Now that's smart
It's not about how you brick it, it's about them trying to prove it.
See the brick bug of 4.0.4 with the S2, you claim it and they can't say sh*t because it's samsung fault.

I got a samsung galaxy s advance and tried updating it to jellybean. After the update was downloaded and i guess installed, it was restarting. Now it won't at all turn on, no logo nothing.. I tried going into recovery or download modes but the phone still doesn't respond.
Recharging it doesn't make a difference either.
What should I do to get it to at least light up again ?!

From the settings in the phone, check for updates then update, it downloaded then said it would restart
Are you sure you used the update file for I9070 or some other phone? And did you, by chance disturb the phone during the update?

I'm pretty sure it was the right update, all i did was wait for it to load and install, then after restarting i waited for half an hour and the phone didn't turn on, then i removed the battery and put it in again, still nothing

As I understand he used OTA update, so no chance he used some other phone firmware. If you have warranty just go to service center and told what happend.

Did you tried the hard shutdown(volume up + power for 15 seconds till you feel 3 vibrations)?
Did you tried to flash another firmware with flashtool?
Did you tried sony update service?

Also be sure that you have your smartphone correctly installed.

Hello,
I have a Sony Xperia T LT30P.
The phone functions all correctly expect the on / off power button does not work.
So if the phone sleeps then I have to press the camera button then the home key to get back to home screen.
Just wondering, would I be able to root this phone or not, since I cannot turn it off completely...
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Yes you can root without using the power/lock button.

Hi all, today I faced one problem and I don't know what to do.
I have rooted C6603 phone, and when I'm on Root Browser and changing anything - phone restarts and before bootup and screen turning on, RED LED shows up for couple seconds and then It normally starts. Can it be, that phone is going to brick itself ? I have installed SoftKey's (CWM).
Version : 4.1.2 - waiting for K.K.
Thanks for all suggestions or answers .

Yes. A repair via Sony Update Service or flashing an FTF with Flashtool will fix most problems that occur.

On the right way, I have camed off rubber from headphone claps, so, Can I pull that clap out without phone disassembly? I can clearly see in that little hole, that It have some fatter back, so, If i'll try to push it and get out, will it work without making seriously damage?
Thanks in advice.
It shouldn't just brick for no reason.
