Best Battery? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I've looked at recent threads and searched also, but the threads are either all dead or were outdated, so please go easy!
I'm due to go to America this summer, and was looking to buy a few batteries to switch while I take pictures and videos (My Note is the best camera I have), and I really am in need of good batteries, but they MUST be stock sized. I've been looking everywhere, but I'm worried some may be fake, and I don't know whether the ones with high capacities are any different to the stock capacity ones.
Could anyone recommend me any good batteries that will fit the phone and last a long time, but don't cost an arm and a leg to buy?
Thanks in advance!

I have those and they work great

[Q] What's currently the best battery for i9000?

Hello everyone!
I've been owning my wonderful i9000 for two years now, and for a few months battery life has become terrible, even on stock GB ROMS (i'm currently on a CM10 nightly, and it lasts no more than.. 12 hours on moderate use, 6-7 in regular use.
So I've decided to test its capacity with Nova Battery Tester (pretty good app btw), and the result showed me that it had dropped to 750 mAh, that's to say half the stock capacity.
According to the result, and due to my financial incapacity to buy a new Android Phone for now, I've decided to buy a new battery, but I can't decide which one to choose.
I'd really appreciate if some of you could give me some advice.
Have a nice day!

In time batteries will lose there capacity. This is something you cannot prevent. It's caused by some chemical stuff inside your battery. You'll need a new one.
Yeah, I figured it out, that's why I asked advice on which battery to buy (a stock one, an extended one...)
You can buy a 1650mah one which is the same size or a bigger one but it will require a bigger back case. Watch out for fakes (eg. "3500mah from Hongkong")
Go to the Accessories section of the I9000 forum, lots of battery threads.

I’ve got a 1800mAh one which is same size as stock one.
Apparently the galaxy s plus has a 1650mAh battery, which supposedly also fits in our regular i9000 phones. A Dutch webshop sells it here, no idea if they're shipping to other countries though. It's a small 150mAh upgrade.

[Q] Htc desire 816 Battery case

Hey guys. I have done some looking and cant seem to find an extended battery case (as in plugs into the micro usb port) Has anyone been able to find one? On stock Rom with powe saving mode on I lose about 10 percent in 35-40 mins of screen on time at low brightness, which is pretty bad. A extra battery would be Extremely welcome! please link below if you are able to find one! ay alternatives?
Thanks in advance,

Read some reviews and pick one; preferably bigger than 4000 mA.
On second thought, I guess you're looking for those models similar to Iphone battey cases. sorry , No idea where to find one, and I don't think these general power banks are too inconvenient to use

Yeah I was looking for an integrated iPhone-type case. I have a few of the external ones, but they aren't really practical on the go. I did find one case but it was 90$ so that's not a viable option...
Can you link me to that? I might try to get one.
*Edit*: Found it, http://mugen.co/mugen-power-4000mah-protective-battery-case-for-htc-desire-816.html, makes the phone look huge and hideous though

[Battery Mod][Lens Mod] Upgrading original One Plus 3

Well according to this video it seems that the metal body (which contains the sapphire lens) and the 3400 mAh battery are compatible with the original one plus 3. However we need a software tweak to change the battery capacity as seen by the system.
Anyone with any source to buy either the battery or the lens can list it here ( I shall edit the main post to include the links)
I know that one plus has officially 'not condoned' the swapping of batteries. However as a person who praises their business decision but doesn't like their defocus on products I say my moto is also #NeverSettle. I want to see what my current phone can do with these upgrades.
The battery mod doesn't seem dangerous if someone literally hard swapped it without any software tweak but I'm pretty sure a developer can make a tweak for software ? if not please explain why.. It will help us DIY people understand better
The new body is up for grabs anyway if someone can list the sources. Yes it might not be available now but just like OPO and OPO2 parts we maybe able to upgrade in the future
I hope if some major dev has both fones he can come up with this. That would be huge!
Exactly. I don't want to bother devs a lot as they are already facing so much difficulty but I think anyone with a one plus 3T source should be able to port it maybe. That 400maH seems less but for light to medium users it's actually quite an upgrade.
I'll try to post on 3T forums to see if anyone can get it done.
I'm also currently looking for that back metal body. That sapphire lens is better than what Apple provides and DAMN that solved a lot of problems
The selfie camera is also another step but then again that will push the devs too much. Who knows maybe except for the processor we might just replicate the 3T.
watch this video
Um that's the one that I have posted in my original post. Jerry rig everything one right?
Well just goes to say that one plus has made the batteries similar enough to allow it to be used in OP3 Hardware wise.
waiting for any developer to provide any insight.
meanwhile eBay hunt for the rest of us.

Sorry I didn't watched the video mentioned in OP. ?
Yea it's software related so may b a dev can fix this
Seems like my next mod for the OP3
Also, unless the 3400mAh battery has a bigger voltage, I think it could be used without problem on the OP3, even without changing anything, and take advantage of the bigger capacity.

Worth it in 2019?

Hi,
I was looking to buy a P10 new as my new phone. I am hoping to get a couple of years out of it. I just wanted to know if it was worth it to buy this phone now when it's already 2 almost 3 years old. I'm planning on flashing stock on it with OpenKirin, is that the best idea or is there a different or better stock rom out there? Are there any major problems with it I should know? Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Do they still make new P10s? I'd look for some newer flagships like P20.
Admittedly an older device, but still unlockable (you can still find them running EMUI 5 on eBay and the like, and old stock is likely to be running that as well - check the software version!), cheap to repair if it gets damaged, and unlike the vast majority of newer flagships, it's not a gigantic device. (There is something to be said for a 5" display sometimes.)
I've got two of them; one got wedged into a car door and bent without the display breaking, still working, though it needs a new rear cover.
If you find it for <$125 USD, it's probably worth it. Much more and I'd be hesitant.
The only reason i would go for it is if i really want a huawei notchless small display.

and fastest (not in display) fingerprint on front.
Thanks guys for all your replies it really helps knowing what i'm getting myself into! Just one more question about OpenKirin. I really hate EMUI so i'm gonna flash a stock rom, is OpenKirin the best one to do that with or should I go with another rom?

For those on the fence about ordering one

Informative article and the comments are good too
https://www.sammobile.com/opinion/reasons-to-avoid-buying-galaxy-watch-3/amp/
Someone could easily write an article on why they should order one, especially if they either don't currently own a smartwatch, or they own a model that's a couple of generations back.
The 'reasons' given to avoid buying are in some cases very nit-picky.
The price: Well we all wish it was cheaper for sure. It doesn't mean that if you can afford it you should avoid it. The price will no doubt come down and there are always going to be attractive promotions.
Gorilla glass DX vs DX+: Yes, it's disappointing that Samsung have chosen not to use DX+ this time I agree, but that does not mean that GG DX is sub standard. It's still toughened hard glass and it's possible that it will stand up well to the knocks and scrapes of everyday use. It remains to be seen but I am confident it will be good enough and has probably kept the cost down.
Same chipset/smaller battery: The watch doesn't need a crazy chipset upgrade like a phone does. I doubt there will be any compromise. It may have even prevented the watch being even more expensive. The battery is reduced due to the casing being slimmed down. Again I think aesthetics are important in a wearable, the battery will still be good for a couple of days usage.
App support: This is serious nit-picking! I mean come on, how many apps are you going to be running on a watch? Especially when all the ones you will most likely use are covered easily in both Samsung's own Apps and ones found on its store. I laughed when the person who wrote this article complained there is no official Youtube app! Who in their right mind would consider watching videos on a watch for more than a minute? In any case there are third party options if you are desperate.
No 5G: Really? this is a reason not to buy? 5G isn't even a thing for most people and your watch is not going to benefit from super fast connections, data traffic is going to be small overall. This is arguably the most stupid reason in this article!
For those on the fence about ordering one, I suggest you watch some of the hundreds of reviews on youtube or read different articles from different sources, read what people are saying here on XDA and then make a decision that's right for you. The article this thread refers to really is clickbait territory and mostly subjective.
