I just got the javoedge no-glare screen protector and it is the best I have used.
I think that the zagg invisiblesheild is amazing and bulletproof, but has a terrible glare. The one from javoedge makes this phone usable during the day outside.

Outside Use
If it was mid-day, brightest sun you can get directly over head...when I try to use my phone, I jack up the brightness to 100%.
Then I would usually have to cover it with my hand, and still get very little ability to see the screen.
I'm using, and have been for about 6 months:
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
It's like impossible to scratch and the screen is perfect.
The main problem is glare / daytime usability. I'm ready to buy the one you suggested almost ASAP just for that.
How many do you get, just the one, I still might have to try this out it sounds better than my walmart ones.Wow might have to try them both.
I used the zagg one you have and love it for durability (I had the whole phone protector and loved it until it got gunky around the edges). The issue was glare; I couldn't see anything with it on.
With this you get one screen protector, but it is all you need. With the regular phone with no screen protector I could see about 40%, zagg 30%, this one somewhere around 75% or better (a noticeable increase, not perfect, but much much improved).
The problem with the walmart ones (and most others) is that you don't have the durability that zagg and this one does; with this one you can abuse the screen and still wipe them off with your finger for a perfect view.
I recently purchased the JAVOScreen anti-glare screen protector and enjoy the durability and fitment. However, I find it very hard to use in daylight.
Are you sure you purchased the anti-glare one?

Expensive but the best screen protector I've ever used. I use them on all my mobile devices.

I have been using Pocket PC Techs WriteShields for a long time now all the way back to my Ipaq 3650 days... long before my i700.
They are anti-glare and so dang durable that it is one of those products you just love to recommend. I have been given some other brands here and there along the years and those REALLY cemented my appreciation for the WriteShields. I play a LOT OF SOLITAIRE... like every time I go to the reading room (if you get my drift) and I always my fingernails... along with all my other PDA/phone use. I get around two years out of one of these and that includes just a ridiculous amount of abuse.
I have the same thing on my Tablet PC... it has been there since 2004 and I kid u not... it looks like brand new (obviously not as abused as the phones )

Veloslave......Would you please advise on your visibilty outside during the day.
Can't believe it's not mentioned here.
The best screen protector hands down for any device are the Anti Glare ones from www.Boxwave.com
they'll last forever, are washable, easy to apply, make the touch surface feel more paperlike which makes writing on it nicer, eliminates glare, doesn't show fingerprints... it's just awesome.
I have the on my Sony TG50, my Nintendo DS, and my xv6800. All are perfect.
Well, I have the Zagg invisibleSHIELD, and I like it, it just sucks in the sunlight. I'd like a better one for viewing outdoors, but after reading this post, I dont know what to get. Three to choose from...
Boxwave
Pocket PC Techs
JAVOedge
Choices... choices...
You won't be dissapointed with Boxwave antiglare, trust me. I got my TG50 5 years ago now, and it was a great choice then, still is.
Just ordered the anti-glare from boxwave. we'll see how I like it when it gets here.

I would like to know as a few talk about this one. I use my phone outside and the sun and my screen don't mix with visibility.
Got the anti glare one from boxwave. It's got a lot of pros and not many cons.
Pros:
A dream to write on w/ the stylus.
Very easy to install, not one of those flimsy "rubbery" screen protectors, actually plastic and stiff.
Even if you do get a little dust under it, you cannot see it at all once it's installed.
No air bubbles whatsoever.
Very easy to wipe fingerprints off of.
They say it's removable and washable? I dunno about that, but if I ever have to do it, it's worth a shot I guess.
Cons:
Easier to read in the sunlight, but not near what the website hypes it up to be.
More pros than cons, overall I am very happy with it. I like it a lot better than the Zagg invisibleSHIELD.
-Randy
Glad you liked it. I know I do. They are definetly removeable, and washable, but they are a bit tricky to remove. You must do so very carefully or you can risk bending them, or worse, removiing some of the adhesive which will be noticeable when it's reapplied. I've found to remove them, get them warm first with like a hairdryer to make it easier to remove, and then try to lift a corner with somethign very thin like a razor blade. To wash just rub it with mild dishsoap and water, and then flick it off like a poloroid. You can reapply it evenn with some water still on it.
In my expirence, not much reason to ever remove it. Just clean it while it's still on there.
I'll second the Boxwave screen protectors. I've had the same one on my phone since I got the phone at launch. I've taken it off once to clean it, and I have one very small scratch on it. Pretty impressive compared to other protectors I've used.
I have been meaning to get a screen protector. I am leaning towards Boxwave but last time I had an anti-glare, it made the screen a tad fuzzy. Hmmm....
I'm using the Boxwave Anti-Glare as well. The only issue I ran into is that I had to trim mine just a slight amount for my Mogul, the stock size actually fit under the case edges of the screen and caused my screen to not respond to touch. It does a great job of resisting fingerprints, and the paper feel when writing is definately a plus.
I swear by the Zagg products. It is true they are not that great in the sunlight. I usually crank my brightness but I have used the WriteShields before and they scratch after continue use. Play solitaire for a while and you will see the drag line from the deck to the stacks. Kind of annoying. Zagg will not scratch at all, guaranteed. Check out the Zagg videos on wrapping an iPod and then using a weed wacker on it.
I bought the B&N anti-glare screen protector back in February, and wasn't that impressed with it after trying to read outside or on the beach.
I've seen really good ones for iPhones that cut the glare to almost nothing.
Any recommendations?
I'm curious as well. Anyone find one that works well? Thanks!
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk
Honestly, I find the B&N one to work well, having used a great many similar ones on various iPods over the years.
You're never going to find an anti-glare solution that works at the beach, because glare isn't the issue - ambient light being brighter than what your LEDs are producing is the problem. This is why e-ink readers gained popularity (well, that, and battery life...), and they continue to be very useful for such situations.
Sorry to disappoint - maybe a beach umbrella? =)

So, I keep getting a problem with ghost touches and grubby fingers and I wanted to get a screen protector. Opinions seem to vary wildly on them, so I was curious what everyone recommends. I was actually looking at the Monoprice ones (since they're under $5 shipped). Has anyone tried the the "high transparency" or "matte finish" ones from here?
http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10843&cs_id=1084307
Or is there another kind you like?
I have these http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-Anti-Gla...7?pt=AU_TabletAccessories&hash=item3cbd6dd853 and they work really well. Easy to apply as well.

Cool, thanks. I might have to get those. .... I like this part.... "Accessory ONLY. Device not included" ....darn!
Having a spare is nice too!
I use xoskins. They have a lifetime warranty and they look better than anything else
Thanks. I ordered the ones Zires mentioned -- just awaiting shipment. We'll see how they work out, but for $3.11 I'm not out too much.
@ponyboy82,
Still good for me. The matte finish is great.
I am using the one that came with the Aegis case. After about 4 months it has started lift up around the edges so the time may have come for a new one.
Do any of those screen protectors that claim to allow for reading in daylight really work?
thanks you for the info
Just following up... I finally received and applied the screen protector that zires suggested, and it works great. The installation went pretty well -- I used the hot shower trick as well as some tape on a pen to pick up a couple stray pieces of dust. I actually failed to line it up correctly so had to pick the whole thing back up and reapply it, and it still turned out great. This was actually the best screen protector install I've done.
If anyone else is looking for screen protectors, I'd really recommend the matte/anti-glare ones. It sounds like any of them should be about the same. I actually ordered some for a couple of our phones. I haven't tested daylight reading yet, but it definitely cuts down on smudges and glare, and I haven't had ghost touches happen again yet. The NC won't magically get brighter, but just reducing glare should help in daylight. It does cut down on the clarity a little, but overall not too bad.
I really like the Monoprice matte screen protectors -- I've used them on a number of devices (including the NC) and they are extremely durable, they don't have reflection problems, and their surface feels a lot better than some of the other screen protectors I've found on Amazon/E-Bay.
They're the typical static cling type.
Check out ebay, I bout 4 for 5 bucks shipped, I bought screen covers for my phone tablet and all r great quality, they r generic but u won't notice the diffrence

What we dry screen protector users have been waiting for!!!!!!
All the Dry screen protectors until now have been cutting it short around the edges due to the
curved screen of the glass. NOT ANYMORE!!! LOL!
The Realooks 3D curve SP gets pretty darn close to the edges. Not so much that you can't use a case
The only cut outs are for the home button and speaker up top.
Take a look at the pictures below!!!!
I'm pretty damn satisfied with the product. T
I've been using the phone with the S-pen and haven't noticed much scratching at all.
Since the GN2 utilizes the s-pen, I don't like to use wet screen protectors as they leave marks.
The screen protector is optically clear and I didn't notice any rainbow effect.
Finger prints yes, but any clear SP will leave fingerprints. But easily wiped off.
The SP is up for pre-order and should be shipping out by this weekend.
I searched amazon and looks like pre-orders are going on now.

For one thing it says : PLEASE NOTE: This is a PET material Crystal Clear screen protector that is designed to protect flat part of Galaxy Note 2 / II screen - smaller than entire screen.
So it doesn't cover your ENTIRE screen. Only a portion of it (the flat part).
While the 3D one in the OP states that it molds to the screen (+/-)

The difference is that the curved 3d covers more of the screen. Closer to the edge of the screen.

So this review is the exact same review on the Amazon site. You are the vendor, no? It sure looks that way by the review name used on Amazon. I don't mind a vendor hawking their wares on XDA, but I DO mind not saying as much in the post (making it look as though you are a regular user that is excited about the product or another satisfied user).
If I am wrong about you being affiliated with the company, please say so.
Looks nice. What is the hardness scale? Any proximity sensor issues since it covers them?

no i am not a vendor.
I am in no way making money off of this.
I do reviews and like any other reviewer and we get to a point that allows us to receive items beforehand.
I'm a total OCD gadget freak and if i get a product that I love, then i have no problem sharing with friends on XDA.
If i get a product that I don't like, then i'll share my feelings.
I've been really happy with this company. That is all. If i was the vendor, i would follow the rules on XDA regarding that.
I've been a member of xda with almost 500 posts since i got my galaxy nexus back when it first dropped internationally.
Anyways, I do understand your concern :good: . But back to the topic at hand!
i am also an AVID amazon shopper and i like to help people on Amazon as well... I got lazy and just copy and pasted..
I'm actually thinking of jumping in the pool with the other 90,384,579,034,857 of reviewers on youtube and creating my own channel.
But again, I'm not in anyway affiliated with the vendor nor do i make any money on these types of things.
as far as proximity sensors being affected, i have not noticed any proximity sensor issues.
when i go outside, screen brightens up. when i make a call and bring it up to my head, screen goes dark.
as far as hardness scale, i have no way of testing that. lol

I guess this quote from the Amazon page may answer your question - The surface strength 3H coating will prevent everyday scratches to the LCD screen. I presume that refers to the hardness.

I appreciate the response, however I do note that you clearly have reviewed a number of this company's products on Amazon, and you are now offering this review of a product that hasn't even been released yet. So your relationship is one that allows you to get special perks, such as free stuff to review. I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but you have incentive to give a positive review through this relationship, and therefore, it is biased.
I prefer unbiased reviews myself.
Understand your concerns.

Biased or not, any viewpoint may be better than no viewpoint.
I'll give this one a shot when it comes out. I wasn't a glass protector, but been reading sometimes the adhesive makes them impossible to remove without lifting the screen. I love the feel of my SGP, but hate how small it is compared to the screen

I'll probably buy this. I've used Realook in the past on various phones and I've been very happy with the results. My last phone had the same one on it for over 2 years, and it looked absolutely gorgeous like the first day I put it on.

Hi guys.
I had a few questions i was hoping to get help with, mainly skins, protection etc but also a battery one.
1) i was gutted when the note 7 had its issues with one of the reasons being i loved the coral blue with its copper sort of accents. Is there a skin similar, especially where i could maybe accent the camera module and/or other parts with the copper like colour?
2) linked to question one, is there and skin fitting services or shops that sell the skins that do an installation service?
3) I don't like glass screen protectors and have recently put a wet application tpu one on but the edges don't go very far and attract lots of dust. Any better suggestions?
4) battery life is really poor for me. I like the screen resolution at its highest which i realise is a big part of the problem but are there any suggestions to follow? I've factory reset since the Oreo update and turned down brightness.
Thanks all, Marc
Anyone?

1) I haven't seen any Coral Blue skins but there are plenty of other skins out there that you can get for the Note8. DBrand, SlickWraps, ColorWare, etc. I've had a DBrand skin on mine since launch and it has held up very well.
2) I've come across some local stands @ malls around my area that have a limited skin selection and will install them for you but aside from that you'll have to look around. As a disclaimer, I live in the US.
3) Honestly if you don't like the glass and have issues with the TPU wet app protectors there really isn't any better alternatives from what I've seen. I'm currently using an invisishield HD Dry and it's held up okay. The edges are starting to lift but I don't use a case with it so that's probably why. I've tried at least 10 others from Amazon and each one has been a disappointment. I finally decided to order the Whitestone Dome protector as many people have recommended.
4)I doubt that resolution alone is tied into your battery life issues. I'm running the latest Oreo update, I believe one just came out with the May Security Patch, and have not experienced any impact on battery life. As a matter of fact, my battery life is even better than it was before. I'm typically getting 6-7 hours SOT with medium to light use and 5-6 SOT with heavy to medium. There should now be a built in feature that monitors what apps are using an excessive amount of battery and it will notify you. Try putting that app to always sleeping in the battery settings. I've done that with a few apps and there has been a noticeable improvement. You can also try using an app like ForceDoze or Greenify to enable Doze quicker and keep it on even when it detects motion, this has helped me increase my standby time by hours.
Hope this helps.

Decal girl does custom skins, might be able to get the specific color from them. I prefer dbrand, but did order a custom skin which came with a wallpaper for the phone as well just to check it out and it was solid.
If you put screen protectors on, then skins are easier. I live in Wyoming so no stores or places that do installation work close by. A good tip for both skins and plastic sp's is to use a hair dryer for the corners and edges , it really helps with the application process and keeping the edges down.
As for battery life, just check the forums , there are 1000's of posts with tips, or just charge more often.
