"ondemand" govenor not available on EU JB? - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
can anyone confirm if they are now missing the "ondemand" govenor after updating to JB EU? I'm pretty sure I still had it after updating to JB, but I did a factory reset today and now I only have "interactive" and "userspace". I did the reset because of not-too-great battery life and am afraid that it was all in vein now.

[Q] Problem with overclock Rom and Apps

So I flashed two different jelly bean roms that are overclocked to 1.3ghz, but when I checked my cpu speed on my phone one rom was 1.05 and the other was 1.1ghz. I would post this on the CN2 rom thread where I got the rom from, but I need ten post to even comment on there. Why is my phone not fully overclocking to the specific value?
Also I have tried every overclocking app from setcpu, setvcu, milestone, etc... and none of them actually let me overclock the phone they just let me move my slider to a lower value than 1.1ghz. I cannot get any app to actually let me set a new value for my cpu frequency. I am currently running the CN2 Jelly Bean rom.
Any help is appreciated.
anyone?
So I figured out the problem. My stock kernel only holds 4 or 5 cpu speed slots. I need a kernel that holds 7. I am having trouble finding one, or at least figuring out how to flash my new kernel through safe strap. It says failed when I try to flash a kernel I downloaded.
Anyone know of any kernels that will work with the CN3 Rom, I have been trying to figure this out all day.

You need custom kernel for that, check Iodak, Laufersteppenwolf, cyanodak, copycat, Mourta etc.

You're not helping at all.
Answer the questions below;
Did you undervolt? What kernel settings did you change?
What kernel are you using?
What is your tegra variant? (check via root explorer, file : "/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/tegra_variant")
Certain tegra variants can't handle 1.7 ghz.Even if you were to make it, you'd have to overvolt so much that your phone would keep rebooting due to heat.
And restarts are mostly caused by the CPU not being able to handle the high frequency with such low voltage.Better variant (max 3, min 0) means more overclock potential and more tolerance to lower voltages.

no I did't undervolt
Iam not change any think in kernel setting just move cpu frequency control to 1.6 or 1.7
about kernel I try all custom kernel
tegra_variant is 0, cpu is weak sorry
tegra_variant is 0
that's I have seen in my tegra_variant

That means you can barely overclock and even if you do, it will drain your battery so quickly that it will not be worth it.
If I were you, I wouldn't overclock. My variant is 1 and I can overclock just fine, but it drains battery too quickly and the gain in performance is barely noticeable.
If you still feel like your phone is laggy, go to the links in my signature and flash the ROM/kernel.I can honestly say they are the best I've flashed so far.
I also recommend you to undervolt by -50mV.This should help keep your system cool, while preserving some battery and it won't reduce performance or anything.
Talking from experience, I've overclocked my phone for 3 months or so.After I returned to default frequencies, I noticed that the gain wasn't worth it at all.Same goes for overclocking GPU.You just increase voltage far too much to gain a few mhz and it makes your battery run out very quickly.

Use these two http://www.modaco.com/topic/373632-liquidsmooth-32-featuring-mourta-kernel-34x-updated-2014-10-15/

First flash the rom and the kernel afterwards. As far as I know this kernel doesn't support overclocking, but it has better performance compared to a phone that uses 3.1 kernel with 1.5 ghz CPU and 564 mhz GPU, just because it's 3D scaling is so good.
It also reduces stutters you get in most of the games and removes from some of them due to improved core handling etc.
Btw, I recommend you to use ART as it kind of removes the need to overclock your CPU, you'll notice that your phone is a bit faster and a lot more battery friendly when you're on ART instead of dalvik.ART also reduces stutters in some games compared to dalvik.
i had same problem first. My O4X forze still 1,7ghz at 1,3V didn't dared to try with more voltage
Still running 1,6 on liquidsmooth 3.2 mourtas one and cyodak kernel.
This is what i need to run stable on variant 0.

[Q] Williams kernel v4 problems

hello.
I am having a problem with my xperia sp running william's kernel on AOSB 4.4.4 rom which is CM based rom. My CPU setting are: cpu0-smartassv2, cpu1-intellidemand2, both cores are OC @ 1.8ghz gpu is set for performance. whenever I start antutu benchmark, phone crashes while testing float performance or smth like that.... Anyone have any idea about that? sorry for my english...

The problem's there since the age of 4.3, it is possibly related to overheat. Try running benchmark on a freezer, or somewhere cool, should do the trick

CPU Governing App for Stock Kernel?

Hi,
I have the Indian ROM 10.3.5.0 installed on my phone and is rooted as well, I find the ROM has battery drain issues, at most I'm getting the battery for a day, I previously had the Chinese ROM which was amazing as I used to get 2 days of battery life with extreme usage. Is there a CPU governing App so that I can change the governing to Powersave instead of onDemand? I tried the Kernel Adiutor (ROOT) and it didnt work with the stock kernel. Any ideas?

There is a kernel available in ROM section which might suit your needs
