Got just right now with GPS Test app. But just one satellite. Number 81 but good signal strength. Location India.
As I saw in another thread, as you can see that one is GREYED OUT.. so you didnt actually connect to it. Seeing it, doesnt mean you can use it.

yes greyed out means no connection.
Optimum 2x (p990) is confirmed from LG that it supports Glonass, so why shouldn't this have it?
But on 2x you found more sats then 12.. And that shows that there's a very good chance for Glonass support. I haven't tested it on mine yet..
Edit: tested now, only find 10 sats including 3 Glonass (78, 79, 81) but greyed out. Don't think there is glonass support because then you usually will find between 12-18 sats..

It's GPS test from secret menu (3845#*880#). And 4.1.2 have GLONASS support, but with 4.0.3 you can only see GLONASS satellites but don't use it.

Hm, I was wrong in a earlier post regarding glonass in o2x.
It was o4x that was confirmed by LG that Glonass is supported. I contacted LG Norway long time ago and they confirmed for me that Glonass is supported.
so, EOD? (End of Discussion)

Links or gtfo. The hardware is there (independent GPU), and the power is there (dual-core CPU, 512mb RAM) for ICS but this has been a pipe dream at best, please don't get our hopes up with more rumors. If you have a link, please SOS (Save Our Sanity) and post it.

LOL. I would do the same as you (Ask for a step by step.) however, T-Mobile gets crap for reception in my town. It's not even 2G in my town, so no point in using it. AT&T in my area just recently upgraded to HSPA+. There is no 4G LTE (Even for Sprint or Verizon.)

AT&T is the only carrier in my town, for some reason that has 3G or HSPA+ coverage.
It's how backwoods my town is.
I myself am connected to HSPA+. When I was on Sprint and had my Evo 4G, I had to go to Boston (Over an hour drive) to be able to test it out. Otherwise I'd get about 600 KBPS or so download.

I read somewhere on here that the only thing holding up ICS on the Thrill/O3D is a camera app that's built or the dual cameras and ICS.

Ok fact is: I did lots of tests over 3G but I never ever got over 5mbits tops (2AM tests)
Does it really work up to 7.2Mbits?
Anyone got experience of this?

The providers always write "up to" for a reason. You're most likely never going to reach that speed but that's how high it goes.

Yeah know the marketing, mate.
But since H3G also sells 42mbits internet keys I figured someone lucky must have seen faster speeds...
Otherwise it would mean they don't have the infrastructure.
And if so newphones would be a waste (thinking about getting a galaxy nexus)
By the way isn't there an app to show the connection speed like for wifi?

I assume that the people that actually pay for 42mbps should get speeds near to that. You're paying for 7.2mbps, correct? So about 5mbps is totally fine. There are apps to test your speed. Just search "Speedtest" on the market.

Man I work with computers,I know speedtest: that's how I got my 5mbits figures.
I was looking for something that showed the actual 3G stream speed, like you see 54mbits on wifi links (or even better the modulation!)

If yes you can't see over 7.2 Mbps because the specifications of the modem.
Download HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps
Upload HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps
Hey all, I've tried searching and cannot find an answer to this question. I have the 4X and love it....but my data speeds are horribly slow. I am on the legacy Cingular 410 APN, can anyone suggest anything otherwise? I am in NY, don't know how much that matters. Also, does the 4X get ATT H+? I've only ever seen 3G or H next to my signal bars.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks all.
Anyone lol

My SIM is at least 7 years old and it works perfect! I think there is something else.
Well I am in the UK on the three network in London getting 180kbs never seen h+ on this phone and never saw anything except. H+ on my. S2 the LG specs say it supports h+ but my experiences suggest otherwise.....
i am getting 900 kb/s on H in the netherlands:laugh:
Just one quick question, does anyone knows if this phone has Glonass support or not?
I've read it has A-GPS and S-GPS (Simultaneous) but nothing about Glonass.
No Glonass support.
When used side by side with my old phone the RAZR I shows no glonass.

I tried yelp, it seems to be buggy and not working correctly but that might be because I live in sweden. We have swedish yelp so it should work I guess.
It might also be because I'm using custom ROM called liquidsmooth in my galaxy s3, yelp doesnt work always when my screen on my phone is off, so it could be some powersaving feature that turns off GPS and stuff in that ROM, I'm not sure.
It's a known issue. Foursquare doesn't seem to be working at all, and some people have Yelp working intermittently. Neither work for me at all, and never have. I've e-mailed Yelp and Foursquare's tech support departments but it's been months and have yet to receive a response.
no dice here on FoursSQ.. any one heard from the devs ?
Foursquare was working for me while it was in beta. Now it doesn't. Ha
