Does anyone know how to change the notification sounds to custom sounds on the HTC One. I'd like to use some not included in the One's ROM

You don't need Ringdroid.
Setup the following folders at the root of your memory card: alarms, notifications, ringtones
The tones held in these folders will list in the corresponding settings.
And there you have it. I knew it was simple. Thanks!
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Actually, those need to go under a /media/ folder on your sdcard.

May be media is not being scanned added. Check if this app named Rescan Media ROOT if of any use to you. It will do as its name says..

Yes.. it has worked for me in the past when new photos added were not shown in the gallery and after running this, it used to get displayed.

Try checking \system\media\audio
That is where it was on my HTC Vivid. Had a bunch of ringtones I wanted.

[Q] Notification for every app

I wonder how or if there is an app that can separate the notification sound for each app like What'sapp will play a different sound from the messaging app?

Yes but as soon that I set one of whatsapp it set it for all of them , SMS email system, the same sound I set for Whatsapp.
oh. Whatsapp, messenger, hangouts all have different tones for me. Are you using a custom ROM or any other app you think may interfere with sounds? /

Now. At least you know that you don't need another app for what you are trying to do. :good:

You right. With Audiko, every time you set a notification for 1 app it change it to the main notification on the phone so the key is to go back and change it to something else then you get the ringtone in the list and you can reselect.
All of the above is correct but i use lightflow on most of my phones which manages all notifications individually

[Q] Ascending ringtone fix/mod?

Hi,
Does anybody know how to fix the awful ascending ringtone in the moto g5 plus? I have missed many calls and messages because of this. I am okay to flash a zip file if needed. Please provide a fix.
Disabling it in settings seems to do the trick pretty well...
Here is the zip to disable it.i looked in my phone and there is no option.

Its not in the settings of a lot of phones.
Don't ask me why its not an option. I asked Motorola and they couldn't come up with any reson other than "its the way the phone software was written"
I use the Disable Increasing Ring App which works OK but unfortunately boosts the sound not only for the ring tone but also for every notification I get (email/WhatsApp/Facebook etc) . Shame cos otherwise its a good app.

I thought I missed the option in the settings but apparently it just isn't there. It's a shame almost every other phone has that option under Settings>Sound
