I know leaks are silly most of the time, but has anyone seen the N5 leaks?
The specs are kinda sweet. 2.3GHz quadcore, 1080p, 5.2 in, 3GB RAM and such.
Probably still no microSD. They would sell a lot more N4 with microSD.
Most of them I don't want or need. But as the N4 is not that expensive, I might trade up. How about you guys?

i think these rumours are just partially true. i dont think google will release a phone with 5.2" for now, im not even sure it will be 5". just look at the htc one, 4.7" and full hd, i think that would be perfect.
3gb ram... sounds weird. i think theyre gonna stick with 2 gigs. never seen my n4 run above 1.2 in usage.
2.3ghz cpu = snapdragon 800. might be true, although they might go with tegra4. either way, its gonna pack a lot of power.
no microsd slot is reasonable, just give me the opportunity to have at least 32 gigs of storage, and im gonna be fine.
the biggest hit with the n5 will be key lime pie imo. the hardware is waay ahead of the software if we're talking about android.
we need sw optimizations, and for the love of god, do something with the battery! the most annoying thing of any smartphone is that it must be charged every day if used normally.
im really interested in motos x phone, it should - like moto usually does - deliver decent battery life with good hardware and if the rumours are true, it will have vanilla android = its a win for me.

Nope it's not the next nexus. 3gb ram? There wasn't even 2gb ram on high end phones until last month.

U.S. versions of the SGS3 have 2GB RAM. They were released in what, June or July of 2012?
2.5Gb or 4Gb RAM is more likely than 3 and hopefully DDR3.
I thought the rumor for KLP and allegedly up the newer Linux kernels use way less RAM then ICS/JB...why the need for more than 2gb then?

I was thinking the same thing. A mobile device using even 2GB RAM is a bit ridiculous. Jit compiling and Java in general are such resource hogs. Oh well.

The main issue I see is that you have a ton of basement coders with no real training or experience releasing apps onto the Play Store loaded with inefficient and just poor code. That, I think, will be the main issue causing the "need" for more resources.
Shall we get into why quad and octa core CPU's in a phone are ridiculous with multi threading being in the state it's in or leave it alone?

Why? Because by the time this new device (Which may, or may not be a Nexus) comes out you'll have been using an awesome tablet for six months that will still have a better screen, processor, and more expensive parts?
I doubt it will.
Google/Android hates SD card slots. They're sloppy and cause problems.
True DAT fellas. I said might.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Even if this were available today, I'd still gladly pay an extra $100 to get a quad core processor and any perks we have in addition.
Although $99 isn't too far fetched for a basic unit. Comments complain about a single core but even the newer dual core snap dragons are hella fast. Plus a single core is plenty for what most people use these for anyway. Although I recommend more just for future purposes, but a starter unit for kids and book readers makes sense.

Many cheap tablets have SD card slots. Possibly even this one:
"The cheapest Android tablet I've ever seen costs $20, with a $2 per month unlimited data plan, and I'm holding it right now."
I'd give up the SD card slot for greater reliability. That's why I bought a Nexus 7.
I got a nexus 7 for Christmas and don't even use it because of my nexus 4. I mean sure it has a bigger screen but it's slower and with the latest Paranoid Android update the screen on my nexus 4 is better as well!
I have a top of the line laptop and top of the line smartphone. Where does a dated tablet belong in this scenario? Maybe I could use it to watch Dragon Ball Z at the gym. Or load it up with porn and use it as a mobile fap station.

dont think theres anything right now the adreno 320 can't handle. i mean come on, the unreal engine demo (epic citadel) ran on 60 fps on the N4. so it doesn't really make any difference. and the screen on the nexus 4 is significantly better than on the nexus 7.

But a lot of games are optimized for tegra and have added effects and graphics. I don't think he meant that it can't handle it, the nexus 4 is way more powerful. But games look better on the nexus 7.

Happens in every forum. Everybody loves the phone they have and will defend it ruthlessly. When another, newer phone comes out people bash it. Just how it is. The sgs4 is a nice phone. Its not a let down or disappointment. Its just not a nexus. Nexus gets first updates and amazing development. That's what matters to me the most.

After the nightmare of dealing with Samsung and ODIN I vowed NEVER to own a Samsung Phone again. SGS4 looks like more of the same as the SGS3 and as someone called it the SGS3s That is exactly Samsung's strategy. They are copying Apple even more in this regard. They will keep the SGS3 going for another year as the more "Affordable" SGS like they were doing with the SGS2 recently. Notice all the Deep discounts for the SGS3 lately? I can't wait to get my self all on the Nexus Line (as well as my Wife). Tired of all these bad Custom UIs and Carrier Hostage crises.

OK so looks like LG and Google are at it again. I don't even care at this point, either a Moto nexus for probably more money or LG at same price point. Most likely it is LG at this point and we lose the snap 800 in g2 but get the rest.

This is just a made up report based on zero facts. Just like the Moto Nexus rumor. Until there is some real insider information, I wouldn't pay any attention to these rumors.
The thing about a "rumor" is anyone can say whatever they want and claim no responsibility if they are wrong. Being there are about 5 different "next" nexus rumors in this forum, most of these are just brain children of their authors.
Personally, I take everything with a spoonful of salt until Google announces the device.

The G2 is to big
I like how much space is covered by the screen, but the overall size of the phone is to huge in my opinion. Maybe better a 5" screen?
Everything else sounds great for the same price of the N4. But 32GB would be nice.
Buttons on the side are a must. Those back Button are strange.

IMO Moto X design and size is great, but unfortunately everything else is dissapointment. I would like to see next Nexus will have similar design to Moto X, but better CPU (Snapdragon 600 or 800), and better body materials (Kevlar instead on Moto X's plastic).

I haven't used a Samsung device in over a year (S2). I've been using the HTC One since last April. A great phone, I've been satisfied with it now than any other so far. However I'm looking for a change now, and the S5 looks perfect. I am super excited to get it!
My biggest gripes with the One was the non-removable battery firstly, and lack of water/dust proofing. Everything else about it is awesome. I'm glad the S5 can take care of those issues for me.
The removable battery is the ONLY thing that would make me consider S5 over the rest. But honestly, if you're on an S4 already, I see absolutely no reason to upgrade.
I've owned the S1, S2, S3, and S4, and each iteration brought big enough leaps that warranted a year over year upgrade (better GPS, bigger screen + higher resolution, significantly faster, etc). Unless you're on a Galaxy device older than an S4, there really is nothing new here.

Everybody is expecting miracles but let's remember one fact: iPhone 4,4s,5,5s all use the same design. And we are talking about 4 years of development, right? I think Samsung has offered a step forward with S5 from 3 points of view: best processor at the time, ip67, and ( o dp really hope) the best camera in a smarphone.
