I have a friend running Android 2.3.7 with a HTC Desire and he was running ubuntu on top of this with a lovely interface. Basically a dual boot with both running at same time. Ubuntu only uses 24mb ram apparently too. Any testers on this??? Thanks. Fraser

Won't work for now.... Since if i'm not mistaking the Galaxy Mini doesn't support the loop stuff in the kernel... Actually it's better to ask squadzone . But probably we will need another kernel.
It will work ..bit with give style cm7 or andro-id...I once installed it on my mini but it was slow and I uninstalled it..but it works

Yeah i will ask squaddy. I was aware of the fact that it needs kernel loop thing. Apparently my rom and kernel supports it anyway and it is supported on mini with correct kernel

Are raspberry pi's Gpu sources of any use to us?
Sent from my GT-S5830i
Raspberry Pi has the same gpu but has a different cpu.
And,where is raspberry pi gpu source?
Can't you use just all the sources from the stock ROM ?

Because the sources are available in the stock ROM's "docs" folder.

And if we access the docs folder ,we'll be able to get gpu sources???or is it that we cannot access the docs folder at all
since when stock oem rom got source?
oem never ever gave their rom source, or we'll be seeing sense rom running on samsung or touchwiz running on lg.
they only gave source for kernel not the rom.

This is just because Samsung releases too much versions of a single mobile as if it is a software
And is also reluctant to give out sources:crying:
Hi,
Yay I'm back. Will release TouchWiz ICS4.5 this weekend and TW5 JB in two weeks.
As above I have incorporated TonyP's LG CWM ROM with CM10 to make as a LG3 ROM with 4.1. I have deleted the CM10 parts from it later so its very stock like. Please a few testers try it and give me feedback as my 2X isn't available at the moment.

Awesome
I have downloaded it, and installed it. First off all I use 3.0 gig data partition and teamwin recovery, wich works flawlessly. It says in system info that it is still 4.0.4 but I don't know if that's actually true , the rom is smoother than the others, stefan and tonyp's and for the rest I don't really know what to say, sorry I'm a noob but, thanks and it works! Does Google Now and Chrome work. It would be fast as it has project butter.
Yeah I've realised I have wrong build prop in there.

Hi, i was thinking about CM 7.2 lately and i have a few questions. What we need to make this CM? We must need appropriate kernel and GPU drivers or many thing about i don't know? Why Galaxy Y have CM 7 but our Ace"i" didn't? As far as I know Galaxy Young and Ace"i" have the same CPUs and GPUs. The same or almost the same? If i'm wrong so i don't know all about Galaxy Y and Ace"i". And my last question . . . It's possible to make this CyanogenMod to our Ace"i" models? If yes . . . than how can we do this? . . . Welcome to discussion
WhiteXP is working on CM 7.2, and he has fixed almost all bugs (including WiFi), but that's for the Samsung Galaxy Y.
If it's ready/finished, we can port it.
You can also just install the zip (non-port), like I always do, lol.

Yes indeed !
Have you ever built from source? Then you can just build the ROM from sources, and inside one of all those sources there's something for the colors, there you can swap the colors/fix the swapped colors.
That should work (better) (instead of replacing the libSurfaceFlinger with the one from the stock ROM ).

Source? You mean source of CM 7.2?
If I'm not wrong, first we need a kernel compatible with CM7. Then we have to modify the device tree to fix colors. And last, we build using this tree and fix all the bugs '-'

I think we should build it from sources because if we port it we will have problems with pngs which are small and can't be resized.
No CM source for your phone.
For a working CM we need te full source of the chipset.
