This looks promising.
I just want to say that it's not for everyday use, but I hope it will be.
No text in the apps section, icons still show up.
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda premium
I've got text there, this is due something in your framework, I suppose.
And I'd like to ask, how did you port it? Maybe you can do the same with the Phone app, so that the lockscreen would function as it should?
Likely caused by the sense 5 fonts, ill switch back and see if the issue persists.

Hi, guys and girls. Don't know if something like this was already posted over XDA, but i decide to publish my little work.
Here is the Xperia Arc metamorph theme for CyanogenMod 7 for HDPI devices. Tested and runs good on HTC Vision powered with latest nightly and CM 7.0.0 Final. But should also work on other vanilla gingerbread ROMs.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the zip with theme below.
2. Place the zip on your SD Card
3. Backup (just in case)
4. Install Metamorph from Market
5. Run Metamorph
6. Chose the zip... and etc.
7. Reboot
NOTES:
1. After applying Phone.apk theme there will be a lot of FC's. Just lock the phone, then wake it up, long press on power btn and select reboot. Or pull out the bettery.
2. After applying framework theme there will be soft reboot. Just let it boot up and run Morph again from the place where you ended.
3. After applying SystemUI.apk theme ther will be something like in 1 or 2. Do the same.
WARNINGS!!!! I am not responsible for any damages of your phone, bricking, etc. Or nuclear blast.
P.S. Xperia Arc Wallpapaers http://www.multiupload.com/3S0B5OEGH8
Looks great, but my device is mdpi one。
Amazing work, but you have bad zip archive. After open zip file, you have XperiaArcTheme folder, but must be folder´s with files for apk´s app and xml file. Simply move all files to root of zip file.
very good
Is it posible change CyanogonemMod settings and Profile icons? It´s not pretty
I know about unthemed prof and cm settings icons. I will fix it asap. Also already done incall screen theming to be more like all theme. Will post update later today.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
Also delicious work. No other grafical bugs observed Maybe will be better move framework_res update script to end of xml file, theme will install without restarts in update process.
Fully works on ZTE Blade, CM7 stable.
great work ,thanks again!
Are you working on any updates, or it´s final version of Arc theme?
It says that its invalid or missing files when i try to apply the theme...
I have been thinking about this for some time now ... How does the htc sense skin changer work? From my experience with android ... A change to framework-res.apk needs a reboot to take full effect ... Like the metamorph app ... It works similarly ... It takes the files from ur sdcard and patches the framework ...
This is where im confused ... To make changes like this ... U need to be rooted and also need to reboot ... And even if it worked the same way wouldnt nand lock just restore it? How is it this skin changer works? If it does work this way ... How the heck does it stay the same ... Or is it like framework-res.apk is an empty shell that has links to the external files?
Could some1 with root please give their framework-res.apk before and after changing the skin? Like from htc to slate or wood ... I want to see what is really happening here ...
Ps if this belongs in the general please could the mod move there? Im extremly sorry if it does ... It is related to root and nand lock so i thought id post here ...
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
hmm, when u got temp root check for the rights that are set on the file, on this way you probably get you answer
what i think is that specific files are excluded, so they are editable
btw isnt the skinchanger for the launcher only? than its mostlikely just an xml thats been loaded...
it changes the notification bar too
It's a good question, one I am surprised I didn't wonder... I will pull a part the apk to see if I find anything
It doesn't replace the framework-res, because the battery mod sticks when changing theme, so I presume it overlays it in some way
Please test this app.
http://www.androidblip.com/android-apps/quick-reboot-96948.html
Teoretical this reboot ONLY all android processes and Android Interface but NOT physically phone.
Maybe modified files on partition / and partition /system (eg flamework) will not disappear ...
Sent from my GT-I5700 using XDA Premium App
Ok guys i ripped up the frameworks before and after changing skins ... And they were the exact same thing ... It seems that the skin changer overlays the existing looks with the theme ... So no changes to the frameworks ... It just overlaps the.framework images with external ones ...
Wow
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
But where is it mirrored? Could sum1 with some app experice please check the code out? There are two possibilties here ... Either it is mirror from somewhere in the system partition ... So it can bypass nandlock ... Or it is mirrored from the sdcard ... So we can make our own themes even for s-on devices

Now I don't have Incredible, so I can't check this,
Here skins for Sense 2.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801928
And here for Sense 2.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048894
The Desire HD until it wasn't S-OFF: First temp root then paste modified "framework-res.apk ' to /system/framework, then hot-reboot (eg this app https://market.android.com/details?id=com.grrmode.quickreboot&feature=search_result), and this worked, maybe it's same with Incredible S?
No i mean like ... The app dosent even touch the feameworks ... It works from files from somewhere else ... Is that /system or the sdcard? Like if u download an extra skin from the HTC Hub... Where is it stored?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
Skins taken from HTC HUB, are simply installing APK to "/data/app".
Flamework-res.apk is in /system/framework to be applied need to reboot the phone. In DHD, when there was no S-OFF helped hot-reboot, it restart android interface but modified files stayed.
APK files modify with eg Winrar
So its in /data/app ... Damn ... Hoping it was on the sdcard ... Too bad
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
Skins HTC Sense: these are the files APK that install like any other program in the (/data/app.) It does not require permanent root, and do not delete at reboot
But you can move through the application manager to the memory card ...
Here tutorial, how create skins for Sense 2.0:

Is it possible to take a phone dialler you like on one rom and add to another if so how?
Yes it is. Just pull the .apk from one rom and push to other rom with root explorer.
However, doesn't mean they are compatible due to different frameworks. Then itll fc. Just back up your old one before.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA
So its just the phone.apk i need what about battery icon on status bar
That's more complicated. I believe its in systemui.apk and framework-res.apk modified.
Much more likely to be incompatible between roms. Phone might stuck on boot ani or mass fc.
So generally bad idea to pull from another rom. Better to decompile and modify current roms.

Running this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462803
Changed the battery icon with CWM with no issues so far to a circular type
Used this battery : EXTENDED_no_header-CRT-CIRCULAR_BATTERY___JVU_ODEX
Was hoping to put ICS phone dialler from this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189676
or one from this rom

If you're meaning for sensation, then no. I didn't edit xhdpi files so you will get very little visual effects...If the demand for this theme grows then I'll edit those as well. So for now only hdpi devices will get full effect. Sorry

Hi indoz i sent you a pm asking how did you theme sense 4.0 do you care to share
IT WON'T HARM YOUR PHONE IN ANY WAY
But still do at your own risk.
Here we all will cooperate and design our own SYSTEMUI, MMS, FRAMEWORK-RES,etc so as to suite our own need.
I'll provide some presets under the name RAZZ MOD.
Requirements:
1. Root access
2. Pc
3. 7zip or Winrar (recommend)
4. Non android phone or SD card reader
For noobs:
It's not a big deal....you won't harm your phone.
You have to just replace some files by changing apk.
Everything is in system/apps except framework-res which is in system/framework
When you will extract the apk, put everything you download in drawable mdpi/xdpi whatever present.
You can replace the apk using any file explorer providing root access.
Reboot after replacing.
When you replace SystemUI you may get multiple force closes, don't panic. Just restart. (Or remove battery)
Note:
I won't draw any text or image regarding RAZZ cause i trust you and think you will not share it without mentioning me and I'll do the same.
Terminate the thanks button. It'll enable everyone here to happily work and find themes for you.
This is an open theme. You too can post your artwork and let others try it. This way we will get hundreds of theme as per our need. Rest will be explained later.
