[Q] Ubuntu Touch install via Safestrap problem - Motorola Droid Bionic

Downloaded Ubuntu Touch and Phablet several days ago.
Used Safestrap and installed as instructed.
Worked fine. Played with Ubuntu Touch for some time.
Downloaded latest Ubuntu Touch and Phablet today
Can not get it to work now.
Used Safestrap as before as instructed.
When rebooting screen goes blank and remains that way.
Have waited up to an half hour with no results.
Deleted Slot 4: recreated Slot 4 and installed Ubuntu Touch first then Phablet as instructed.
Did this three times.
Downloaded both zip files again.
Still; nothing.
Any ideas on how to solve this?

Random reboot and freezing

I bought a Droid from ebay with a known problem of a boot loop. I got it fully booting up and somewhat working. It was on android 2.0 so it was easy to root. I then with rom manager installed CWM and installed the latest Cyanogenmod 7. I have formated all partitions before installing C7. My question is i'm still getting multiple reboots before it finally boots. Then random freezing and reboots happen.
Is there a fix for this phone?
Well i think i know what the problem is. The screen needs to be calibrated. I went into dev tools on CM7, pointer location and the with 1 finger placed on the screen it jumps around and is very shaky. On my other droid it is a single pixel. Is there a way to calibrate the screen?

Really confusing boot loop (Rooted Stock)

I recently returned to stock 1.2 with the default recovery flashed (CWM SD card), and then I upgraded to 1.3, and then rooted with the ManualNooter 4.5.18 and 4.6.16 (or whatever their numbers are, I followed the instructions to the T).
It worked fine and I installed everything i needed from the market/titanium backup/etc but the second time I reboot the device it is stuck in a boot loop. The splash screen slowly writes out the word "Nook Color" and it will complete this once, but the second time it does this, it reaches the L in Color it stops and starts over. It will do this for hours.
I wiped it and started fresh over, reinstalling 1.2, re-updating to 1.3, re-nootering (sounds dirty...) all over again, re-installing all my apps all over again (took forever) and yet it still does this. As soon as I rebooted it, this began again
I'm a longtime lurker with a rooted and much-abused DInc, I've had PhireMod, CM7 (without the sleep of death) and Honeycomb on my Nook all without issues (that I couldn't fix). But this has me completely flummox'd. What makes this harder to deal with is that my Nook will not recognize my home Wi-Fi so I have to do all my work on it during my lunchbreak (another issue entirely; unrelated, home wifi is a software solution)
Any Ideas? I haven't yet had the chance to flash the better kernel, because when I reboot it's stuck in this loop. I tried re-nootering and that did not help.
Same with me. Happened 3 times to me last night. I'm still figuring out what i can do to make stock 1.3 + OC + rooted to work.
I'm trying to determine what I did in those 3 times in common. Only thing i can think of i did in all those 3 times was OC +format SD card and installed titanium backup from market.
I'm sure its not a new issue because I remember this happening to me a month ago then I gave up and just went back to miui.
I had the same problem. Look for post about adobe flash causing boot loops. I solved the issue by:
1: after installing 4.6.16, I signed into the marked, downloaded titanium backup
2: used TB to delete the copy of abode flash and adobe air.
3: restarted the nook and had no boot looping.
4: I searched and found a copy of the current adobe flash and sideloaded it using CWM.
It's been 3 day and no boot looping.
Regards
I also had the boot loop issue. It was caused because I updated my flash. Check out this thread....it fixed my issue.

Thanks, Johnny. You've saved me a lot of trouble.
No problem! Happy to help! Thankfully GMPOWER threw together that zip file for everyone!!
Be careful when you install any 3rd party keyboards to /system, it also resulted in boot loops for me with a few of them

HP Touchpad Toolbox not working????

So I downloaded all the files that I need and start with a fully charged touchpad. I currently am running an older version of android on it with webos, but decided since I have not used webos in over 2 years, why not wipe it clean, install a new version of android and just leave off webos.
Now with everything in place, I connect the touchpad in recovery mode, start touchpad toolbox, i see the commands scroll on the touchpad screen for maybe 1 or 2 seconds and it then just reboots itself. Am I missing something or is this just not working?
I even thought maybe I was running low on storage and did a factory reset of android to wipe everything that was installed off with no luck.
I just want to wipe this clean and do a fresh install of kitkat or whatever. dont need anything else on it, dont even need the multiboot. Any recommendations out there?????

I have heard no reports of what you describe.
I suggest using TPToolbox v41 from here (download link in that post):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54986968&postcount=293
and try again.
If it does it again, I will need to see a kernel log file to help diagnose what's happening.
To get that, following the instructions on this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53258228&postcount=10
but replace steps 1-3 with:
1) Load Touchpad Toolbox
2) Start holding the Volume Up button
3) Continue to hold VolUP until you see the big USB symbol (i.e. webOS recovery)
Errgghh
Downloaded but not sure what is going on. I think the problem my be with something being overwritten during one of the first attempts. With the USB logo displayed, I connect it to the PC. The minute it starts to transfer, it resets and I see the hp logo and then the boot screen. At this point it is stuck in a rebooting loop for several times. I even just tried webos doctor and it starts at 1% and as soon as it hits 2% it reboots the same way.
Also will not mount as a USB drive on the PC. Just as a palm noobie or something so I can not access anything on the device manually.
While I have not experience your issue I have had other issues that were resolved by changing to a different USB cable. Might be worth a try.
Sent from my MT2L03 using Tapatalk 2
Having the same issue. From USB to HP logo, then 1.5 seconds of text and then reboot. Tried V41 and V42 and tried multiple USB cables.

[Q] TP Toolbox frozen

I looked and I found no posts related to this so im sorry if its already been asked/answered.
I was very excited when i found JCsullins's tp toolbox and his great work on new roms and such. I deciede that i wanted to upgrade from my 4.2.2 milaq build to JCsullins's 4.4.4 and give TP toolbox a try at the same time. I have flashed my device plenty of times so I'm familiar with the process and I jumped in (after reading the instructions on the tp toolbox ofcourse) and tried to boot it. It boots fine and looks easy to use and intuitive.........except all i can do is look After the tp toolbox booting completes, it is stuck on the "About TPToolbox" option and my vol up/down and home buttons do nothing. I can blank and unblank the screen but nothing else. I do have novacom properly installed and am running the boot script on windows as local admin. Any thoughts? Thanks.
EDIT: I tried it on a different machine and got the same result. Both have 8.1_U1 so i'll try a win7 machine next. In both cases, i used the "universal novacom installer" from google code. Maybe i should hunt down the other one? I couldn't find it before.
EDIT2: Version 41 works fine

Hi, I'm having this same problem as well with version 40. Can you tell me how to reset my touchpad back into webos recovery so I can try again with version 41? As of right now I ran version 40 and it froze in the same manner and I can't get it to reboot or do anything except blank and unblank the screen. Thanks in advance.

Samsung Tab s2 stuck booting into TWRP

Ive been lurking on this forum for a while but ive finally hit a wall I cant find an answer to
I successfully rooted my tablet using magisk and TWRP about 4 months ago, everything was going great. about 2 months ago my tablet booted up into TWRP and would not get out, no matter what I tried. eventually I fixed it by wiping everything and reflashing stock ROM from ODIN and going through the root process again, not a big deal. cut to 2 days ago, my tablet restarts and boots into TWRP again and wont boot into system, basically seemed like the same as before, until I plugged it into my computer
For some reason, my tablet no longer connects to ODIN or my laptop at all. Ive used the same cable and different device and same usb port and it worked just fine, ODIN picked up the connection and everything. Ive updated and unistalled and reinstalled drivers for all the USB ports and I dont think that is the issue. I even deleted and reinstalled ODIN but still nothing.
I thought maybe there was some setting on the tablet that might be preventing a connection to ODIN, so I wiped the rooted ROM off the tablet (im new to this, dont know if this was a bad idea) and tried again but got nothing. now with a soft bricked tablet I got a micro SD card, put a TWRP flashable version of the ROM onto it and plugged that into the tablet and flashed this new ROM onto the tablet, and that worked from what I can tell (system folder went from like 8mb to 17000 or something) but I still cannot get the tablet to boot into system.
I can access download mode (there appears to be two versions, one where it just says downloading and another where a bunch of text appears on the top left, some of it mentioning ODIN) and all the functions of TWRP, but ODIN does not connect and I cant get it to boot into the system.
TWRP version 3.1.0.1_ashyx
link to the post where I got the stock lite version of the ROM currently flashed to my tablet:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/rom-nougat-stock-lite-v1-t3746583
any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry for the wall of text.
Wish I had something useful to add. I'm having the same issue. TWRP 3.4.0.0 and LineageOS. I've had this issue forever. I flash a clean ROM, it works for a week or two, then I come back to it and all I get is recovery.
I can access Odin however.
Usually it takes wiping and installing a ROM to get the device working again, in fact it issue takes several rounds of that. But of course, in all of that I've lost my setup and some files.
Is there an actual solution to this?
On my T810 I'm having TWRP 3.3.1-0 with this ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/rom-aospextended-rom-v6-7-t3979381
plus Magisk and Pico Gapps.
Of course it's only Pie and not Q, but working well.
3.4.4-0 not tested yet.
Once had an issue with black screen, but at that time I was using case with a screen cover.
Since that I've switched to TPU case only covering the back.
No more issues after that, perhaps it was a problem with FlipFlap like on other devices.
