Hello all,
Yesterday i was trying to update my friends SG Ace FW with odin, so i downloaded the right firmware.
The next thing i connected the galaxy ace to odin in download mode, i selected the firmware, and it got stuck at setupconnection in odin.
I tried changing the USB port and reinstall the samsung drivers but no luck at all.
The next thing i realized that i selected a wrong firmware, the samsung galaxy ace 5830(i) firmware which i had in the same odin folder earlier for another device.
So i selected the right firmware for the device, and it got stuck again in setupconnection mode, so i got bored from all of this, then i turned off the phone and turned it on, and the phone now shows a mobile and a pc with a yellow triangle in the middle.
The biggest problem that my friend needs the phone today. :/
So please help me guys.
Thanks.
Make sure you are using the right version of ODIN ...it should be v4.38
and make sure the ops file is named as ...Cooper_v1.0
as long as ur phone gets into download mode u shud not be woried.but if the pc and mobile w/ exclamation has shown, how about try this link to solve ur problem:

Please help. I tried flashing the Galaxy Tab with some firmware on samfirmware.com for North America and not sure what happened but now the Tab is completely blank and not responsive. When I connect the USB to the computer, it does recognize that the Tab is connected though. Please let me know what I should do to fix this. Thanks!!

Is it possible you flashed the wrong FW? After flashing was the tab able to reboot?
Try wiping cache and do a factory reset. Volume-up+powerbutton. You will see in the middle of the screen a little triangle. Then push the volume-up button again. Then you will be in the recovery-mode. There choose wipe/cache and the wipe-data/factoryreset.
If that not helps try flashing another FW. The Rot-hammer i.e.
Fixed it!
Actually, somehow I fixed it now. There was nothing on the display at all. I could see from Odin that it could sometimes try uploading the firmwares. What I think worked was I pressed the Home + Volume Down + Power to try to bring the Tab into download mode and then I pressed Start on Odin immediately to try uploading a different firmware. There was no display on the Tab itself so I was not sure if it was actually in download mode.
Anyway, I'm glad it's working fine now.

please tell me what firmware you flashed...please im stuck and depending on what firmware i flash i can hear it start but still blank screen
Same black screen
I can get Odin to recognize my tab, windows 7 can see it and I can flash to it, but the screen is black all the time.
Has anyone had any luck?
What do samsung use to fix this? I've seen a repair/service program from ZTE for some of their devices that I believe was procured from an employee of ZTE. Maybe there is something like that around?
<edit>
I also flashed a rom from samfirmware, so I guess the issue is a locked bootloader from a stock rom. Anyone know how to fix this?
I too am having this issue with sawfiremware image.
i can can tell i am in download mode but i am unable to flash the EA24 firmware.
Anything that can be done?
Thank you!!
My Tab's screen won't turn on at all, even when plug-in, even that Odin said that flash was successful. But after connecting it to PC with Odin opened (Odin recognized it), loaded all files needed for flash in Odin, I pressed HOME+Volume Down + Power, the device auto-dismounted from PC, and reconnected again, I pressed start in Odin and after finishing updating firmware, the screen was working again.
Good luck to everybody! I'm happy now
what firmware did you use? thx

Thank you and sorry for my poor English.

Hi people,
I have just got a Galaxy Tab just for kicks. It's a P1000L brazilian one.
I want to unbrand it (it's Claro branded, the operator took out Gmail and Gtalk, also assigned search to Yahoo instead of Google), so I have talked to a friend which also has a Galaxy Tab, same model, but unbranded, all Google apps inside.
My FW is (or was ) P1000LVJJJ4, and his FW is P1000LVJJM9, so I went to this thread at TheGalaxyTabForum, downloaded the P1000LVJJM9 FW, PIT file and ODIN 1.3.
http://www.thegalaxytabforum.com/index.php?/topic/112-samsung-galaxy-tab-firmware-list/
I have read about the process and started doing it. Here's what happened.
I haven't checked the partition option, just put the PIT file and the FW file in the correct fields, put my Tab in download mode, clicked start... and after some time, almost at the end, ODIN failed. My Tab got stuck in download mode, yellow triangle. I got it disconnected from the USB cable, than put it again. Restarted the process, but ODIN got stuck in setup connection.
I took my Tab off the usb cable again, it was still stuck in download mode, yellow triangle. Pressed the power button for a while, it has turned off completely. Now it's bricked, maybe dead. No life signal, nothing happens when I press any button or button combination, nothing is shown when connected to the charger or USB, not recognized in KIES and ODIN, nothing at all.
Is there any hope for me? What can I do to solve this?
same problem here any help plz ?
Generally its a brick when it can't be recognized in Odin or Heimdall... This is because you can't flash anymore.... Best bet is to try a warranty repair....
Good luck...
so... anyone help me please?
Hello, I own a galaxy tab 7" latin american version for a couple months, everything was running good, stock rom/rooted.
2 weeks ago it stopped reading any sim card, I tried to fix that problem by going back to unrooted with superoneclick, and I ended up fudging everything instead.
The problem is:
Im stuck at the "(Phone)....!...(PC)" screen, and it's blinking, I've already downloaded ODIN tool and Heimdall's Oneclick Unbrick tool.
This is the screen I'm getting
Which none of those I've succeded unbricking the tab.
Please help me, what can I do?
Please help!
Try using odin, to flash this rom
P1000N: http://www.multiupload.com/EUZS7V21L6.
P1000L: http://www.multiupload.com/SZZZFK8GMO
PIT file: http://www.multiupload.com/ZL9HDOGI5V
Repartition checked.
After flashing the correct rom enter to download mode again and flash this http://www.multiupload.com/E0CQPPZCMN in odin without pit file and repartition unchecked, do a wipe cache and dalvik. then restart to system.
I softbricked my tab some couple times and this metod always works for me. (P1000N)
Thanks for the stock rom Rafa, the thing is, ODIN doesnt recognize the tab, when I plug it to the wall charger, it turns on the brick screen, and it is blinking.
Thats the part that really worries me, the blinking part...
When I plug again the tab to the computer, it doesnt turn on the same screen

I've once had my tab was showing a error triangle with connection problem from tab to pc -so i've thought "rigth just gonna flash it like i've done so many times".
When i've connected the tab to my pc odin didn't recognise it either. Though i've just selected my pit tar and so on and flashed it anyway, that little blue bar showed up on the tablets screen, and then it was flashing.
Try see if you're able to pull of the same.
Cheers, jakk212
But the COM port did recognize the tab??
Hello,
I have the same problem... did you find already a solution?
Thanks!

thank you i had the same problem with my tab from claro el salvador and now is working!
anyone else has any input on this?
1-Does Windows detect the tab?, check in hardware manager, see if listed.
2-try flashing using Odin or heimdall, make sure you use the correct version of Odin , I use the 1.7 and I don't have problems.
3-if Odin detect it do the steps above.

PDA -> CODE* file
EFS -> empty !!!
PHONE - > MODEM* file
You have flashed modem file as EFS.
Try download mode (VOL down + MENU + POWER).
