So I've been playing around with the video camera and it doesn't record sound. I have record with audio turned on in the camera options =/
Any ideas?
Okay the sound plays on the phone...but not on my PC wierd...that means I'm missing a codec somewhere =/
Im also having the same problem....im using a vlc player on my pc and getting no sound
Hi. This is probably because bluetooth headset was paired. When there's a bluetooth headset paired to the HTC One, during video recording, no sound is recorded.
Is a way to make stereo sound for video recording?
how would you record stereo with only 1 mic?

))) i don't know )... the sound is so low..
It actually could be possible, by using a second mic on the 3.5 mil port. The thing would be to allow it to record with the 2 mics, since it is very likely that the external mic would cancel out the internal one.
So...
I just tried some of those Stereo test videos on Youtube... and the LEFT sound and RIGHT sound come out of both speakers !?
so... i thought that ALL media would play in stereo on this phone
is it a setting i missed somewhere ?
EDIT:
seems that some YT vids are mono.. tried an HD version, which did play in stereo
I wouldn't be surprised if most YouTube video had mono audio tracks embedded and very likely low bit rate (low quality) mp3.
Post a link if you find high quality / stereo audio
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Hello everyone. I have a problem with the audio when recording video. When playing back a video the audio is always distorted, as if the video was shot outside in high winds. I am running ARHD 12.0 with firmware 2.24.401.1.
Using the Voice Recorder app, the audio is recorded just fine.
Check this clip I just recorder to hear the audio:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2rt5fevc9jinqtr/2013-07-08%2018.07.08.mp4
This was shot indoors apparently. Even when I speak, there is no voice recorded. Only this distortion.
Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone with a HTC One M7 with HDR mic could record loud audio with the voice recording app, or an app like "Smart Voice Recorder" which allows you to select the sample rate at which to record (it has an option for 44.1Khz CD quality on it), and see if the recording is distorted at all?
I'm asking because Nokia's phones which have a HAAC mic utilise the HDR mic when recording video, but when recording audio only, loud sounds are distorted which means it doesn't use the high quality HDR/HAAC mic, and apparently no one'd written a windows phone app that uses the HDR/HAAC mic when I asked last year - can someone confirm things are different on Android?
Of course running a custom ROM may mean the HDR mic isn't supported in the first place (referring to this thread).
Would be great if someone could experiment and find out what's what!
