[Q] new 2.3.6 firmware GINGERBREAD.DDJVB

I recently got my gt i9000 updated from a service center to 2.3.6 and now the info under about phone tab is as follows..
kernel version: [email protected]#2
build number: GINGERBREAD.DDJVB
baseband : I9000DDJV7
well this version is actually a value pack along with touchwiz 4.0.
I wanted to root my phone but could not find anything on how to root for this kernel version.. neither on any of the threads..
so i would be grateful for any help..
P.S: well,this is my first post so please correct me if i'm wrong anywhere.

If it's a value pack fw, you *should* be able to root by flashing semaphore 2.7.4 through CWM. Saver should be a rooting toolkit(just search for it). Once you got it rooted, take a root explorer, open /system/build.prop and look for the build date. Post it here then.

Maybe its an Asian region firmware.

where do you live please?

Maybe you can take a look at this:
this will teach you to install CWM and then you can use rooted ROMs afterward

Looks like the firmware is for INDIA though I dont see it on Kies now.
You can try flashing Semaphore 2.7.4sc kernel in ODIN.
I will wait for leaked one from Sammobile.

this firmware is now seeded in kies, so you can try and experiment with any other firmware and then go back to it (using kies or odin)

1) i want to ask now i m living at Malaysia , cos this phone netwwork is only have 3G/LTE, no have GSM .when i using this phone some time the phone ring & can not heard and must turn off the network and turn on again . ( is this because the network problem or any ?? )
2) can i flash with other rom ?? which forum i have to go?? can i flash new rom using N7000 series??

I have downloaded some 2.3.6 versions, but they don't work , what should i do, to get android 2.3.6 and latvian language in it ?

These are the details. The phone is imported. Manufactured in china. I want to change the rom version, This version is a bit unstable. It keeps on installing softwares, videos, pictures from internet without permission.
Can anybody please help me.. I want to update the software version...
