OK I have just installed a solution just don't know how good this ROM is but I just installed flashed Modaco rom and know all working with my 3g

You probably just had to flash a radio to it using fastboot.

radio ????

Radio aka baseband aka modem, without it your phone will not get signal.
Just check for it in the Settings -> About tablet, under Baseband version. If it said unknown, then none is installed. If its there and you still don't get and signal, maybe something is wrong with the rom you are using. In anycase try following the guide to factory reset your device using fastboot.

[Q] 3g is not working

Month àgo my 3g used to be working, sudenly my 3g change to 2g.
I checked my settings and everything was fine.
I putt my sim in another phone and the 3g worked, so its not a sim problem.
My apn setting are good.
I tried everything and nothing solved the problem.
What can it be?
Check Settings - Wireless and Network - Mobile Networks - Network mode, it should NOT be GSM only. Try setting it to WCDMA only.
.
I already tried it. If i putt it on wcdma only i dont get any connection.
Backup data and then factory reset .
jje
How do i do factory reset?
Backup your data and apps using a program like Titanium Backup, then go to Clockwork Recovery and select Factory Reset/Wipe (or something similar).
I did wipe and change my rom few times and its doesnt work.
Dont know what rom you are using but i would try installing stock froyo via Odin .

Have you tried flashing a new modem at all???
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
Not yet. I dont know what kind of modem to flash.
If its your standard Galaxy S I9000 you should be able to flash any of the standard modems. I use JPY because it seems to have the best signal and battery life. If you search the forums a little you should find out how. Darkyys ROM uses it as standard

I have the same problem and I just repartitioned in Odin to JS7 and it still won't automatically go to 3G/HSDPA, I have to force it either through setting it to WCDMA only and then back to auto or through SGStools by setting it to WCDMA 1900 only and then add the others in combination bands. All of the APN settings are correct, my IMEI is still the same, my HSPA revision is set, phone information states WCDMA preferred, I've factory reset, cleared cache, cleared Dalvik cache, and as I mentioned earlier, flashed with repartition, and after all of that... I still have to force HSDPA access.

Danger radio damage possible!!!!!!

Hey guys ,
I installed the OTA ICS update.
I decided to try using some gsm sims i have stashed a away and i was screwing with the gsm band settings. I selected the automatic band selection. DO NOT DO THAT YOU WILL EFF UP THE RADIO!!!!!
Once i switched back to my verizon sim i could only connect to the LTE network. I was unable to connect to the cdma network and because of that i could not send or receive texts nor could i make or receive calls. Hard resets did not fix the issue. I had to switch to a 3g phone( samsung haven) white i waited for my replacement device to arrive :/
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Have you tried reflashing the radio through fast boot? Or, maybe reflashing the entire thing?

try reset default. shut down. plug batter abt 5min. boot up. it should work if doesnt work then
use odin downgrade to 4.1.1. check again. if no prob, either OTA upgrade to 412 or use odin to upgrade to 412.
if both doesnt work, bring it to service center.
thanks

Yeah i have tried all possible things wiped everything flashed many stock roms 4.1.1, 4.1.2 and customs roms too couldn't fix it exactly what could be the problem why i have to refresh network signals after reboot to get the signals bar, my IMEI number is correct, baseband is there too
It may be some faulty hardware, if you used custom roms and still you got the problem.

I don't have that problem... i don't understand why you have that problem. I have bmd2 baseband...
i don't want to open new thread as i got the same problem like @Shashan just want to share that you are not alone.
i got LTE sim cannot use it cos in my area is no LTE support .
so i want that my phone is also on GSM or GSM/WCDAMA but it doesn't stay on that it will return auto back to LTE/GSM/WCDAMA and the problem stay no signal there ,
try every think 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 stock and custom ROM no luck here so i think it is hardware problem and the only solution is service center..
just to let other user know ...i did not brick my sgs3 i9305 and never flash wrong ROM. like many other user done before i9300 rom on i9305.
next week i will send my phone to service center it take max 14 days till i get my phone back repair or Brand new .. let see

just want to add this that in max 3 days i get my sgs3 back ...from service center ..cannot say if they repair or they send me new one. so let see cannot wait for it.
@Shashan.
Finally i got my SGS3 LTE back today from service center the don't send me new one they repair it ... what they do is they changed the motherboard on SGS3 LTE.
after test around 4 hours no problem with network and finally i can use my phone ...
so your choice is also if you want you phone to run as a phone too not just PDA then send to your near Samsung service center ..
I have the same problem. My I777 is running the Shostock3, whenever I set "GSM Only", it always get back to the "WCDMA/GSM" after a reboot.
I don't want to change the ROM or kernel, so is there anyway to auto-run a script to active the "GSM Only" right after the phone start?
My I777 is running

Try going into *#*#4636#*#* phone info and make sure your radio is set to wcdma preferred. If that don't work just play around with some settings there.

If that doesn't work, you can try flashing firmware. I had the same problem once except it was after I flashed a ROM instead of reset. After a day of researching, i found out I had lost my radio. I dug up the firmware for my phone and flashed it. To test if this solution is for you, reboot into bootloader (turn off completely then turn on while holding volume down), and at the top it should say things like hboot, radio, S-on (or S-off depending if you've done the S-off procedure), etc. If you do not see Radio and a number next to it, then this solution should fix your problem although you say your using Airtel but this forum is for the Sprint HTC One. If you have the sprint htc one, then you can click on this download link. I still have the copy of firmware that fixed my problem on my phone so I uploaded it to Mediafire to make it easier for you. Download it and put it in the root of your phone. Then, boot into recovery, and click install, and find the file I provided and flash it. Then reboot and you should have signal again. PLEASE DO SOME RESEARCH ON THE CORRECT FIRMWARE VERSION FOR YOUR PHONE because I dont know the exact model of your phone. The reason I say this is because you can SEVERELY DAMAGE YOUR PHONE if you flash the wrong firmware and I AM NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR PHONE. This firmware is for my Sprint HTC One 32gb U.S. sim card. Hope this helps. Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/?ybl9j7uztu3i1ae

[Q] Weird problem

Hi guys, my HTC one is recently caught up in this weird problem that I couldn't find a way to describe it. It was working flawlessly before this and after few months it starting to encounter this stupid problem. My phone couldn't detect my sim card and always rebooting itself after 1 or 2 minutes. The sim card is working fine in another phone, I navigated to *#*#4636#*#* and I found out my device will automatically adjust preferred network type to CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto. I only uses WCDMA or GSM, i tried setting it back to WCDMA preferred or WCDMA only, but it's still keep restarting itself. Can I have any help from this? :|
