GBA Emulator Save Progress after ROM flashing? - HTC Incredible S

I really love GBA Emulators (Pokemon and Super Mario man ) but I also really like flashing new ROMs when they come out. So my question is will GBA Emulator game progress be saved on SD card or with phone storage?? Cuz Minecraft Pocket Edition seems to save progress on SD card while everything else uses phone storage???
I tried searching the internet but the answer did not really come through clearly and I would like a clear definite answer instead of something id be pondering on. Thanks in advance for looking

Use "my boy!" And save using the actual games menu or works for me eg press start and save game in pokemon

Someone Please Help me!!

I was wondering if someone could please help me as I am a complete noob at this. I recently purchased the Tilt (Kaiser) and I love it. My question is what is the best emulator for SNES to run on the tilt and can anyone give me a step by step instruction on how to put it on my phone. I was also curious as to how to put Shadow Of Legend on as well (cant seem to do it). I have plenty of space as I have a 4gb sdhc card. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you in adavance.
Nick
There are quite a few emulators around. Some people like one and some people will hate it. It's all about personal prefs really.
Have a look around the web http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=snes+emulator+for+pocket+pc&meta=
find a few and install them.... usually they are just a cab file that needs putting on your device and then clicking to run it exactly the same as any other PPC bit of software
Yo guy, stop making the same thread over and over again. The mods keep closing them for a reason you dope.
Sorry man im just getting overly frustrated with this i cant seem to get it on my phone i dont know exactly what to do.
Ok, I'm going to try and close this topic once and for all...
I went to http://www.spicypixel.com/web/page/morphgear/Download.aspx and downloaded MorphGear and SNES9X MorphModule by clicking on the link [CAB].
I then extracted both of the resulting ZIP files on my Vista box, and copied them to my phone using WM Device Center. After the copy was complete, I tapped on both CABs to install them (to Main Memory). I then copied one of my SNES games to my phone (I will not provide any of these because they are illegal unless you have the physical cartridge in your possession).
I then went to Start -> Programs -> Games -> MorphGear, and launched the program. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF NEEDING A SERIAL NUMBER, MorphGear is an open source application.
I then clicked on the Open file icon and browsed to where I copied Super Punch Out (my SNES game of choice) to, and tapped on it to open.
I spent 30 minutes playing it at FULL 60fps with NO slowdown due to piss poor video drivers that we have to work with.
Please do not take this next part the wrong way, but if you do not know how to install a CAB file or copy files to your device using either ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center, you need to do A LOT of reading before you attempt to do anything other than make/receive phone calls on your device.
Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Quake Mobile not working on Tytn II

I have installed and reinstalled Quake Mobile and Quake SOA bought from Handango but everytime I try and run it I get an error message saying a certificate may not be trusted or a component may be missing. Any ideas? Have received no joy from [email protected] to date.
well i have quake working but its not the "official download" that sucks if you payed for it. im using a shareware pak file so i just have the demo, but it works.
Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me how you installed it and what files you have present in the Quake folder I may be missing a file or something. Cheers.
I have the PPCARM2003 versions of both which were on sale as a package on Handango.
Do you have a cooked rom on your phone?
nope..as is ..straight outta the box..1.82.707.0 WWE I'm guessing it's an older rom..
any idea's? I can't believe I blew $20 USD on the 2 game package and I'm getting nada...
If its the certificate error maybe try kaiser tweak? I think it has an option to rid installations of that message.
To be honest with the TyTn II's graphics issues ( lack of drivers etc ) I would be suprised if this would run well on it anyway..

Cheers, sorry for the noob qstn, but where can I get Kaiser Tweak, I had installed Advanced Config Tool in the hopes of perhaps some tweaking as you mentioned but it says I have the wrong version of NET.CF I'm assuming it requires 3.5 which I'm told will kill my other .NET apps that run on 2.0 so I'm kinda going round in circles.
RE: the likely sluggishness of Quake on the Tytn II, I have Tomb Raider running on it seamlessly and had also hoped that with the performance boost I've gotten from Samsung Omnia D3D Driver (SJ SamsungOmnia_Driver_D3D.zip - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416474), that I could hopefully get it running. Maybe even with some quakebots, which I saw on another thread today. That would be worth the $20 I blew at Handango.
Any advice appreciated.
ok the original link that i used is no longer working. however try this
http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/Pocket-Quake-Download-16367.html
make a quake folder on the root directory of your phone. in this directory place Pocketquake.exe and another folder called ID1. in the ID1 folder put autoexe.cfg and pak0.pak. pak0.pak contains all the levels and game info. ull have to use the shareware demo, unless u can find the real one. i have a config file in my folder but that was with the old link. you shouldnt need it. if you want full screen paste this into the autoexe.cfg file
// Start in portrait
vid_mode "1"
viewsize "100.000000"
togglemenu
unbind "alt"
let me know what happens. message me if u need to i can email you exactly what i have if u need me to.
i had to play with the controls in the auto.exe file to get them better so just experiment with it.
Thanks for that am going to give it a go now..cheers
quake mobile? or pocket quake?
quake mobile is a OpenGL accelerated pocket pc version of quake. it is only for VGA devices, preferably on ones that use an accelerating chip. It's not the real port to quake 1, but it's pretty damn close. Unfortunately you will not be able to get it to work on your Kaiser, it's not meant for that device.
pocket quake IS the port of quake 1, nothing different about it, it's the real stuff. unfortunately on all these new wm6.1 roms it wont work. so unless your using an older rom, or one of dutty's older wm6.1 roms (which aren't based off of the kaiser wm6.1 released by htc), that is the only way you can get it to work.
im using dutty's wm6.1 hybrid, it works fine on that
Yeah I just realised that..it's Mobile Quake the Open GL version for VGA devices. Bummer, on Handango you log in and have your device registered with them or select it then they provide a list of compatible apps. I clearly selected Tytn II and the first package I get offered to buy is the fricken Mobile Quake Package with Quake SOA thrown in. So aside from that rip off...let's see if I can't get this Pocket Quake working. I have the ROM that the Kaiser came with out of the box which I assume is ancient as it's carrying WM6.0...not too keen on installing to the root of the phone as I'm pretty jammed with apps. Maybe a Duke Nukem port or some other suggestions for a decent fix for my FPS yearnings I could install to SD would do the trick. Any suggestions? Both as to whether I am in dire need of a ROM upgrade and/or ports of any of the popular FPS's that I can get to work on my Kaiser. Cheers fellas.
at one point i had duke nukem on my phone, but you had to tap the screen to fire. im sure some key mapping could fix it but i havent had time yet. let me know if anyone get bots to work with pocket quake. it works with the pc version so theres no reason it cant with the ppc version

Ok thanks for that, I have pocket quake in the phone's root and the pak0.pak (am trying to track down a full version) used your edit on the autoexec.cfg and it's flying. Now is there any way I can play it fullscreen in landscape mode? That would be slick.
My bad nix that request above...I just realised it IS in landscape...ok I'll take a RTFM on that one..
ill pm u the link for the full version.
thanx dude

Idea for very handy simple new app...

Hi all..
I am good with ideas.. but not programming so much... I was thinking of this app that would be very handy to most of us... no matter what device people use... Basically, it is this... An app that re-arranges the icons in the start menu and subfolders in order of how often we click the various icons...
For example... say I use my phone mainly to play games, like teeter... So, in the start menu, in the root directory, the games folder would become listed first... then inside the games folderm teeter woudl be listed first..
Also, if possible, I would like it to incoperate liek a 50/50 mix of all time uses, and "recent" uses... So, say I was in navigation and had all 100 options... I tried out igo, navigator, Bing, google maps, garmin, etc... and I use TomTom 85% of the time, google maps 10%... and variosu other ones 3%.. but lately I have bene using Bing all the time.. even through it would only work out to be 2% of the total uses, it woudl be moved up because of the last 20 times I used GPS, I used it 80% of the time.... That make any sence?
If anyone is willign to design such a program, I would be game to help test it out... I use an unlocked fuze, usually with an Energy rom on it..... I would like it to keep the folder organized how I have them (like keep all my games in the game folder, all internet apps in the internet folder, etc) but jsut arrange those folders accordingly... Anyone else think this would be a handy idea?
Although i Agree this would be a great APP it more than likely will take a massive chunk out of the RAM so it seems useless unless you would really enjoy this
good idea w the cost of more ram, I suggest to make use of short cuts and hardware buttons for easy accessibility.

windowsmobile7series standard edition

. only works for standard devices and maybe touch devices all the things that were wrong with it is now fix. it will be here now to u and i posted a video about it go check it out http://www.youtube.com/user/julian35961?feature=mhw4
you would need all these apps to just make it but lucky they dont use that much memory and make sure to save to main memory and use must have the lastest mortscript like 4.2 to run them and you would need chome configuration but alreadyive to you.The first thing you would want to download fist to your phone is the titanuim panel first then mortscript.mortscript can be save to memorycard and titantuim panel but just not the plugins. i would had put it all in one file but did feel like doing it plus people may not like some of the stuff in it tat it have if i put it in a file and the rest you just have to install the plugins you will find them chomeconfiguration and you know what to do next to find the files you have to go to my threads you should find it would say making windowsmobile7 somthing and to check out the video
xbox live
manage to make a simple xboxlive app that use can acess from the theme or front page would be showing a video on that later.link to other thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639861&page=2
looks cool man, nice

Windows Phone 8 hacks

Yes, I have searched quite a different number of ways and have yet to find another thread, on not only this site but others as well, that comes close to answering my question or asking the same one. I assume this means the answer is no, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Is it possible to hack games on my Windows 8 Phone? I have a Nokia Lumia 520. The particular game in question is Throne Wars. I'd like to get into the game and change the amount of in-game currency I have.
All help is appreciated.

Assuming in-game data is stored in the AppData folder, you could (theoretically) modify some files and results should appear.
Problems you are facing:
-you have a Lumia (so you can't really modify any files because no proper unlock is available)
-we don't know how the game stores it's data (weird file format, etc.)

If the game programmers are followed by the standard scheme only The apps can save data in any format...
Yeah, there's no guarantee that they used the IsolatedStorageSettings feature to store that data. Might have, might not have.
There's also no guarantee that it's unencrypted. Encrypting the data using DPAPI is easy, but makes editing it much harder.
You also could easily get your game account banned. Xbox Live games are known to have anti-cheating mechanisms; Throne Wars may not but then, they might.
But yeah, the key problem for you right now, aside from moderately questionable ethics (let me guess: this is one of those games where if you need more money you're expected to pay a few dollars for it?) is that your phone has no "interop-unlock" or similar "jailbreak" available right now, so you don't have any way to access the app's isolated storage at all. Thus, you can't change it.

you would need a developer unlock for that (search development & hacking section to get that on your lumia). Next grab Windows phone power tools from here: http://wptools.codeplex.com/ . Install a XAP of the game (you need to find one yourself) usinf power tools. Next you run the game, after that you can copy its data to a pc using Isolated Storage feature in power tools. enjoy.
