Hi there, i've got an xperia z with official firmware, kernel and recovery.
It's running on 4.1.2 now but it downloaded an update which is 4.2.2 I guess. When I try to install it it fails, is this because my bootloader is unlocked?
Do I have to relock it using Flashtool?(without ftf file)
Does relocking it erases data? (like when you unlock it)
Can I safely use the ota?
Thanks in advance broski's
Hi All Friends i hope all r u ok .... i want to update software but first i need too know when i update my cell software so i can ROOT it to easy way....
There is no easy way to root the 4.3 unless you have unlocked bootloader.
If you still have locked bootloader them you will need to downgrade to 4.1 root and install recovery then install purestock v2 then via flashtools flash the .266 kernel.

HI there i want to downgrade from 4.4.4 (TGP rom) to 4.1.2 (stock) to do that "how to" that unlock my phone..
The way i want to do it is by "puting" 4.1.2 oficial firmware via Odin... Is this the right thing to do?
Thanks!
due to the changes in the bootloader it's a little difficult...what bootloader you have? 4.3? the one with knox counter? but not with secure donwload? if yes you need 4.1.2 with 4.3 bootloader....search forum and you will find it.
Hey guys,
I am selling my Moto G (XT1068) and I want to restore it to stock Motorola firmware and relock the bootloader first. The thing is, I'm currently running the Titan Prime ROM based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
Can I simply downgrade to official 4.4.4 firmware and then relock the bootloader using a guide like this -- http://www.droidviews.com/restore-moto-g-2014-to-stock-and-lock-the-bootloader/
Or is it not that simply now that I've upgraded to Lollipop? I just don't want to brick the device.
Thanks in advance for the help.
u cant lock bootloader on kk .. flash the lollipop frimware and lock the bootloader..

Only got rid of root when I flashed stock rom ?
Yes, you flash full stock ROM. Bootloader will be locked and phone will be unrooted.
