soon as Samsung releases the stock JB, we will see how many use any odin

Could you run this through RSD Lite and end up back on ICS?
Don't know a lot about this stuff but it was a thought...
There is currently NO way to flash back to ICS. Until there is a proven tested way I'd advise against it unless you want your phone to become an expensive paperweight.

Was wondering if there were any easy to install tweaks for the xperia T jellybean os, that I can flash with cwm
That would allow me to customize many appearence features on statusbar, and threw out the phone? Would need something that will work on a locked bootloader! Maybe even recomendations on a feature packed custom ROM that uses a stock kernal? Thanks.

No
There are no tweak packs, there is a slight custom ROM, stock based so works on locked bootloaders, XperimenT, its in the android development section, its ICS based, a JB version is being worked on
Thanks! Im using Xperiment beta 2. I love how fast the phone runs, and how good my battery is! I just dont see anything different other than the boot screen . Maybe because its a beta?

Yeah it's because it's a beta and the dev wants to get it stable before he adds customizations, also they don't work from ICS so new ways are needed to get it working. Patience

Fair enough! I might flash the xperimenT ics stable then, quick question tho.. Can I not keep the jb xperimenT backup on my phone, and then swap roms as needed via cwm restore? Would be fairly cool. On the same note, minus the odd crash here and there, the experimenT jb beta is just incredible performance wise.

You may have issues as to swap versions, JB and ICS, a lot of the time you need format sd card, you'll also need to make sure the correct kernel is in place and that you flash the correct cwm+reboot fix, so it is a pain bit doable

I believe it's 4.0.4. As for a link, try doing a search in the development section.

I'm an advocate for the best rom, so:
Don't use ICS... simple as that... It uses way too much memory, and although the rom is FASTER than any GB rom, it scores close to 2800-2900 in Antutu, compared to 2500-2600 for stock GB, the speed advantage dissapears very fast when the RAM is full (usually you work with 100 -90 MB) and the constant swapping makes the device unusable... you could get away for some time by using a cleaned (custom) rom, but... it's more of the same actually!
I tried custom kernels, some custom roms, but are all the same, recovery is a pain in the ass to get it installed so... yeah... don't use it or wait for 30D, maybe it's better!
As you are new to the device, my advice is better grounded by the fact that ICS is more strict security wise and you could get a brick in more ways than GB, if you update to stock ICS, and install a recovery, you get a brick and so on... try to know the device or read very very well before flashing a ICS rom, or better use only nandroid backups that you flash from your custom recovery...
Soo now tht we have official ics , of course I updated to it , I was wondering if we could flash p920 ICS ROMs and kernels? The stock kernel is kinda laggy. Also, could I go to cm10 from ICS or would I need to downgrade back to GB...srry for the noob question lol

Yes you can. I am running xbsall v7.2 acid ROM on my p925 after flashing v30b. Works great. Thanks xbsall! You can run cm10 still but there something you have to change in the file. Look here for what you need to change. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2205330
