you are correct with your assumption!
HTC__001 is HTC-WWE : World Wide English and an official HTC CID
Carriers allways have their name included in some way.. for example o2 is O2___102 in Germany or O2___001 in the UK.

Thought that, been well over a year I did any thing with checking cids.

well i gonna ask you this coz for me is rarely this hceck sum on a g4 wizard locked
i use the wizard service tool and for read my cid status so i watch this :
starting cid procedure....
calculating cid block sum....
calculated cid sum:0f2fab12
key index:91- bloack index:153
cidkey:modulesn
cidimei:1dbb8010f2ac99f
cid:wizbst32
phone cid locked!!!
so my question is what a hell is that cid only a heard about qtek voda o2 oragne cid termination but that any help ??
ps maybe could help this info to the g4 unlocker proget and the data crashes projet

I'm not sure i understand what is your doubt Is it because of this "wizbst32"? It's usually associated with the name of the provider.
And your CID block has key index 91 which isn't yet in the "data crashes" project list. Please make a CID dump (use "Read ROM" option) and send it to me or post in the thread. Thanks

This is the HTC SHIP ROM that comes on any device originally from UK.
I have a SIM FREE UNBRANDED with the same rom. My friend has a ORANGE branded with the same rom. I dont know why Orange dont customize their phones but its all kool

This is not same rom as for factory unlocked device. If you check signature of nbh file it shows that CID is designated for ORANG001, while my device is factory unlocked and my CID is HTC__001
does this have voice command, business card scanner?
i have this ROM as well, so what do i have to do next?? im on T mobile btw.

Yeah, but I bet that it cannot be used for restoration WWE devices not coming from Orange.

Sorry but I don't have that dump and also did not add it to wiki so I am not sure were it came from.

This is just a guess, but:
Since these are executable files start one of those and when a window pops up with an installation wizard or something similar, just go to start->run and type %tmp%
There you can search for a folder with a zip file meeting your criteria...

Can I make the Indian HTC ONE 802D to Stock Google Edition HTC ONE by changing the modelid and CID of 802d to google modelid and cid?
Or can I change the HTC ONE 802d model id and CID to single sim indian MODEL ID PN0711000 and CID HTC__038 (Indian version) to get and access a huge repository of hacks and mods of the Single sim HTC ONE..
Changed can be made if you are S-off but you will brick the phone. A better way is to port that rom or mod to your rom. Here is alot of threads about porting rom's.
