[HELP] i9000 Bluetooth problems - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I'm a couple of days trying to solve a problem with the Bluetooth in my galaxy s i9000, already did a restore original parameters through odin with the pit and then flash by odin also to the original rom and then return to JB but even thus does not resolve, however yesterday I made a discovery at least interesting, when I put the original rom (GB) Bluetooth works beautifully with the SIM put in the phone, now with several Roms I tested, JB 4.2.1 or 4.2.2, independently the karnel and ROM (examples: HB2, Avatar, Baked, C-Mix RoM, RemICS, xylon, etc.) when the SIM is put on the phone, my Bluetooth works only 1 time, as it turns off the Bluetooth no longer reconnects, I have to reboot the phone to take it back. If you remove the SIM and restart the phone it works correctly now, connect and disconnect smoothly. My phone is locked to vodafone and not unlocked with the Unlock Galaxy
Tks

Stick to GB Roms ...kidding..
Check the Rom dev page where you got the Rom to see if there are fixes for the issue you are having
Failing that could be something your doing thats wrong...
Did you tick the Re-Partition when you put PIT File in?

Yes, i do everything right... i don't know why this happens.... i have tried a ROM 4.0.4 and bluetooth works fine... i have flashed 4 galaxy s i9000 from friends and none of them have this problem... the strange is why this just happens when i put the SIM card at phone??? Maybe a incompability with SIM card??? that is possible???

[Q] Please help! Can connect to mobile network but not make calls!

Hi
Not sure exactly how ive managed to do this, but il try to explain.
I got a i9000 from a mate that was locked to orange uk,
I updated it to gingerbread via kies as it had eclair on it, rooted it, then sim unlocked it. Everything was working fine at this point.
I played around with a few different roms until i found one i liked (miui)
Everything seemed to be working fine, was registered on t-mobile could browse the net. but then when it came to making calls it would hang up straight away, within 2-3 seconds of pressing call!
Since then ive reflashed it meny times thinking its probably either a rom of kernel issue, but still no luck.
just to clarify, it made calls ok after sim unlock, it still connects to t-mobile and i can still browse the net ok
If anyone has any ideas of what i could try please reply
Cheers Rod
I think u haven't put the phone and csc and pit and pda files to their place. U've put phone with pda and viceversa.
try flashing different rom with 3 files... i hope that will work
the only rom i could find with 3 file was an eclair one,
i assumed i still gotta use the 512 pit file with that?
tried swapping the pda with phone and it failed half way through
heres the files ive got and where i put them
s1_odin_20100512.pit = PIT
MODEM_I9000XXJG1.tar = PHONE
CODE_I9000XWJG5.tar = PDA
CSC_I9000OXXJG4.tar = CSC
U can flash darky resurection. U can find hole package with odin and all.

[Q] Possible to fix missing baseband, IMEI, and SIM card errors?

I recently bought a for parts Captivate off of Ebay, Description saying the unit would only power on and that the touchscreen wasn't working.
I looked at the photos and determined that it must be a hardware malfunction, I have some spare parts to try and see what I could do.
(since my previous cappy fried after a botched job re-applying the unbrickable mod that had worked once before)
I receive the phone, in near new condition, no battery and dented back cover, and I thought "okay, no problem" and got to work trying see what was wrong exactly
I was unable to determine what android revision since I would reboot after lockscreen, so I flashed it with various roms, including AOCP 2.2, Slim Bean and at&t GB's that had been rooted with odin and cwm for slim bean and aocp and cm10
So the following symptoms happen based on which android revision I use
2.1 stock
- phone reboots seconds after the phone has booted to the touchwiz lockscreen, touch screen has no response, I can't say it's 2.1 definitely but could be since every other rom works fine except any signal or data other than wifi
2.2, 2.3.X and all the way to 4.1.1
- SIM card detection - does not warn of missing sim or bothers to detect once inserted
- IMEI is unknown other than the one on the sticker, which is in one piece
- Baseband is unknown even if I flash a modem
I've replaced the sd card/sim card daughter board that also connects the loud speaker to the mainboard. Still nothing. at least the sd card and speaker work.
So... any ideas or should I use this phone like a Galaxy player minus the front camera?

There could be a lot of things wrong with it since you are at least the second owner and don't know the full extent of possible damage.
But lets assume all things are functional but calls and data. I do want to clarify though, other than the 2.1(?) flash your screen responds as normal? If so try getting a one-click version of 2.2 and flashing it back to stock. Then just for good measure download Kies, which is Samsungs official firmware update client. It should take you to 2.3(Gingerbread). Now is the time to go into your phone settings and check your IMEI. Make sure it matches what's under the battery. Hopefully reverting back to stock with official software will restore your IMEI.
I've personally never had my IMEI get screwed up during a flash but after reading countless posts, and responses regarding the issue it seems that a lot of time if you are missing your IMEI the baseband version will show unknown as well. As for not showing a missing SIM warning I am at a loss but those are the best steps I can tell you to take in an effort to recover your IMEI.
Also if the above steps get you back in business make sure you do a backup of your /efs folder before moving ahead with any other flashing of ROMs to avoid a possible repeat of the same issues.
I'll give kies a try after downgrading, thanks
Kies says connecting... and then after maybe 5 - 10 minutes later says could not gather info on GT-i9000.

Hmm well I'm going to say you have i9000 bootloaders installed on your cappy. So Kies is getting confused and can't find the right software for your phone...
You could try doing a Gingerbread one-click with bootloaders for the cappy but you run a serious risk of permanently bricking your phone when you start messing with bootloaders. Of course as it stands you don't have more than an mp3/video player.
My suggestion would be to go ahead and grab one of the stock one-clicks with I897 bootloaders. As long as you don't pull the plug during the 1-2 seconds it's flashing those, you'll be fine. Once you've flashed, if you still can't get it, you can try the /efs repair that's in the development section.
It sounds to me like the SIM card slot could be borked, though. If that's the case, I believe connexion2005 (Josh at mobiletechvideos) offers a service to repair that for a nominal fee. If getting it working as a phone isn't a big deal, then you can just ignore the SIM slot repair and get one of the Captivate Touch roms and make it a media player.
Hello, back and so far flashing with uckk4 with bootloaders, and uckf1 also with bootloaders, so far same issue, no signal, imei, or baseband

I'm gonna say you're definitely having some hardware issues at this point. Sounds like you have a media player.

I also found that I have no gps when running on UCKB2.
Anybody know where a custom 2.1 rom could be found? having a bit of trouble finding 2.1 custom rom that's odin flashable
Because now /efs is now NOT mountable and empty, good thing I made a efs pro backup, But nv_data.bin is mostly blank in hex workshop. Is that how it supposed to be?
EDIT - nvm about 2.1 roms, anything to fix umountable /efs would be nice, also nice would be if I stopped messing with my phones

i had the same problem the other day what worked for me was leaving the sim card out while flashing the modem, reboot, then shut down and insert sim card.

[Q] 3g not woriking after installing a cutom rom.

So, I recently installed CM9 and on top of that SlimBean 2.6. Both worked otherwise perfectly, but I couldn't get my 3g connetion to work on either one, unless I turned "National Roaming" on. I checked the Acces Point Name settings, and they seem to be fine. I can't find my service provider on the Network operators list though. I read that a new modem migth do the trick, but I have no idea if that will help or which modem to choose.
I had a similar problem after going to CM9. I even had my APN (access point names) settings disappear randomly also.
Solution for me was to turn 'airplane mode' on....wait 30 seconds then turn off.
Strange as it sounds but it actually worked for me. But in the end, (after 1 day) I changed to samsungized 12.1 JB rom because I found that I had to use that airplane mode on/off alot and was too much of a pain.
Hope this helps.
If not, I'd revert back to a stock rom then upgrade to a stable JB rom
Tried just that, but no luck so far. Any other suggestions?

Id recommend trying a good stable stock rom with a 512_pit repartition via Odin, just to see it it improves the modem or not.
The rom im going to suggest has a replacement Modem file within.
Might sort the problem.
Ive used this stock rom to fix my many problems ive had after custom roms.( Mainly format errors i had )
Its from 'HotFile' site and took me around 20 mins to download it.
But it might be worth the wait in your case.
Rom File:
http://hotfile.com/dl/140301534/be8872c/I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA.rar.html
Here Is the Pit File and Odin version I used. ( 3rd box down the page )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881
And heres the Root file. Get " CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS " :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15188469
s1_odin_20100512.pit Goes in PIT ( repartition checked )
CODE_I9000XXJVU_CL851880_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5 Goes in PDA
GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVU.tar.md5 Goes in CSC
MODEM_I9000XXJVU_REV_00_CL1092175.tar.md5 Goes in phone
Sorry if im telling you what you already know with how to use Odin, just making sure.
After rom install pop this root on with Odin via download mode.
CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS goes in PDA
I reckon its worth a shot.
Must make sure the 3 wipes are done before the rom install. I learned this the hard way and messed my
phone up for a while.
Problem solved! I did some googling around, and found a solution. Apparently my carrier, Saunalahti, is known for having problems with 3g on custom roms. I found out that a nexus s modem by the name of i9020AUCKF1 might work. And sure enough, it did the trick! No more roaming! Anyway, thanks for taking the time to help me!

[Q] S1 didn't connect to mobile network

Hi all,
I have a strange behavior with one Galaxy S1.
I bought a used S1 on eBay and flashed Darky Rom V11 Black Edition on it. After that I gave the phone to a friend. He inserted his SIM Card (Provider Blau.de). But the phone can't connect to the mobile network. So i inserted my SIM card in his phone (Provider Telekom.de) and it work.
So i put his SIM Card into my phone (also an S1 with Darky Rom V11 Black Edition) and it work too.
So I'm a little bit confused.
I flashed several other roms on his phone like DarkyRom Resurrection and Cyanogenmod 9.0 stable but nothing helped.
So all facts in short again.
2 Simcards A and B
And two Galaxy S1 with identically software (Darky Rom V11) 1 and 2
Simcard A in Phone 1 didn’t work.
Simcard B in Phone 2 work.
Simcard A in Phone 2 work.
Simcard B in Phone 1 work.
Does anyone have an idea whats wrong?
Greetings White

first of all: stay stock
as for the sim problem, device might be simlocked
try this maybe /showthread.php?t=1360174
Hi Somator,
I will try stay on stock tomorrow. I tried the Unlocker with the nv_data.bin of the phone. It tells me that it can't find any VIDEOcard and ask me If i want that it patch the file directly. I clicked yes and it wrote a new file. But when I use Winmerge to see the differences between the two files there aren't any.
Have the same problem with my sgs1 .
Replaced my antenna went back to stock.
Flashed new modems.
Still ****ty connection

weird problem + need some help

I don't know if any one of you have encountered this before but here's what happened
I installed a new rom and my network lock came back
so I installed galaxys_unlock + busy box to unlock my phone again.
the phone gets unlocked and signal does seemingly work.
now here's the problem.
my sim card + plan can go on internet. but for some reason when I try to go on the internet it doesn't work.
I clicked on mobile network on my phone and what shows up was this message of "insert SIM card to access network service"
which really confuses me because I can actually make phone calls.
If anyone has any solutions please let me know. I'll be more than happy to try it.
Is it even normal for my n7000 to lag so much and have so many problems? I feel like I spend more time trying to fix it than actually enjoying it.
1 Try restock to see if problem from rom side or hardware
2 Reinstall new rom, make sure file downloaded match md5 (might be corrupt dl) and follow instructions
3 Update latest proven stable kernel for that rom
4 If else fail try diff rom or restock
Good luck

What does restocking mean???
Restock = basically back to original official stock firmware of the rom (non moded ics/jb based).
Also good idea to state your rom that you use, carrier etc, hopefully other user of that same rom can guide you?
I think you need to put the settings for internet access back in
