[Q]GApps for jb 4.2.2 TASS released? - Samsung Galaxy Mini

I have to install the latest build 2013-03-10 to my galaxy mini. i follow the below thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085347
since its 4.2.2 i wanted to know if there is an 'official' release of GApps 4.2.2, and whether i should install it. Or if GApps 4.2.1 is the latest, is it already included within the build i mentioned above?
Thank u.
My sincere thanks to erikcas and rohan007.

NO need to flash gapps. its already included in the rom.(atleast the basics)

I was thinking of getting google now for 4.2.2 on mini. Please post if that becomes possible.

the one included does not have 'google now'. Or as u said only has the basic apps. Anyway, Now i have installed the latest build . should i update the gapps now? because i tried to install gapps as soon as i installed the rom n the rom was not behaving properly. (like i cant get the browser to work and stuff like that). so i thought may be after configuring the os syncing my google accounts the GApps upgrade works..?
Thanks

Have you rooted your phone? Also you need custom recovery such as cwm to flash paranoid.
Here is the guide for rooting and installing temporary cwm on your phone.
Hope this helps.

Hmm this is PA 3.60. That issue is known and this rom is still not for daily use man. If you want something 4.2.2 go look for pac-man or cm10.1. If you still want PA, you can check out pa 2.99 thread.

Which rom did you flash? The Gapps are not interchangeable in my experience.
try these gapps by removing the bloat from gapps they fix a lot of issues

Yes, there're here CM11 STABLE Releases
You'll need CWM 6.x recovery, a based CWM6 recovery or TWRP 2.7.0.0 recovery to flash those ROM correctly
Finally here you'll find CM11/OMNI/OMEGA roms, you can flash using a CWM 5.x based recovery

I think that those releases are also the same as in this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2659269

Exactly. The author has only modified the update-script so that we can flash it from CWM 5 rather than from CWM 6

[Q] After Updating ROM, what about Gapps

Hi there
Using the GT-I9000 with Android 4.4.4. (cyanogenmod Version 11-20140916 Snapshot M10 galaxysmtd, Baseband I9000XXJVT.
By the way: I'm an absolute Beginner using custom ROMS...
Right after this actually downloaded update, i have to (re)install gapps, i think. But it is not clear to me, how to act correctly. May I use the last gapps.zip published for 4.4.4, which was downloaded and installed before (pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.4-20140901-signed.zip)
or is it necessary to find a new Version for gapps?
If so: what is the easiest way to find a properly Version of gapps
Thanks a lot for your help
as long as the gapps package is compatible with the rom its okay to reinstall

[Q] Return to Galaxy S after 18 months

Hi all,
I have just re-started to use my Galaxy S after it sitting in a draw for 18 months. It currently has Rombox Beast V3.0 as the rom, and the Play Store app is miles out of date, which I am guessing is the reason for me getting errors when trying to update/download any apps.
Can I have some recommendation as to a ROM I can drop in and flash over the top of what I have, + gapps if needed, to get the phone functioning again.
Thanks
Swilly

In my opinion last Mackay KitKat Rom is the best choice for our old Galaxy...
And Dirty 8 is not bad...
Thanks both ... downloading bits and pieces at present
For the Mackay Rom, which of the various Gapps do you recommend with it
Thanks

I will recommend PA Gapps as these are most updated: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
Personally I'm using Micro Modular Package, here's direct download link: https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/TKruzze/Android 4.4.4 GApps/Mini-Modular GApps/
And you can of course use PA Gapps Remover if you doesn't need any app from the package: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50684852
Also please post in the right section. This is the development section and your thread is clearly a question :/ So please post in Q and A next time you have a question
Whatever ROM you flash please follow the instructions carefully. Bad things can happen if you don't
All that said I recommend CM11 / Mackay ROM and the smallest GAPPS package you can find

Hi all,
Thanks for your suggestions, I just have one issue now ... status 7 error while installing.
I realise from some other posts I need to flash CWM 6.03 or above (I prefer CWM to TWRP) in order to flash the ROMs, I know this is being lazy, but are there any posts out there with the necessary downloads ?? I have had a quick look ...
Cheers
Swilly
