[Q] How to Deodexed .apk's?

Just wanting my phone to run at its best, im currently using Speedmod with voodo, and know how to deoxed the apps i have how do i go about doing this?
Easier solution to this would be to install a Custom ROM. Most Custom ROMs are Deodexed.
Yeah i totally agree, although im really happy with the preformance im at and dont want to overite it with a custom rom.

[Q] Question about ICS

Hello, what is the best ROM for ICS on Samsung Galaxy S? I'm fed up of stock ROM being slow and want something fast and want ICS I've never flashed before and downloaded "Onecosmic's ICS Port Android 4.0.3 RC2.11" but don't have a clue on how to start flashing it, as he hasn't made a noob tutorial
Any help would be appreciated.
How about trying teamhacksung's ICS port aka soon to be CM9 rom? Just follow the guide on the first page.

But I'm a noob :-( I don't even know how to root or put CWM on... what ROM would you recommend for noob like me, ICS one or CM7? I Just want something really fast that will make games smoother and that works fully....
Do you know how to flash a kernel via Odin? You will be rooted and have CWM automatically once you flash a custom kernel. I would recommend you to use a custom GB rom, as not all apps are compatible with ICS and more bug free.

oh ok.. is the standard CM7 the fastest ROM then?
In my opinion, no. Perhaps you would want to try the Simplicity rom.

[Q] Two Firmwares at the same time

Is it possible to have two diferent Firmwares installed? I have ICS RC 4.2 installed on my device but I wanted to try S.U.R.F.A.C.E Firmware. I guess it's not possible but I guess it's ok to ask since I didnt find any answer here or on Google.
Thanks in advance!
I don't think it is possible. but i would wait for more experience people to tell you otherwise.
That is not possible,
There is a difference between firmware and a rom like surface or ICS RC4.2.
Firmware is stock rom that is usually brought by samsung of so. a rom like surface is a rom that has a base of a stock rom and is modified and rebuild by a developer.
ICS is stock software for other phones that will not be brought to the SGS, so developers like CM and Onecosmic have been working hard to bring it on our SGS.
But when you're one RC4.2 and wanna go to Surface you switch from the one rom to the other.
Not possible.
It's Possible to change from ICS-rom to ICS-rom and from stock to stock via cwm-backup, but the base must be the same, like gingerbread to gingerbread, not gingerbread to froyo ...

If you want a rom that is perfectly stable and having all the features then go for either CM7 or Mintberry MIUI
if you want an ICS rom, well then read the feature list of all the ICS roms and decide for yourself... (try to select one with Rom control feature .. it has lots of customization options)
thanks people!
If you want ICS rom I would highly recommend Infinitium. For me it's the best ICS rom on SGS. On second place I put Dark Knight 3 (yes, the older one) it's also very good rom but not as smooth as infinitium. Maybe fifth version of DK will be better because DK 4 is total mistake.
As the said before me, the Android version makes a diffrence.
i'm using INFINTIUM and it is awsome though i think that if you don't want an ICS Rom you should use GamerzRom which is based on samsung with value pack and it is very fast.
for GB the best rom is GamerzRom with kernal semaphore
tahnks people very much! i use infintium and its perfect...

[Q] Performance difference from stock to custom rom?

Hello everyone!!
Just a quick question for everyone here. I purchased my note a couple months and it came rooted with Paranoid. Since then I have tried a whole lot of roms since then. But they all seem to lag at one point. Even with OC
My work phone is a Galaxy S2. With the ICS upgrade from Bell, the phone is a rocket. Bone stock, battery life is great and the Quadrant results are fantastic.
If stock ICS is faster, smoother, and overall better experience, how would I go about installing it? I'm assuming Odin, and Sammobile.com. But what files should I be searching for? Can I install any .tar file? Im more worried about getting English on the phone after I install ICS from another country lol.
Im familiar with CWM. But not too familiar with Odin yet. I just want to make sure I get the right files.
Don't try anything with Odin and or stock ics roms as you can get a unsafe kernel and brick your phone.. Most likely you can flash with cwm every rom in dev section.. Try cyanogenmod9 its awesome.. And buttery smooth

Stock ICS is not smoother, faster and more stable it just seems so because of touchwiz's stmooth performance.(Also, if stock ICS was a better experience then nobody would be searching and making custom ROMs ) CM9 is much better and is more stable too.
Also it's better to stay away from stock ICS as it may come with an unsafe kernel--rather it will come with an unsafe kernel, as the guy above said.Anyways, that's just my my opinion.
If you wanna install a stock ICS rom, I'd go about flashing a stock GB ROM and then flashing the stock ICS ROM using Kies. For stock GB roms, check out dr.ketan's thread.
