My sister bought a cherry mobile orbit. Her charging time was two hours.. The battery voltage is 4200 at 100% if unplugged and
4300 if plug. Why is my x8/w8 only reaches 4170 and upon unplugged 4132???

Me too.My X8 charged only about 30mins and it reached 100% from 40%.But when my X8 is in android 2.1 ,it charged about 1.5hrs from 40% to 100%.
Me too
can someone confirm their battery voltage @ 100% and the charging time?
I need only 20 mins from 20% to 98% since using custom froyo (almost any froyo in xda.)
btw what apps you're using to see the voltage?
I am dialling *#*#4636#*#*

wow i need 1.5 hrs
Its all depends on your battery condition and from which % you start your charging...but for me it never reach 4200 at full...
i have the same problem why is that ?
But how many hours?

Its common thing actually. If battery charged for 100% and still connected to charger, it won't receive any current from charger. Which means battery starts discharging even when you connected to charger once 100% is reached. A short work around is there, just unplug the charger before 100%. I jus tested with 80-85% percentage, and found my battery level doesn't decreases for next two hours.
Edit:
Simple Guidelines for Charging Lithium-based Batteries
A portable device should be turned off while charging. This allows the battery to reach the threshold voltage unhindered and reflects the correct saturation current responsible to terminate the charge. A parasitic load confuses the charger.
Charge at a moderate temperature. Do not charge below freezing.
Lithium-ion does not need to be fully charged; a partial charge is better.
Chargers use different methods for “ready” indication. The light signal may not always indicate a full charge.
Discontinue using charger and/or battery if the battery gets excessively warm.
Before prolonged storage, apply some charge to bring the pack to about half charge.
Over-discharged batteries can be “boosted” to life again. Discard pack if the voltage does not rise to a normal level within a minute while on boost.
No warranty for all tips!

How much time i need to charge the xperia z for the first time ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
So far, I charged mine or about 45 mins before turning it on using the wall charger, then let that drain to nothing, then did a USB charge which took a while (around 5 hours before the fully charged light came on) and now the battery seems pretty good and is getting better. Apparently it has a big impact on how you charge it, fast vs slow, for the first few times, so do some reading around if you havent already : )

Hey,i have a weird issue,if that, with my battery..Just wanted to know whether this is good battery life or is my battery going bonkers?
Wifi on 1hr
Screen on 30+ min
Battery drainage 0% ?!

It's probably just a case where the application you're using and the battery aren't calibrated.

Reboot phone. Maybe that will work.
And please then caliberate battery
Calibrate batery.. <facepalm> It is an android myth and it isnt working! You can only discharge your phone to 0% (when it off) and recharge to 100%. Then you have full anergy, and maximum battery life.

My butterfly s has been fantastic in almost every aspects..
But i ve found a weird problem regarding the battery..
It can normally last for a whole day, which is really pleasing me. But if i drain it to below 15%, it drains much faster. What i mean is it can be 10% after 2min and 1% after another 2min...
Is it a software problem or a hardware one
Thanks in advance!
Edit: one thing i have missed, when i connect it to a charger, it jumps to 10% after seconds...

It's normal for Li-Pol batteries - same issue with my 901s phone. Also don't use the phone with less than 20% battery unless you really need to, as that's the critical point for the battery and if you go below that level, it shortens battery life and can degrade the battery capacity.
