Hi, on my cell (SGS I9000, CM 10.1-20130304 experimental) I have problems with setting up ringtones. I made some mp3 like default ringtone and after rebooting my phone is ringtone some system ringtone. So, I set up my mp3 as default ringtone again and after rebooting is ringtone again some system sound (in setting I see unknown ringtone). Can somebody help me? Is problem in my rom? Or is some application, that can help me?

Hi,
I work at a really loud place and i never hear my phone ring. Is there anyway i can make the ring tones louder. I have them set to the loudest in the settings. I am running the att rom. Thanks

If you already have set the ringtone volume at the loudes (note that this is a separate setting from the system notification volume!), you can try to edit the sound file itself.
Install the freeware Audacity ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ) on your PC, open your ringtone mp3 file and do an "amplify". To make sure that the sound isn't clipped, you can do a "normalize" instead with a maximum amplitude of 0 dB.
Export as mp3, transfer back to your telephone and use that as your new ringtone!
there should be a registry edit to do this, but making it too loud will damage the speakers.

Where is this setting. I know it should be easy to fined but I cant find it.
Thanks
Anyone else think that the lowest volume setting is really loud for ringtones? I was using a song ringtone that I transferred over from my EVO4G and it's really really loud for the lowest setting.
On another topic, I then sent it to my computer to try to edit it using a sound editor, put it back on the phone in a Ringtones folder like before, and now it doesn't automatically appear in the list. I hit the + button at the top, select the track, and then get an error that HTC sound set has forced closed and do I want to send a report to HTC. Now every time I try to even change the ringtone, it force closes. The only solution is to change the name of the Ringtones folder.... any ideas as to wtf is going on?
Thanks
hmmmm
Did you maybe change the format of the song when you edited it? Like from MP3 to whatever else, I did that once, I would look at that.
Mine is loud too, but I like that cuz i'm almost 60 lol

I am having the same problem when I get my phone yesterday. It happened after I try to play some music in ES Player ( i think maybe some 3rd party music player may cause the problem ).
Solution for me:
- Install Ringtone Maker ( or other 3rd party apps that can set the ringtone)
- Set the ringtone from there
- The ringtone that I set using the 3rd party apps doesn't take effect, but it fix the "sound set has stopped unexpectedly" and I can now set my ringtone & alarm using the system default
Hope this works for you

I worked with HTC Support last night to further troubleshoot this issue. Here is what I learned:
1) The correct locations for storing custom ringtones and notifications are:
/sdcard/Ringtones
/sdcard/Notifications
2) You must copy the files to this location from your computer via USB. The problem I was encountering was caused by the fact that I was using ES File Explorer to download my MP3 and OGG files from a network share to my phone. While all other applications were able to see and play these files without any trouble, the built-in ringtone/notification chooser will not see files copied onto the device in that way.
And it works

Hello this is my first post. i looked for around an hour and could find anything about my problem.
last night i flashed
BAKED galaxysmtd blackbean-8 and
GappsInverted 20130308
on my samsung galaxy sI9000 everything seems to work fine but a slight problem i encounter there is no app for listening music, and also there is
no sounds for ringtones or notifications at all.
could you please help me with this problem??
thank you in advance
and i apologize for my bad English.
Create 2 folders in internal sd card:
Ringtones
Notifications
Then in each folder put your desired sounds to be used as ringtone or notification. After reboot they will be recognized by the system and can be selected.
Fort the music player, there are many in Play Store.

Hi guys,
I am running FXP 343 in ART.
I have installed Viper4Android and notice no difference in increase in volume.
I am pretty sure that the music and ringtones are not as loud as Stock.
Can you guys help me with the settings that you use for louder ringtones, music, notification tones, etc.
Thanks in advance!
System?
Everyone has different settings depending on their personal taste. As for you noticing no change in sound, I would suggest converting viper into a system app. Also check that you have selected viper as the default in sound settings.
