Since we have had to close/remove a few threads so far, I want to take a moment to review the policies in place for the Paid Apps section of XDA.
As mentioned by Svetius in his welcome thread, you must be a productive and contributing member in order to list your application(s) here. The exact quote:
This is not a marketplace. No buying or selling will happen here. If you are a developer, please provide links to your for-pay products. If you are a user, feel free to respectfully provide feedback to developers.
Because we don't want this to be haven for outside firms trying to use this forum as a sales tool, we will require that any developer posting here have a history of providing value to the community, either through free software, assistance/help to users, or other contribution.

Two other important notes:
You may NOT post paid themes or ROMs. Applications ONLY.
If you did not personally develop the application, do NOT post it here.
Please remember that simply being a longtime member does not entitle you to use of this forum. You must be a member in good standing, with a documented history of good behavior and forum participation. Generally speaking, members with 100+ posts AND a positive history will qualify you for offering paid applications. This is not set in stone, and can change depending on each unique situation, so do not hesitate to contact any Senior Moderator if you have questions on this.

The best rom for a lady?

My wife has a mi6x, it still has the .eu miui that came when I bought her the phone. It has root and twrp (old version). What rom you recommend me for her.
It should be android 10 and everything is cute !!
What is the last twrp I should install?

better be careful ..10 is crap ..she is likely to complain it worked better before ...if not try the latest miui 12 ( pie base) miui is the best looking thing around

It's not about gender. My wife likes everything very simple, ready to use and without any interference for complicated configurations.

Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is that your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
-General Forums - For news and announcements relating to your device.
-Q&A Help & Troubleshooting Forums - For all question / request threads and posts. If there is no Q&A Help & Troubleshooting forum, use the General Forum of the relevant device
-Accessories Forum - For posts related to accessories relevant to the device
-Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title) - For Developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs and Kernels including modifications to kernels, bootloaders, ROMs, etc., as well as R&D development discussion threads designed with an end goal
-Themes and Apps Forums - For the posting of Themes and / or Apps as well as announcements & discussions including modifications made to Themes and Apps.

maybe but they can test out miui with ios theme ... the look but maybe not the performance

Thanks for the welcome. I've noticed I find lots of phones through various salvage, trades, etc but most are locked. I'm interested in learning how to circumvent the barriers so they I can give the phones to others who need them. Hopefully I can get them into a usable form first

[HELP] Question regarding the highly viewed thread

Hi,
I see threads here that appear one next to each other - one with 30 views and the other ones are with 700k views. How does it work? Are there times people visit XDA forums more? What do people do to get such high views rates?

Indeed there are. Thread views are largely generated by the interest in the thread topic, with members visiting the same thread several times per day. So what you're seeing is very common.

I have two more questions please if may I:
In the apps threads, what are the people who visit them more than once are looking for? @[email protected] I thought that only the ones who create the threads are interested to see more traffic and so they are the only ones who visit their own threads more than once.
And the second question: who are the people who use XDA Forums? I’m not exactly aware of different societies among people overall.
Are those people mostly from US? Those forums are in English but US AFAIK is more of an IOS country. What do people find in Android? For me it’s a professional matter. I don’t know how others perceive Android. When I was a computer enthusiast (tech hacker) Android did not exist and I was concentrated in my university and high school studies. Ages I guess are Gaussian between 20-40. But I’d love to know more about the demographics here a little bit if possible . Up to the permitted level of course.
And I thought of one last question that interests me if possible, once again I’m just curious don’t judge me if my questions sound weird, I’m just learning. In the conversations that flow here in the topics, what makes people react to something that someone said? For instance why does a person reacts to an app that has been published in here instead of planning a trip abroad during that time or traveling between the cities on the public transport for instance? What makes XDA win his or her heart in that battle?

There are various reasons for this, mostly interest and participation in any thread are why members visit a thread a few times a day since discussions and questions are always fluid depending on various opinions and solutions.

XDA members total around 10 million world wide from virtually every country you can think of, and range in ages from 12 - 80+ as seen in my travels for 11 years on the site. And do not assume the US is just IOS country, that might get you some interesting replies on the forums. While there are many IOS users on this site as well, the predominant discussion has always centered around Android and the modification of devices since it's just plain fun to do. If you want to know more about XDA's history, have a look here.

The only answer I can give on that one is, human nature and freedom of choice. That is akin tho the old "Ford vs Chevy" discussion that I have seen all my life in the US over 62 years. People like what they like and do what they do because they can plain and simple. And that's about the extent of my philosophical knowleged. Hope I annswere your questions, and have a great day.
