I need a help!!!
After updating to 7.8 I've got follow problems:
- can't set any new account (e-mail, facebook, etc)
- can't create new SMS, or e-mail
- can't open keyboard in settings
- can't open lock-screen settings
- can't open about in settings
anyone can help to fix these issues.
Try hard reset the phone, if that doesn't fix anything, use the goldcard method to downgrade the os and start upgrading again or you can use deepshining or dynamics, those are excellent roms.
did you find a solution for this ? I have the same issue with a friend's phohne

I'm having the same issues as OP, can you redirect me to the page?
I haven't had any problems since upgrading to WP7.8. I'm using the official ROMs (ie. non-cooked) BTW.

Forget the official, just install dynamics and a moment later Zune will give you 2 updates, no problem so far...

Do you guys have the same experience? There are some bugs...
1) SMS

I woud not recomend this ROM. The 1.37 more bugfree....

I am using 1.93 for some time now and I never experienced any of the problems you described, nor have I red about someone else who did.
I seems like something went wrong when you flashed your Diamond, if I were you I would try again (perhaps make a hard reset as well).
... I'm using 1.93 too - no issues as you've described either. Come to think of it, I haven't had any issues at all!
I have been using 1.93 for quite a while and it is working beautifully...touchflo is very responsive and moving from one application to another is smooth.

I use this rom for a few month now. I didn't detect any bugs until now.
I think you should try to reflash it after you download it again to be sure it is not corrupted
and try the 1.09.25.23 radio also

I just did a hard re-set on my phone, and it looks like it has cured the problem that i was having.
But my question is...do i have to update the ROM again? Or will it still be the updated version? I have checked and it says 1.93.405.

... yes, that is the latest one released officially from HTC. Other users in this forum may have newer versions, but like you, I'm keeping to the official version for now. I'm certainly not having any of the issues people are discussing here, which makes me wonder... would they still be having these issues had they not upgraded their device with an unofficial ROM?
A hard reset on a PPC is like using a restore CD\DVD on your desktop computer. It will place the initial software back erasing all data.
So there is no need to update. Also, the latest build or number does not mean it's the best. So if you like your device just leave it as it is.. ..meanwhile read about other users experience about different ROM's this way you stay on the save side

I installed Ansar's 7.8 ROM last night and its AMAZING no issues so far But be careful while installing Homebrew apps. I installed color start menu and it works fine if you choose first option. But if you select any one of the other two options (WP8, Xbox) your phone's screen will not show anything except time after reboot and none of the keys will work. You have to take the battery out to switch off your phone. I think the reason behind this is that app needs to be updated for 7.8. Only solution right now is to reset your phone.

in deepshaing rom .. it didnt works 2.20 and even 2.21 .. and its so confuses .. so i wondered if it work in nasar so i can install the rom instead .. so if it work pleeas tell me cuz i dont want to install again and again contact and app all over again :angel:

Why don't you save your contacts to your liveID that way all the contacts will be downloaded at once.

Edit: It has been updated and right now running official WP 7.8... WOW...
Just pulled out the old HD7 and managed to get it to update as well. Maybe this will give it a bit of an extended life and I can pass it on to a family member.

This does not mean, that you are going to use home brewed ROM, but exactly opposite way. If you update it this way, you will get official updates through Zune.
Just do what is mentioned in the update post:
"Connect to computer, place in Airplane Mode, check for updates and quickly disable Internet connection."
I have just pulled the network cable after 2-3 sec. after update check started and waited. After several tries (~2-10) Zune told me, that there is an update available. Than you just reconnect the cable and run the update.
Repeat for each update. Than you have official updates installed.
There could be maybe more updates in your case, because you have only 7.10.8107.79 version, but at the end you should end up with official 7.10.8858.136. :fingers-crossed:

I'm using custom 7.8 ROM but it's slow when opening apps.
This forced update is because of Microsoft, not HTC....having said that, it seems to be regional but I will try to force my USA phone today...

It seems to me a bit smoother. No problem with performance at all - it is fast as the Mango/Tango version. But it is only my opinion.
I have a T-Mo US HD7 that is unlocked. It's running the latest OS stock. I tried to force update it many times but only got the error 'Make sure youre connected to the internet'. Can someone please help me out with this?

Same here, that's why I think it's regional...I forced all my other updates but not this one.

Avoid that annoying trick and try this: http://www.wpcentral.com/tool-make-installing-windows-phone-78-update-easier
Just download, install it, it will ask you to install another flashing program when u start it, the install everything step by step and u will get it quickly... its was easier for me than the Zune "trick"...!

I have a HTC HD7 on 7.8 Dynamics custom ROM and i found two weird issues that might be connected to the ROM.Sometimes while on cellular data connection the phone can't seem to open any https webpage(like facebook,twitter,google etc.) and also the facebook app and the people hub don't work.In the same manner the weather app(Amazing Weather),which is not user-related or https,won't update.None of this happens while on wifi connection.The reason i think it's the OS's fault and not the operator's is because when i open Opera Mobile(which is a homebrew app and therefore not related to wp7 i don't have any https problems).Also any https page is not recorded in IE browsing hisory.
The other issue i encountered is the phone failing to connect the artist to the music marketplace,which is not really significant,i just wanted to report it.Any help with this will be appreciated.
