Hi, a friend told me, it's bad to have a black status bar because the pixel with black don't go tired, like the ones, with colours or white. So i want to ask, do the pixel go tired, when they are on? And is it bad to have a black status bar or a wallpaper with a lot of black? Google didn't helped :/ I hope you can No i KNOW oyu can

Yes, pixels can burn out blue ones have the shortest life span followed by red and then green (longest), % brightness can affect oled life too 50% brightness means almost double the lifetime( vs95%).
Black status bars vs wallpaper can be noticed after 1000 to 1500 hours of display usage when changing from portrait to landscape as a more brighter band on the respective screen side
That is why Samsung has opted for a more grey notification bar with green battery icon and grey clock.

The tint of the Nexus 6's screen is due to it being an AMOLED screen. You could try this app but I haven't used it before so IDK if it will do what you want. It requires root.
You'll have to wait for custom kernels to have color control options (RGB, Gamma)
Hi friends I wanted to know does your N5 display show colour tints while holding 180 parallel to the eye is this natural oled problem or there is problem with my diaplay
It problem is only in white background in browser or setting

there is no problem with ur display it s problem with all display that showing a tint from that angle!
AMOLED are sometimes turn to purple or blue
LCD are turn to white or black (become dark)
:good:
Just curious which Screen Mode setting people prefer on the Display settings ? Is any one better on battery life or those mides don't effect battery ? Which mode really makes this awesome Note 5 show off it's screen best ?
AMOLED cinema seems to bring out the deepest and richest colors, and the purest white whites. Where Photo seems the most subdued and neutral colors.
Can we tweak the display like we can on Nexus or CM ROM's with kernel apps ?

Well i like cinema allot but im little worried about battery drain and/or oled life span not sure if it speeds it up in anyway or not i cant find an answer but if your not worried about either of those I'd pick cinema why would i want dull colors while i could have beautiful rich colors it just pops and really shows of what these screens can do i have a g4 as well and quantum display just seems to have more color and seems more attractive so ya show of that amoled let the colors burst every time you unlock the screen

How well do you know your fifty shades of grey? Rate this thread to express how good the Lenovo P2's display contrast is. A higher rating indicates that black is true black, rather than a very dark gray.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
The super amoled screen is excellent in this domain.
It is an AMOLED display. What do you expect? Black is pure no light. The screen is switched off a the dark areas. It is excellent for inverted text reading (grey text on a black screen) with very low power consumtion..
I cant really distinguish the bezels and dark background of soft nav keys.wow
i use sustratum with swift black theme....
it is PERFECT.... awesome too see each app with black theme.
i comparedside by side the black of other phones of my friends and everyone now noticed HOW MUCH COOL is to have an amoled display eheheheh ( my first amoled phone and i am on love , i won't turn back to ips)

I set my green value to 96, now it's perfect!!

Hello, I have a few days with my s10e but today I notice something strange thanks to xda labs app, scrolling threads on some picture profile was black so was a black circle and when I scrolling in that part the black circle, it's hard to explain with words but when the black circle moves it just moves and left a black trace like a shadow and disappear slowly until I stop scrolling, only with black objects do that, is it normal or its a faulty screen?
Perfectly normal for oled

That's not true, all AMOLED screens do this new or old, some less than others but if your screen is dim and you scroll with black on the screen slowly you'll see ghosting
Thanks everyone, I was thinking was a hardware related and to exchange it right away but need proof first
Colour changing
While increasing brightness slowly i mean really slowly i can see display colors changing like normal then purple again normal again purple do it slowly guys please let me know thanx.
