Hi,
Suddenly my Vario died. I was not upgrading anything at all. I was just using it or maybe I was charging it during this time. Now I can't turn it on and when I connect the USB cable with power nothing happens. Not even the charging LED lights up.
Any ideas?
Did your battery completely die? Where you installing/and or modifying anything on the device? We needs some more info brother!

Battery: maybe it did died, as I have not been using the phone for a while (couple of months).
No, I didn't do even any software installation. Just normal usage. I don't remember if I was charging it while it died or not.
Well, sounds to me like your battery may just be dead, not regular dead mind you, but drained. Try this first, connect your Wizard to either the original wall charger that came with it, and let it charge for a while, or find another miniUSB charger(like from another phone or bluetooth headset or the like) with AT LEAST 1A of OUTPUT. Anything less will not be able to charge the battery. Try that first, then let me know what happens!

I'm glad you found a solution.
My first inclination was to respond, "Yeah, and my wife says she has no idea how she got syphilis, either," but comedy doesn't fix broken phones...
BUT MAKES LAUGH SOMETIMEs
Hope you can get a new charger to get elecroshocks everytime to your wizard...
And Myrddin hope you can get some condoms
hey,
I have an xperia black on the latest official rom. r3a (something)
just a few hours ago the phone was automatically switched off,
it was fully charged and it just went blank.
i tried switching it back on but no luck.
just one time it was powered on and was stuck at the XPERIA screen for 3-4 minutes and then again went blank.
when i connect to pc , my pc says usb device not recognized and keeps detecting my device.
now i have connected the phone to the wall and the red power led blinks after 20 seconds. when i press the power button the side leds dont blink or respond, just the top one blinks after 20 sec. the battery is cold.
i tried reinserting the battery alot of times and then put it back to chg for 30 mins, still no luck.
i searched alot but didnt find a solution. please help
hehe it is an expensive buy........
charge the battery using wall charger for the whole day and then turn it on - your battery must have died compleatly somehow and this happens to loads of people if the charge gets too low

No I haven't. But if this happened to me, I would be back at the place where I bought it in no time!
See if you can use someone else's battery to see if the X1 still works with that. This sounds like a seriously dead battery which needs to be replaced.
Good luck!
Calm down. Most people visit the forume once a day or less. You can't expect them to answer right away.
Your problem afaik is that the phone can't detect the battery. Read this and tell us if it helped you.

maybe it is a case of dead battery....
my question is , can the battery be dead instantly, because it was fully chged and suddenly it was all blank.?

I don't think that is possible. It probably is a hardware fault in the phone itself. Maybe a connector or something burned itself out. Unfortunatelly that can be fixed only by professionals.
My advice is to take the battery out for a couple of hours, then put it back and let it charge. If there is no response after the charging go to a repair shop .
Keep us informed on how it goes .
well i went to the company today, the one who deals with the warranty and they refused to take the phone under warranty saying that the phone looks drop dead, ( i have quite a few of them scrathes on the back)
i dont know how he asumed that it has been dropped, anyhow i was disappointed and took it to a local repair shop and they checked it with another battery and still no luck so they said they will have to flash the phone and it will be ok.
BUT!!!
when i came home i just blew on the battery terminal on the phone and inserted the battery and the phone switched on YESSSS!!!, but after some time it was halt again and was switched off, now sometimes it comes on and sometimes it doesnt, when ever i blow on the terminals it comes on otherwise it wont.
can it be the case of moisture inside the phone?
because the day it faulted, that day i was sweating and i had the phone in may pocket.
if yes please whats the solution.?
thanks in advance
ps
the phone is also very slow to boot
the screen is also flicking a little
the red light under the power button is telling u that the battery has run out. if u get it with a fully charged battery it either means the battery is dead (in the sense that if will never charge or hold its charge etc) or the handset is buggered. best bet is to phone SE and get the phone fixed or battery replace (u will probably have to send the phone and battery to repair but SE might have a way to test if its the battery or phone).
also there may be a prob with the connection from the handset to the battery.
I've looked all over. And I've tried everything.
This is what happened to my Xperia. it was 29% before I went to bed. When I woke up the next day, it was completely dead. No lights, no anything. I've tried charging it for 24 hours, I've tried charging the battery through an external charger, I've waited 2 days to power it on again. I've also tried that hard reset trick on one thread here. No go. I'm frustrated. Does anyone know any way this could be fixed and why did this happen?
13 views and no reply... I'm gonna shamelessly beg now.. anyone?
since you have tried hard reset, and it doesnt work
i prefer theres something wrong with your battery

Is it possible for the battery to just die like that without any warning? My battery was okay before this problem. I've tried it with an external charger and it charges.
It could be the charging circuit itself.
I recall a similar thing happening to me on another HTC phone, sorry I can't recall the details (but it was beyond my skills to repair it, and it was an old phone by then). A friendly technical centre could help you with that diagnosis.
At least you can get a desktop charger that will charge the battery up without it having to be inside the phone , if that is the case.

I've tried charging without the phone. External charger or desktop charger. Doesn't work either.
Sounds weird, but did you try to hold down the power button for a few seconds to let x1 on? Sometimes I have that too when the battery goes empty and the phone goes off. It doesnt open immediately when I press the button, but have to hold down the power button for a few seconds and than release. Try that for about 5 times. If noting happens, than its not the same problem that I have.

Hi guys,
I'm having exactly the same issue as "Jaennil". My battery was at 67% when I went to bed but today morning its dead. I dont know how it happend. Usually I get around 2-3 days of battery backup(on standby). Now my xperia is not switching on. Can anyone suggest some solution for our problem...I am now charging the battery using wall charger, but i dont see any battery charging notifications.
Please help guys,
Thanks in advance.

I plug it in the charger and the light blinks.. So I know it works.
And also the buttons on the phone vibrate..
This happened before. And I started pressing all the buttons on my phone.. and it turned back on luckily.
But now this time it wont turn back on..
Is there any method that can help me fix this.
Thank you
sorry for the bump.. But can anyone help me please? I slept with it in my pocket and I woke up.. And this is what happened..
Havent got to use my phone all day.
Orange light comes on and everything. Its just I cant get the screen to turn on..
I am not sure if it will work but try taking your battery out for 5-10 minutes and see if it comes back on.

EDIT: I have stopped looking for these threads. The more I look, the more I find. If the above threads don't convince you that there is a serious issue with the vivid, then adding more of the same problem will no longer help.
I have added this thread to a growing list of similar threads. Please read the other threads and see if your issues seem familiar.
From what I understand... Don't let your battery run out on this phone. Some Vivids kill batteries.
Solution? None yet.
1. Buy a new battery once a couple of months-ish, until someone figures out why some Vivids are eating batteries. YMMV
*OR*
2. You might invest in a external charger and see if that can bring the "Vivid munched" battery back to life. YMMV
I vote to thread merge the above threads if this proves to be the issue.
Almost the same problem
I have almost the same problem, except it does NOT flash the orange charge light, at all. The buttons don't vibrate, at all, the screen stays black, it doesn't turn on or anything. It doesn't even connect to the computer when I plug in a USB cord, that I know works. I don't believe it's bricked because I have done nothing to brick it. One day, I was using Xbox smartglasses, I finished and locked the phone back, a bit later I tried to unlock it but it wouldn't unlock, turn on or anything. I'm fairly certain is wasn't dead because I had just charged it the night before and had not had it turned on, and the battery was over 95%. Does anyone know anything that might help? :/
Hello,
Well, My XT1069 just died last night, 01/22/2016, it's simply dead. no display, no charging, no led blink, nothing.
I was watching stream on twitch.tv, And then he fell asleep, the phone continued to operate the rest of the night and discharged to zero percent.
It is known that state when the battery dies, and is at zero percent, unable to load. this has happened to me 2 or 3 times .. and after some minutes charging, and some secs holding power button, it came back to life..
but this time does not happen anything.
believe me, I have researched a lot in various forums, I've tried holding the power button, voldown, hold on for 18sec, 2min and 5min up, nothing works.
I saw on some pages to leave the device in the charger for 24 hours could perhaps resurrects it. it is in the charger since 01/23/2016 6 am, with a few breaks when I retire and try something new. only a matter of minutes
in short: my phone died, no sign of life.
I would please ask if anyone here had this critical case like mine, and also ask if anyone has any tips I can test to try to bring my cell phone back to life. Thank you very much in advance.
I apologize for the English, I am Brazilian. most of it is google translator
Anyone?
Cell still on charger, but probably nothing is going to happen :/
1)Try flashing twrp after that wipe your phone through twrp and then repair system files and reboot.
This will only work if your battery's not dead.
2) about installing twrp search on xda for your device download it , connect the datacable with your computer and then press power+volume up go in download mode flash the recovery through odin
Or if you dont have root try this

As far as i'm concerned it needs a spark(i dont know the exact word for it). it happens when the battery goes completely into discharged state with no spark left in it. It kind of means when your battery is left with no electrons to pass on the current to the battery. so go reach some mobile repairing shop and as them to spark your battery. they have some kind of rod or something with with they will spark the battery and then charge it with a high output. then see if it works or not. if not then your battery is probably dead and you need it to be replaced. its easier for usual phones. but since your's a MOTO G. it has a un-removable back cover. so it'll cost you a bit. hope it helps. :victory:
do thank if it worked out for you.

Thank you very much for the answer.
I've seen elsewhere people talking about that this spark, and in this case, some talked about trying to use a charger Apple Ipad 2.1 Amps, My original motoG charger is only 0.85 amps, so I think maybe an Apple is a good attempt to bring him back .. However, I do not know anyone who has one
At this time, I will have to wait until day 02/11/2016 until I can go into a technical assistance ..
Anyway, enormously grateful to you for the answer

Happy to help. ???? it does the same thing. The apple 2.1 amps may get your battery that spark. But since that spark thing gives your battery a charge of over 2.5 amps i guess. But the charger may help you as well.
And good luck with the battery. :fingers-crossed:
