Hi there,
I'm looking at buying an Xperia Z but i've got a quick question about the lockscreen. On the model i tried in the shop you couldn't pull down the notification shade on the lockscreen (this was with swipe to unlocked enabled, no extra password or pattern) To anyone with a Z, is there a setting that turns this on, or perhaps the shop model was on earlier firmware? I really like being able to access my notifications without unlocking the phone and i thought they made this standard since Jelly Bean.
Thanks
Yes you can

Thanks mate, shop model must have been an earlier build.
I noticed, that this behaviour is happening when your phone is without SIM card.
Hi everyone ! Two days ago I received my s3 mini and I updated it to 4.1.2 ( normally it came with 4.1.1 ). After that update the phone became very slow.. The messaging and the lists ( all kinds ) are full of lag.. I rooted the phone yesterday and I deodexed the rom ( I'm stock AMB3 ) and now I see a little improvement in speed but not enough.. I did a wipe data after updating but it didn't make things better..can someone help me ?

Hi, on my i8190n i installed an app called "Autostarts" (the app has a little racecar), which speeded up things up a bit.
But aye, it still doesnt start up as fast as id like. Everything else seems ok though (im new to Android).
All the best.
I think I'll just remain with the sms app slow like that..but the rest of apps are working very good after deodexing autostarts is good enough but it doesn't resolve a lot of things..thanks anyway.

Hi
Just a small question: I am missing the glove mode option in settings any way to enable it on cyanogenmod?

No.
Cm based ROM don't work that way.

It should be possible but also need a lot of work. So we can just hope that someday a good developer wakes up with the great idea to port it :cyclops:
Btw the mod exist for the Galaxy S4 ! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45023111&postcount=1676 and https://github.com/chenxiaolong/hudson/tree/master/roms/cm-10.2/high-touch-sensitivity
Hey guys,
I read, that you can force auto rotation in launcher by editing the build.prop.
My question is: what do I have to add and where?
Thx
(I'm on eXistenZ Rom)

Take the Xperia launcher mod ra3l or something like this was his name here from xda. It's look like the normal launcher but it work on all android 4.1 and up.

Thx I will try it
But I think it should be possible without installing apps? (I don't like bloatware )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368506 this on and he is not a ram eater then the original on.

I think this is what your looking for, not sure if it works with sony home though.
launcher.force_enable_rotation=true
Add it to the bottom of your build.prop and find out.
By the way... i found this by typing in "auto rotate launcher build.prop" into google.
Thx for your reply
Sir, be sure I used Google, too, and I found that as well. But it didn't work for me, it seems to be a kinda Google launcher solution. I'm just wondering if there is a solution for xperia as well...

I think for the sony launcher the xml files need to be edited in the apk.
I used to enable lockscreen rotation all the time in my old phone and that needed a value changing in the framework.apk

well if by build.prop it cannot be done, if i may suggest using App Setting found in xposed installer. with that app u can specifiy which app will have forced rotation. mind u that u need to be rooted to use it.

Yeah I know about that apps... But these apps will always work in the background, eating my ram and battery
I'm searching for an option without apps
But thanks anyway

well you could try the various screen rotation app available in playstore if u want. before I use app settings I was using one of those.
EDIT : oops sorry didnt read above post that its eating RAM. have u restart ur phone after module installation? just curious cause I didnt get that problem ur having now
Yeah I did. Don't know, maybe it's a problem with the Existenz Rom? Cause my home app may be kind of modified.

I'm stuck on deciding what to do next.
I'm having issues playing Injustice on my SP on the stock Rom. It randomly pauses or closes fully back to home while playing. I have 3 options I think; Do I tweak this Rom with supercharger script or something. Or do I install a custom Rom like eXistenZ and hope that performs better. Or do I just wait for official 4.3 update and then hope memory management is better?
What would you guys suggest? I'm still new to my Xperia SP.
Sent from my C5303 using xda app-developers app
If I were you, I would wait for the android 4.3 and If the ram management sucks too I would go for cyanogenmod.
Go to CM 11, the best choice you have!
The thing that's putting me off CM is the loss of Sony stuff like stamina mode and im guessing no walkman and gallery light effects.
I like all the little gimmicks haha

thats the only reason i got a launcher instead
I think I'm going to try a script to maybe sort out memory management, and then when 4.3 comes, I'll remove the tweaks, relock bootloader and then install the new official update. When that will come is another story
Gonna keep watching the thread in general about the update

I use miui and use all media apps from Sony with no bugs. Xda thanks
