Hello guys!!
I have good informations for galaxy mini 2 owner's.
Sammobile wrote in his official twitter: "Galaxy mini 2 Jelly Bean updates are almost ready "
sorry for my english ;3
I also saw that post, but it's most unlikely that Samsung will release Jelly Bean for our phone that soon. I also hope for the best, but it just seems too early for that, as even Ace 2 and Ace Plus haven't received it yet. And SamMobile doesn't tell where did they get that information.

here it is!!! Our wait is quite short now!!!
Look, don't get me wrong. I also await this update, and really can't wait anymore - Mini 2 is capable of running Jelly Bean just fine (with some optimizations, of course). And I would be optimistic about all that, but we must face the following facts:
- It suddenly came out of nowhere, without any previous info, other than its original announcement way back in the September update list.
- From that update list only S3, S2 and Tab 2 received the update so far (20% of S2 devices still wait for it). 6 months have passed.
- Stronger phones like Ace 2, S Advance and Beam didn't receive the update, so it's unlikely that weaker phone like Mini 2 would receive it first.
SamMobile refuses to tell where that info came from. Jelly Bean will come to our phone, but this soon? It won't happen. Yes, our wait is quite short now - if you consider the end of summer as quite short.
Well we just have to wait and see
Well,I think that your phone may be able to fly

Well I just stumbled upon this little nugget of info as I was browsing the LG website for info about shutdowns:

These informations are in danish so here is a rough translate:
When will the P990 get updated to Android 2.3?
LG P990 will get the update to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) in June-July 2011. More information about the exact date will follow as we near the date.

Thanks for sharing the information.
A bit later than expected compared to others like Motorola, Samsung and HTC. But better late than never, I guess.

Yes, you can definitely count on it!
Cyanogen tweeted himself that his next phone will be the G2x (same device, different software)
now i already july, but still no info for gingerbread ..
You will never get Gingerbread update haha!
Eventually when other devices will be already on Ice Cream.
O2X is the biggest disappointment of the year!
Last indication was September. However they didn't specify what year
gingerbread in septemper. http://translate.google.dk/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=da&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=da&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mobilsiden.dk%2Fnyheder%2Flg-gingerbread-til-optimus-2x-i-september%2Clid.16297%2F&act=url

Depends on your point of view.
I bought it to use with CM7, not stock.
The newest 10c stock works great for me. It isn't slow and i got no problems.
I have tried most of the roms and stock is the best for me
I would have expected that most people should know by now that all dates given for any LG updates are FALSE, so please stop posting these messages and just wait.
Its done when its done and in this case its taking much too long (but thats the only thing lg is good at: keeping their customers waiting)

Q2-Q3..................end of Q4
LG Germany still says Q2 but I don't trust them!
Google should lower the time manufacturer have, to upgrade their devices to the newest possible OS..
18 months are way too much... LG, I see what you did there.
@Flix123 I dont think that they can keep their promise =(
I think we should stick with this statement to LG.. "Whatever!!! Just deliver us your updates!!! :banghead:

LE: They don't have any information to be released soon ... so late September it will be
We can just wait for any of this phones to have ICS so we can steal the tegra binaries over.
"Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon, Samsung Galaxy R, Samsung Captivate Glide, Tesla Model S, ZTE Mimosa X, Micromax Superfone A85"
They are f*cker in LG. Q3 is too late but finally we will be happy if it will be done in 2012
as i said, the december anouncement means NOTHING and LG will always find an other Lie (Good?) to throw at you!

Well, it's LG and this news is expected Hope we could get ICS on LG O2X in 2012...
First of all, it certainly isn't OK from LG to delay ICS that much, but really, folks, who cares? CM7 and many other great custom ROMs are there for us, so I don't suffer that much waiting for ICS - just send many thanks to the great devs we have here!

I follow you, I think it's safe to say that JB will always be an acronym for jelly bean on android forums.
I think:
+ the skin isn't too heavy.
+ Googlora (googorola? how do people spell that?). Moto should hopefully do better than most with software updates.
+ No hardware buttons to reconfigure
+ Motorola desperately needs some good publicity. A little over a year ago, Moto was the company that released the first major dual core android device (not counting G2X), and was seen as innovative because of webtop. These days, Motorola hardly even enters the conversation.
but,
- The phone was JUST released. I bet we'll see an OTA update or two, or maybe even three, before JB comes around.
- I don't think this will be hugely popular. It COULD be, because it has amazing hardware, and for the subsidized crowd, $99 is a steal. But right now, with such little press, I sorta doubt it. The smaller the user base, the lower it will be on the list of priorities.
- Until bootloader is unlocked, we're can't do it ourselves.
If I had to guess, I would say October or November, but that's just a guess.
I think we can expect to see a JB update much earlier. It really isn't that much different from ICS. I've used CM9 and CM10, I know that they are not official, but the difference isn't too great.
You guys are guessing October/November to get a JB update?
I promise you this update will not come before next spring! Google will do itself a great injustice if it favors Motorola in the least and with such large clients as HTC and Samsung, that's the last thing Google wants to do as it will certainly strain relationships if not end them. Motorola hasn't even upgraded the Atrix 2 with ICS yet and it's been out for what, 9 months? Moto will not jump to the front of the line for updates now that Google owns it, trust that, they may still get JB on the AHD but it's gonna take some time.
Awesome?
Motorola “Unlock My Device” Website goes live
Go Ahead and search this on Google as I am not allowed to post links yet
Found this today. I believe it is good news for custom roms and we will not have to wait for official updates :good:

I have a weird question for you .
this morning i connected my xperia t to pc companion to trasfer some stuff across to the pc .
when i did i was alerted to a possible update .
not usual you may think hey especially with the jellybean update that's come out.
the thing is that i have been using jellybean for a while now and have been documenting it for some time on Esato and here on XDA .
I was using .489 update on my UK Generic Xperia T ( Simfree ) and was hoping that when i connected it the .492 update was available with some of the bug fixes that is so badly needs at the moment as the jellybean update that came out was not really to be honest up to scratch .
ive followed the update procedure and low and behold i still have .489 ?
Does anyone have the foggiest on whats going on ??
Thanks in advance for your time as well
Chris.

have you ever taken these pictures yourself at all mate ,
if not it would see that the update services are becoming very buggy.

Hi mate, I did open a thread on the Sony Support forum this morning about it
http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/433482#433482
Someone there said it's the bootloader update whatever that brings.
As for my pictures I never took them myself and as far as I know they only appeared this morning after the update, weird or what.

Think the bootloader update refers to the car picture.

We all know a Motorola device received KitKat even before Nexus users, here we see a purported Sony Xperia running Android 4.4.2, which is newer than even found on the Nexus 5 .
Is this the reason we bought Nexus? How unfaithful Google could be.

Most probably it's fake. Esp. the lighter 2 in the end of 4.4.2.

Fake.
Obvious fake.
Insult? Wtf is wrong with people these days. Clearly, its fake.

If you look closer that picture than you see that the font of the number 2 is not the same whit the rest so FAKE.
P.S. i saw some galaxy S3 clones and it said 4.2.2 but it was definitely gingerbread
Yeah, it looks fake.
This elitist attitude by some Nexus users is annoying. I thought that was supposed to die out with the Samsung fanboys when Google stopped updating for the Galaxy Nexus.
You're already getting good value for the price you pay. Why are you whining that Google is releasing (or helping to release) version updates faster for other devices, isn't that a good thing for the Android ecosystem. Is it necesary to have the latest version only for yourself to validate your self-worth and feel superior to others because you have a device with a unique brand name?
Can mods lock this thread please?
Also, now you know to not read news from GSMArena.
What does this have to do with last year's Nexus?
Even if it's not fake, it's unreleased and it's an incremental update. Who cares?
