Hi
is it normal I'm not getting a battery full notification after it reaches 100% charging? normally with Samsung I used to get this kind of notification and to unplug the charger, in my Xperia Z I'm not!!
You don't need to unplug your charger right away - therefore there's no notification. Unplug when you want. ( but please consider doing it after 100% to save electricity )

I have gotten myself a new battery but the battery is only 52% and the LED light is not Red meaning it has finished charging. How do I calibrate my new battery?
Update:
As I am charging, I noticed that the percentage keeps going down. From 64% to 53% now. What's wrong?

just because your led is not red doesn't mean it's finished charging. it's finished charging when the led is green. (well, it's green when it gets to 90% charged, but you get my point)
The led is red and from the notification, it shows as charging, but my battery life is depleting, asking me now to connect to charger. You get what I mean?

To recalibrate I do:
1.Wipe batt stats
2.Let new batt die out fully
3.Recharge till 100% by looking @ lock screen or spare parts
*I've only used wipe batt when using diff rom.
As in the previous battery works fine, I can charge with it. But this new battery doesnt seem to charge although it says in the notification that it is charging...
Same issue not solution

Yes, and led will turn from orange to green.

Sony somehow turns the led green when it reaches 90%. Kind of the same as what I've read not to stress the battery by charging/discharging it fully as it will decrease battery lifespan.
I suggest to unplug it once you see the led turn green as the difference in battery life is minimal whether it's charged at 100% or 90%.

yes, you're right.
Lithium Ion/Polymer battery life can be extended, if not fully charged. charge until 85%-90% only, can make up to twice life cycle.
And when do you start charging, when the battery hit 15-20% ? ( I normally start charging from 15-20%)
I replaced my broken screen recently, the battery had been lying dead for more than a month. Now after replacing the screen when i try to charge the phone, the RED LED blinks on a frequency of 7-10 seconds.
When I disconnect the battery flex and connect it to my PC it goes to fastboot mode, I was even able to flash a stock rom. When I connect it to main charger with the battery disconnected, display shows sony and turns off.
When reconnect the battery it won't display anything and the RED LED keeps blinking frequently. What might be the problem faulty battery ? or main board problem ?

The battery is completely discharged. Keep it on the wallcharger for 24 hours and then try to boot it.

But if it is discharged completely and when tried to recharge why would the red led keep blinking and not continuously glowing ?

It is not unusual. Just wait and you will see that it comes back on

Now the battery is charging I guess, RED LED is now glowing constantly which has been blinking earlier. Even though I was not able to Switch it ON.
The only way to recharge the phone is by using charging dock
Hi all,
Need help, my Xperia sp can't charge normally after I install custom ROM 14 cyanogenmod housan (official). I try to charge 4 hours but the result my battery is not up from 64-66 %. The LED charging isn't flash. When I charge with my phone is ON, the charging sign at top is appear, but the LED charging (RED) at bottom phone is not flash. And the battery is still 64-66 %.
And when I charge offline, the logo Sony is appear first and then the battery logo appear and led bottom is flash. And after that the battery logo is disappear but the led charging is still flash. I try to push button power and screen but the battery logo is not appear, just the blank screen with charging led still flash. But the result my battery is still same when I turn on my Xperia SP. Can you explain to me how to solve my problem? Maybe I wrong with flash or anything else.
Please help me master.
