Plugged what in. To What? Using which software?
If your taking about music and are using sync manager there is a plus and phone icon when you click one of the tracks. If you want more than one hold shift and click on all tracks.

For some reason I can now do it. It took me taking the cable out a few times and putting it back in. It recognised it but just ignored it and didn't allow me to send anything.

It sounds like the USB socket on your Touchpad is faulty, the only way around this without getting it repaired is to use/buy a touchstone charger.

Got chrome cast and I'm loving it. When I'm not using it the white light just stays on. Is there a way to turn it off other than unplugging it? Does this thing shut off after a certain amount of time of not being in use like a sleep mode of some sort. Are you guys just leaving it plugged in the entire time?

Yes I just leave it plugged in. It won't turn off if you leave it plugged in. You always want it on otherwise you wouldn't be able to communicate with it at any time and have it turn on your TV. I don't see any harm in just leaving it on all the time.

I don't have the ability to turn on the TV since my TV is about 6 years old. I am just afraid of it burning out or breaking if I leave it on 24/7. Just wasn't sure what everyone else was doing. Wish it went to some sort of low power sleep mode or something once it noticed that it wasn't using that tv's input.

I've just been leaving it plugged in myself and from what I can tell it only gets hot while actually streaming stuff so as long as it's on the Ready To Cast screen you should be fine...
I guess I'll take everyone's word for it since I've only used it for the last 4 hours. What an awesome affordable product.

leaving it in and on at all times is fine. It doesnt actually work until you send it commands so you wont be overworking it by just letting it stay on. As for the turning on the tv, its a matter of giving the thing power. Your tv may not give it power through the usb port *assuming its where you power it from*. If you power it through a outlet it should turn on when you send a command and the tv is off.

I am getting the power from an outlet since my TV doesn't have a usb port. I'll try it tonight. Should I look out for a specific setting that needs to be enabled for this feature?

Long story short my girlfriends phone screen won't light up at all anymore so she got a replacement phone through the insurance. We are trying to get the pictures that are saved to the phone itself off of the phone but when we connect it to the computer it won't let us do anything because we can't unlock the phone. Are there any programs we can download to unlock the phone or are we out of luck on those photos?

Good day everyone,
Looking for a little assistance here. I have the ONE (m7ul) running the official CM nightlies last flash i did was Saturday October 19.
Everything was fine and i was charging the device and using winamp for some tunes. The device shut off on it's own and will not power on anymore. The led light will not even come on when charging on the wall charger or via usb.
I did talk to HTC and they had me hold the power button down while holding the volume rocker down for 3 complete minutes to no avail. which makes me think it is a hardware issue so sending it in for repair is most likely what will happen but does anyone know if it being rooted and running CM will matter? being that it is a hardware issue and not software..
any help would be appreciated.

What do you see when you connect it using usb?
Let it charge for a while and wait for the led to maybe turn on

Ya i tried that as well, it was on the wall charger for over 15 hours last night and still no led light. I did not leave it plugged into the usb for very long though, just to test it.
Do you think leaving it on usb for awhile might make a difference?
Thanks for your response too.

Ya i figured so, and HTC said it would be wiped and original software would be installed so here is to hoping im not out a bunch of $$$!
Thanks for your time, i do appreciate it.
I have an HTC One a friend brought from Craigslist.
This is the situation.
The phone is S-OFF. It is on Hboot 1.56. It has super CID. It have TWRP 2.6.3.4. There is no OS installed. There is no backup on the SD card.
This is what i have already tried: I tried to sideload a rom but the issue is that fastboot is not working. I am on a Windows 8.1 X64 laptop. I have tried even from a Windows 7 laptop but still no luck. I just cannot get the phone to connect to a PC.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

That's odd then.. it's a bit beyond me then. I would try reinstalling HTC drivers and see if that works and if not, use a Linux live CD and see if you can get it recognized there. Anything beyond that I'm out of ideas, hope you can get it working.

this cable should be fine.
Maybe the usb port on the phone is damaged. normally you should see something in device manager when you connect the phone, even if the driver arent installed.
Am also thinking on the same lines... It charges fine though.. Even in recovery mode or powered off, it charges.. That baffles me...
