Hi guys, do you find your Xperia Z's white notification LED look closer to purple or pink? Surprises me when I saw my whatsapp notification light as pink.

I think XZ uses a multicoloured rgb led - they can't produce real white light, instead they just light up all three of them resulting in white/pink light.
Thanks for the quick replies. I'm now assured my phone isn't unusual

Hi, I read about an application or a .zip to change black and white on XZ, where can I find?

It is useful for color calibration, but not for the contrast. So the blacks will stay the same. The whites on the other hand, can be changed.

So, is there an application to make the black more black than black?

No. The screen is a TFT LCD. The light blacks are caused by the leakage of the light behind the crystals. So there is no way to get darker blacks. That's why Amoled screens have the dark blacks. It's all about technique

The only thing you can do is to set a lower backlight level. In my impression the auto settings for backlight is not working to good, especially in low ambient light conditions. Install a third party backlight controller, like Lux Pro from the market. Then you can fin tune your backlight settings for all lighting conditions.
Black will then become more "black" due to lower backlight level in most conditions.
Is anyone getting a purple tint (hue) on their Z3compact screen, from viewing youtube ocean documentaries or anything that has blues? Also, it is noticeable, when I compare it with my HTC One S using any 'blue' from google search. This purple hue is annoying, sony Z3compact screen cannot generate a proper blue!
You can set a better white balance in the menu. It's really cool to have that actually. Cheers.

Settings->Display->White Balance
Here you can tweak the color tone of your display. I too found the display too "cold", so for me R,G,B=150,125,15 works fine, but this is of course individual.
Hi friends I wanted to know does your N5 display show colour tints while holding 180 parallel to the eye is this natural oled problem or there is problem with my diaplay
It problem is only in white background in browser or setting

Hello, I have a few days with my s10e but today I notice something strange thanks to xda labs app, scrolling threads on some picture profile was black so was a black circle and when I scrolling in that part the black circle, it's hard to explain with words but when the black circle moves it just moves and left a black trace like a shadow and disappear slowly until I stop scrolling, only with black objects do that, is it normal or its a faulty screen?
Perfectly normal for oled

That's not true, all AMOLED screens do this new or old, some less than others but if your screen is dim and you scroll with black on the screen slowly you'll see ghosting
Thanks everyone, I was thinking was a hardware related and to exchange it right away but need proof first
Colour changing

You have to do it slowly and steadily it can be seen clearly on white picture, background or a wallpaper. Try doing it agajn at night time turn off your lights around you and check it broda letme know.

Yes you are right , having it on my new a50s .. samoled
So how's your screen uniformity on dark greys? Try opening the calculator app in night mode and change your brightness from 0 to 100 slowly. Do you notice any colour shifts?
Can confirm that! Weird stuff indeed..

No it's how amoled works. Some phones are better and some are worse. Samsung should've used pure blacks on their night mode knowing that amoleds cannot display dark greys properly.
