System Partition can't be resized. Only data partition (it's not even resized, it's swapped with SD-EXT Partition).

I've seen different possibilities on other phones. Can't the partitions on the nand be resized? I have over 100 mb on /dev partition unused, and on /system, about 70 mb. I could use about 150-160 for /data and /cache. Will Firerat's Mod do the trick? I don't want to brick it.

Simply, my answer above answer your question. It basically can't resized, who is Firerat ? As long as it doesn't in Galaxy Mini Development thread it means it doesn't compatible with Mini.

Hi
I'd like to change the system partition on my S3 mini to the f2fs system, but CWM doesn't support it AFAIK. TWRP on the other hand does so I was wondering if and how it's possible to replace CWM with TWRP? (The S3 mini doesn't have a fastboot AFAIK, so I'm stuck)

This have been answered a lot of times so a quick search would have been enough.
Answer is that you just have to flash twrp in cwm and reboot to recovery.

How can you change it? I thought only KitKat ROMs could do that!

Yes, I know. The OP didn't mention on what ROM he was so I thought that it was doable on a stock one

Yeah i would like to know too !
What is the point of merging it? Still our roms can easily fit in the available space
was hoping can do that as well, so more free space for users?

I think TDB is not efficient. I would like to have only one system partition. Sometimes dual boot gives problems.

I just did this to install full stock PA gapps on audahadi's temasek lollipop. You have to delete and recreate the system and system1 partition thru adb on cwm (parted). Of course remember to backup system partition first. I'll post up a tutorial if ppl want to and if there seems to be no side effects of the resize.

Hi,
I am running Neo's Homebuild of CM12.1
And right now I am running into space problems.
As you know the internal storage of the XV is formatted as 2GB and 4GB partitions. System and Apps are installed onto the 2GB partition. The 4GBs are mostly unused, since I save my pictures to en external SD-card.
Now I was wondering if it is possible to change the filesystem layout to have just one big internal storage to solve my space issue.
Kind Regards

Nice to hear that.
In the meantime I found this gem:

this is more risky (if you do mistakes) then our method... also you can get even more space from your external-sdcard
