Hey guys so I did some stupid things and ended up where I am currently...its a long story so please bear with me...
Due to some water getting into my phone sometime ago my home button broke(hence cant go into recovery, without adb)...So I started using Button Savior and navigation bar in CWM ROM's...then I switched recently to Ultimate Rom...I was running Ultimate ROM (LSZ_JB_4.1.2_v5.2) and it was all well ...until I pulled out the battery while the phone was on and it got stuck in a boot loop...
This bootloop went to the samsung animation for 2 boots(I was not at home then since I could have gone into recovery with adb right then and there)...but when I got home the boot just got stuck at the splash sreen(black and white "Samsung Galaxy Note) and adb couldnt detect a device(adb reboot recovery couldnt be run)
Now as I couldnt go into recovery by any other method,so I went into download mode and flashed GB+Prerooted+CWM stock(Dr. Ketan's thread) and it still wont go into the boot animation section so that adb could be used to boot into recovery...
Basically I want something like this right now:
A ROM that would do an auto wipe after flashing using Odin.
like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26484341
As I'm sure a full wipe is all that is needed to solve this issue.
But I can't access recovery because my home button is broke
Could someone kindly point me to a ROM that would do this?
check in this thread

look for roms that has Wipe written besides it..
these roms are not rooted so... you will not have cwm

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I don't think so... Anyway I had a perfectly working Galaxy Ace coming with stock Android 2.3.4. So I tried rooting it, and I did see the superuser icon but I couldn't apps into the SD card. So I ignored it and downloaded a custom rom and entered recovery mode, wiped data and cache first and rebooted. Then I installed the rom in recovery mode and it said installation successful but when I rebooted I got stuck at the "GALAXY ACE" page and I noticed a weird small blue triangle at the top left hand. And nothing happens. Please help it's nearly brand new! My parents don't know yet... If there is a way to use the com and download the stock rom please provide step by step instructions that was my first smartphone so much help would be appreaciated!

Am not an expert but i would take battery out then put back in holding volume down key home key and power key at sametime to put into download mode then flash your stock rom via odin to get it back running again
have you done a datwipe in cwm after installing? try that first
Hey there!
Before We get to ODIN
Start phone in recovery mode ( Center Button + Power Button ) and then:
- Do a Factory Reset
- Do Wipe Cache
Then Reboot
If he boots great!
If not and still remains at ACE screen do this:
1st - Download Odin 4.38 (http://www.4shared.com/rar/UqBhp5Qd/Odin_Multi_Downloader_v438_www.html)
2nd - Download Cooper.ops (http://hotfile.com/dl/138852983/36a55ea/Cooper_v1.0.ops.rar.html)
3rd - Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/ and search firmware for your s5830
Then choose the rom that suits you best (download one from your country if possible)
After the above steps are done open odin
At "option" select - "One Package, Auto-Reboot And Protect OPS"
At "select OPS" - choose "Cooper.ops" (The file you´ve downloaded)
At bottom is "One Package" - In here put the file of the room you´ve dowloaded
Finaly put phone in download mode (Vol. Down + Power Button) and connect it to your PC.
Wait for odin to recognize your phone, a yellow sign will light up, ( you need samsung kies in your computer so odin recognize your phone)
And then hit "Start"
Wait about five minutes at the end your phone should reboot by itself
And that should be it
If your phone reboots but stuck ate samsung boot animation.
Remove Battery
Put it back again
Turn your phone into recovery mode ( Center Button + Power Button )
Do Wipe Factory/Reset and Wipe cache, reboot,
and your good to go!
I rebooted I got stuck at the "GALAXY ACE" page and I noticed a weird small blue triangle at the top left hand

the blue triangle isn't this CWM 5?
or if can you get to recovery mode try flashing the original stock recovery first
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437426
then install a stock rom with Odin
and boot from the stock recovery to fix the phone boot
if recovery is working you should fix the phone easily with stock rom.
installing a stock rom will install the stock recovery by itself!
so no need to flash stock recovery before flashing stock rom!
Can someone please explain what went wrong here in the first place?

wellll some custom rom require pre installation of another rom... like INFINITY ICE CREAM SUNDAY they require CM& to be pre installed....
so i would suggest u to reflash 2.3.4 on ur ace using odin...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071970
if it locks on start screen
go in recovery mode and do a factory reset and cache reset... enjoy
then flash as per instructed on the custom rom page.....

I mean a real link... The only link I see is to hotfile and for some reason I CAN'T DOWNLOAD T.T
I've made you a full tuturial!
in there was a link to samfirmware! In samfirmware is all the roms you could ever need!
Keep trying hotfile!
Cause of download limitations sometimes it takes a bit before you can download anything

yes it does enter what i presume to be download mode (up to continue, down to restart)
Boot into download mode and flash a stock rom via Odin then start over your not bricked don't worry
After you do the stock ROM via Odin and let it settle, you can try the ICS repack again. Someone here can help you, but theres already good threads out there for step by step.
One thing I can say since you asked what not to do again is use PC Odin instead of Mobile Odin. Yes, you will get a triangle but you can use triangle away to get rid of it, if you wish. I personally sport the triangle on my phone
Yeah, your phone is not bricked, no worries.
Here's a thread that will help you, make sure to get correct files and flash to stock using PC Odin:

Try long pressing power button and rebooting, if not downloading mode is your way, (do you have ICS rom zip into SD Card?), you will need it to flash it, goes to development threads and you can find it, you can choose one of them, actually I´m on Criskelo V2 LPC6 its good for dayly use its full working, when you got it press at same time Vol +/power button/home and enter in Clockwork mode goes to install zip from sd card, choose from sd card and ICS zip, back to menu wipe data, wipe cache, goes to advanced and wipe dalvick cache, reboot system now and follow steps introducing gmail account and its all enjoy yor NOTE with ICS.
Hi Guys
I really hope someone can help me!
I've searched the forums and can't find anyone else with my problem.
I flashed ICS stunner and that was working fine.
Then I tried LiquidSmooth and eventually got that working fine.
Then I tried to go back to ICS Stunner and this is where my problems start.
I had some failed flashes with CWM and I think I've messed up the kernel.
I tried to sort this out by flashing back to pre-rooted GB rom so I could reinstall CF Kernel.
The flash in Odin appears to complete successfully, but afterwards phone just goes into bootloop at Samsung boot animation.
As I flashed back to pre-rooted stock rom I don't have recovery.
As far as I can find, to install a kernel I will need to either boot into android (which I can't due to bootloop) or install through CWM (which I can't as no longer have CWM)
Can anyone help?
Try factory reset from stock recovery.

Turn off your phone, press and hold the three following buttons together for more than 10 seconds: Volume up button + Home button + Power button
That is if you are having bootloops after flashing Gingerbread using PC Odin coming from ICS
Sorry, I know this post is really old, i have the exact same issue. I dont have a home button so what can i use instead of that? also when it try to boot into recovery it just shows the open android logo.

You do not have the same issue because here nobody spoke of a missing home button.
So: What do you mean? Your home button is broken? Or you do have a device without home button?
After this is clear we can start to analyze your problem.

So, I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S5 G900h. I was trying to install a ROM, wich needed the PhilZ Touch Recovery, wich, as you probably know, in order to install it you must go into recovery mode. Thats when things started to go down. I wasnt able to boot into recovery mode, when i pressed VOLUME UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER, i got the samsung screen, and it didnt went off ever, unless i take the battery out. I tried everything (it wasnt the reactivation lock, i had it deactivaded), i was desesperate to get to the fricking recovery mode, so I found this app called QUICK REBOOT, wich allowed me to boot the phone in recovery mode by just selecting an option. So I did. Now my phone doesnt boot anymore, it shows the Samsung logo and it stays there forever. I have no idea what to do now, please help me :crying: im such a noob in these things

Use Odin to flash stock firmware back, then reflash the first custom recovery. Then boot to recovery and flash Philz. Then reboot recovery and flash the ROM.

Yep, but it is best to use the one with the closest location to yours...that also speaks the same language.
