It isnt a sd card problem. My battery is ok.
i think this should be a hw problem.

thanks for helping
so now im on paranoid rom and i downloaded voltage control lite
which settings should i use?
governors=ondemand?
the overvolting and undervolting settings?
i need stable run
thanks
with paranoid android, please use Cpu Adjuster oder Performance Control only, all the other tools don't work with this awesome kernel from pengus.
and update to build 10, it rocks!
governor should stay on interactive, to apply voltage settings, create a profile "default profile", the rest explains on its own

Hi Guys,
I had a reboot loop problem in my X8 after installing Viber from a Wifi connection and decided to mod it. I successfully unlocked the boot loader & rooted my Xperia X8. Flashed it with CM7 RC1 V4. I rebooted the phone to see the Cyanogen Mod screen with the skate board and it proceeded to ask me a question about the setup wizard or market option, I made a selection and the phone went dead. It rebooted and started hanging on the SE logo. I thought it was due to Baseband 15 and flashed it but no luck.
I have Clockwork Mod on it and can randomly enter it also. I would appreciate any help and pointers, is this an issue due to using the wifi and is the hardware at fault. Once the boot loop starts the battery drains pretty fast I can see the Cyanogen battery status icon and try to wait for it to charge completely
Many thanks & regards

* Did you factory reset it from CWM before installing the ROM? Boot loops are common when one doesn't, particularly if you're coming from another ROM (from what you say, I guess you're coming from stock 2.1)
* It seems that you flashed baseband 015 AFTER flashing the new ROM. AFAIK it should be done BEFORE flashing a new ROM, while still on stock 2.1. If that's the case, you'd have to go back to 2.1 using SEUS (or Flashtool; there are stock ROM images here on XDA), THEN flash baseband 015, THEN root, THEN flash CM7 again.
---
As a side note, you unlocked your bootloader but didn't install a new kernel, which is what one normally unlocks the bootloader for. Unlocking the bootloader isn't needed to flash a ROM as long as it works with the stock kernel (most don't, but yours should.)

Many thnks for the reply mate, what you said is right. I might have missed a few things. But I reflashed Baseband 15 yesterday before your reply to my post and now it seems to be booting into cyanogen mod happily but each time it takes only a few seconds and through a few setup screens before it reboots again. This is exactly what was happening even on the stock ROM before doing any Mod procedure and the battery gets drained too. Could this be a hardware fault.

i didnt get it, when on setup screen you mean when it tells to add your email.....and when you are finished it reboots?!
if i understood well, there is no hardware problem, go to cwm, full wipe-factory reset, advanced>wipe dalvik, reinstall your rom(install custom zip) and it should work:fingers-crossed:

Thanks for the reply stamatis, basically its just shutting down because there is no battery left to power it, it seems. At times it reaches upto the setup wizard (shown when booting for the first time), the next time it could go up to adding a gmail account or language selection screen. I have even seen it load the home screen before it shuts off. This all started happening after downloading some apps from a wifi connection. I have done that before wiping and re installing but will try again. My presumption is that since it was happening on stock ROM and now on CM7 too then it's probably a hardware issue

ok i see now, your problem is battery drain,
is it that extream? i mean, you charge to full and when you open it up it shut down by low battery?
have you try to opening while charging?is it the same?
are you sure its charging?
that way too xtream to be software problem so its more likely that its hardware...

yes you got it right. I do charge it fully and when it boots the CM7 UI for a few seconds the battery goes down half or even less or nearly empty. I have tried opening it while charging and thats when the above happens, yes I can see the Cyanogen charging icon. So you think its a hardware issue and I should not pursue it further

download setCPU apk , grant it access , set minimum clock to 2oo and maximum one to 8oo , check (set on boot) , reboot your galaxy note , reset cpu spy stats and check them again

Today I upgraded OS to 4.1.2 with V20C(Turkey) firmware but when I shutdown the phone and then Start it passes LG logo screen and then goes to lockup screen and then goes again to LG Logo loading screen and then lockup screen... this happens 3 times then it works, another thing I notice that the phone is more hot than having V10D without having any app running.... and memory usage is more than Android 4.0.3
do i have to downgrade to V20A?

When upgrading from ICS to JB a "hard reset" is required.
Do it and see if it solves the problem!!!

when you say a hard reset is reseting OS from factory? I reset 4.1.2 from factory and it doesnt keep restarting but temperature is a little high when copying files from SD to internal memory and also in gaming
Yes, by "hard reset" i meant factory reset.
This phone heats up a lot (like almost all powerfull smartphones), mainly when playing games, but that´s normal and you should´t worry about it.

I saw somewhere in changelog files of V20A that it reduced temperature I installed this mainly for having updated the phone with lastest official ROM and reducing temperature/drain of battery
Would I have to do something special before downgrading to V20A?
thansk for the answer

Regarding the downgrade to V20A, I don´t know what you need to do, so you should wait for a reply from other user or ask in another thread.
Despite that, regardless the rom you use, the phone will heat up lot, but as i said before that´s kind of normal in any top smarthphone these days, mainly if you are a heavy user!!!
Some custom Roms claim to reduce the battery drain, so you could try some of them, shearching in the Android development threads.
If you have root, you can use greenify to "frezze" some battery draining Apps.
One thing that saved me a lot of battery (specially while in standby) was changing the stock LG launcher with the Nova Launcher.
Yo guys, please i need ur help, im fighting with this for 2 days and i think i cant win this battle against my phone.
So the problem is:
First, i installed P.A 4.0 beta kit kat with iodak v9 kernel, the phone was going random dead. I thought is the problem with P.A cause is beta so i went to Vanir 4.3.1. I went got iodak v9 kernel again and it was doing this same for me. Random dead phone (off had to make him on)
So i tho its problem with kernel so i back to iodak 8v5 fixed from anykernel project. Yea, phone is no random dead anymore but when its going to deep sleep (i think cause when i wont use phone for 2h) and i try to use it again, the whole system android is lagging so much.
Guys, pls, help me. What i have to do? something bad with my phone or with drivers/system/android?
I have done dalvik wipe and cache everytime.
Second question is ... how to formate sd card? I cant, from computer and from android (no option) from recovery when im doing format storage sd card1 is getting error. What i have to do?
The most important is first question so please help me!
Thanks!

You are probably suffering from throttling.Make sure max CPU frequency is @ 1500 mhz.I'm on PA 4.0 beta with iodak v9.0(or 9.1, doesn't really matter) and having no problems at all.
Also to fix your SD card, get an SD card reader (USB microSD reader or laptop, both works.) and install minitool partition wizard on windows.First wipe the SD card with it and then format to fat32.Make sure you label it or else it won't be visible in windows. It'll still work on android though.
Also could you explain "Random dead"? Shutdown? BlackScreenOfDeath? Either way I'd say it's caused by heat.
Thanks so much for answer.
As i know v9 is max 1500 mhz? so how it go throttling? and throttling when i didnt do anything? phone was just on deep sleep? I was already using v8.5 on official cm 10.1 rc 3 and no problems and it was 1,7.. mhz
So i will change now to 1,5 and see if the problem is still there or not.
edit: yes i meant Shutdown... or just black screen but i could hear if someone is calling to me. Sometimes only black screen and i dont hear anything but when u were calling to me u could hear signal like a phone is on not off
Ok, seem is not the problem with 1700 mhz.. phone again gone..

You say you can't format the SD-Card - what happens when you try?
As you have this problem on two different ROMs, I'd be tempted to flash back to Stock and make sure you don't get similar problems there - that way you can isolate the hardware from the equation and start with a fresh platform for reflashing custom ROMs afterwards.
well i dont have even option to format my sd card. When i want do it from android vanir 4.3.1 there is no option. The only one is make off ur sd card. From windows when i click right mouse i can see only how much gb is used/free. No option to format. Whats bad? i tried from recovery too but then i got only fail, no number of issue or sth..
And @ rom... today on night it was looking good.. 30% per cent on battery... i made localisation off and went sleep.. i wake up moring and battery was 0%. No idea why, i made battery now 100% and looking if the problem is still there. Actually its working fine not sure for how long. Im still on 1500 mhz. If it will work today fine it mean the problem was @1700 mhz but why? when i was already using 1700 mhz with 4.2.2 and no issues..
And why in night i lost 30% of battery too? the problem with off localisation or what? or my phone need at least one connection with internet, since i dont have wifi etc so its fresh install wihout internet connect..
I hope u know what im talking @ cause my english is not good haha

You don't format your SD Card from within Android OS - you do it from Recovery only.
Ignore all your other problems. You have so many different issues that other people don't report, so there is something major wrong.
Re-flash to Stock (Recovery and ROM) via .kdz and then start troubleshooting from there.
Actually is working fine, no battery drain and no shutdown. I made @1500 mhz. Still dont know why there was problem with @1700. I will write here if the problem will be again. Then i will try with stock.
From recovery i cant format idk why... clicking on it format storage/android/data and getting error - failed to format or sth

It's probably something to do with the rom/kernel itself since I don't have that problem but im using a stock rom and I haven't seen anyone else with your type of problem either.. Did you at least boot into recovery and clear your cache and all that?

The deep sleep issue is because of your knox counter being tripped! They probably have a kernel somewhere to fix the deep sleep issue though, but then the kernel is no longer completely stock once it's been altered.
