Hi,
I'm trying to connect to EDUROAM. It's set with WPA2 Enterprise, PEAP, MSCHAPv2.
The same problem with other WPA2 enterprise networks.
After I login with the correct username and password, the signal drops down and never connect.
The radius log in the server never receives the login try.
I have read a lot of post with fixes for 2.2 android versions, but anything for 4.1
I have x.350 version
anyone has the same problem
Thanx!

Yep, all eduroam's are the same... Did you flash your phone using flashtool? If yes, do a repair with Update Service or PC Companion, there might be some corruption. Flashtool doesn't do all the verifications.

Hi, everyone,
I've met a strange problem these days.
I'm always following the CyanogenMod ROM and it's really nice, however, I met this "wifi cannot obtain IP address" issue on CM4.0.4 and some experimental CM builds(using donut 1.6 core)
I'm using D-link at office and TP-Link at home.
TP-Link works fine, D-Link worked fine and i cannot specify from which version of CM Build, the G1's WiFi met the "Cannot obtain IP address" under D-Link Router.
Here's the information of my G1.
T-Mobile G1, Rooted. using CyanogenMod CM4.0.4 ROM, radio and SPL are all updated.
Is there anyone who has solved this?
Thanx!
Delete and try again. I had that once at my folks place on vacation. Just had the wrong freaking password.
nope, im sure about that i entered the right password.
thank u anyway

Might be the security on the router. You need to set to "WPA2 Only" on some routers. Some will work with WPA/WPA2, but others will only work with WPA2 so give that a try.

now both of the TP-Link and the D-Link routers are under WEP mode...
Will WPA/WPA2 works?
I'll give it a try.
thanx.
I have a custom ROM based on the official 2.3.5 ROM (3.12.405.1) and the HTC WiFi Hotspot application doesn't work. The app starts and wireless devices can associate with it and lease IP addresses via DHCP but they can't access the Internet. I think its a NAT problem in the application because I can resolve names from my PC as the phone is proxying the DNS lookups - i.e. open a command prompt on my PC and type 'nslookup www.google.com' and I get valid answers. If I try to access the Internet with the browser it fails.
I have downloaded android-wifi-tether and this works as long as the 'Routing Fix' is checked in the settings. I was hoping not to have to have this alternate WiFi Tether application and use the integrated one.
Just tested USB Tethering and the results are the same - i.e. PC gets an IP address and can resolve names but can't access the Internet. I assume this is something fundamental in the NAT/Routing being done by the phone?
Andy
Really weird... Sounds like your mobile data connection is down. (I'm sure you already checked that)
Flash some other ROM with same base and try.

I can access the Internet on the phone when its running so I know there is connectivity. As I say I think its something fundamental with the NAT/routing on the phone - I am not sure how to debug it further?
Andy
I am not sure why but this fixed it for me:

I assume with Orange the WiFi Hotspot App uses this 'Consumer Broadband' connection and not the default 'Orange Internet' connection. I was tempted to delete the 'Consumer Broadband' APN and see what happens, a job for another day though as I need to use it at the moment.
Andy
I can connect to my home wifi fine, good signal and everything, but the thing is when I go to say, load a webpage, it just won't load. No matter how long you leave it.
But when I connect to a mobile hotspot Wifi from my other phone it works fine.
Could it be something to do with my router?
Thanks to anyone that try to help
What router is it?

If you have a terminal emulator on your phone, you can try to "ping" the router (most likely 192.168.something.1..)
"ping 192.168.1.1" or whatever address the router has...
This is the same address that you'd type in a browser on your PC to configure access the router's config..
And try to ping something on the Internet such as one of Google's DNS server (ping 8.8.8.8)
A few more details might help us help you:
Router brand and model?
Encryption type used (None, WEP, WPA, WPA2..)? ..WPA2 is sometimes downright broken on some router models..
Does your wireless Internet router work for another wireless device?
Does your Internet work from a wired computer on the same router?
Is the router configured for wireless g,n, or mixed? You might need to play with the router configs.

It's a NETGEAR Wireless N Router - WNR2000.
Security: WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]
Channel: Auto
All my other devices that I have used the wifi with have worked fine.
This is really annoying, I just can't think of what the problem is..
How many devices are connected to the router at any given time? Try disconnecting another device from wifi and see if that works.

Yeah when I disconnected my laptop and then connected my DROID3 it worked fine.
What is the solution to allow it for the DROID3 to work?
Your router only allows for a certain amount of connections. You will either have to turn wifi off of one of the devices or get another router.... simple solution would be to turn off wifi one of the devices when you are not using it.

Try changing the security to WPA2 with AES only - I've seen problems with Android phones in the past when both TKIP with WPA and AES with WPA2 are enabled. If you have any old devices that don't use WPA2 (unlikely), then try WPA with TKIP only. See if that fixes it.
If not, and it's a device limit issue, check the DHCP settings on the router to see what the address range is. If it is set to something like 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.xx (whatever number xx is), try extending the range to something larger (though no larger than 254, obviously) and see if that helps.
I tried it a second time and a only got connections every minute or something and it wouldn't last for very long :\
It's not a device limit issue because I have had 2+ devices connected to the wireless before.
I second switching to AES. It is more secure anyway.

^ tried that aswell and it didn't work
Maybe try setting a static IP?

Turn off all security on the router and try again as a test.also you might need to reset your wifi connections on your phone. Try wifi fixer

Have you tried resetting the router? Power it down and then re apply the power. I know that it makes no sense that this should work, but it has fixed the problem twice on my D3.
Anyone else having trouble connecting to a WPA Enterprise network. My HTC Sensation running ICS connects fine to the wireless network as do many other Android devices. I'm getting "Authentication Problem" when trying to connect. I've verified we have the proper certs installed.
It just doesn't seem to work. Curious if anyone else is having problems connecting to their Enterprise Wireless Network.
Just to add information this is using TLS.
Working fine here, although we use Cisco APs & Controllers with PEAP and MSCHAPv2.
Cheers,
Kermee

I spoke to our networking people and they indicated that TLS is a whole different ball game that PEAP. Thanks for the feedback
I am having the same issue. It just gets stuck on authentication.

My hangs on authenticating and eventually goes to disconnected or "authentication issue"...
It's going to be no fun if a fix isn't found for this problem shortly. Our networking people looked at my N7 and confirmed that it is setup correctly but didn't know why it does not work. They may purchase one, since they have a user base (a University) that is likely to have quite a few people looking to use it.
It seems this may be an across the board problem with Jelly Bean. Came across this http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34212
Assign Static IP
I had a problem at home with my security but was fine with my neighbors unsecured AP, so I just assigned an IP and it worked great.

no love with WPA Enteprise TLS
I am having WPA Enteprise TLS problem as well.
My TFP connects fine witi ICS.
Hoping for a fix to come out soon.
Same Problem hear. I have a Galaxy Nexus with 4.1.1 and the Nexus 7 with 4.1.1. EAP-TLS is the authentication method. Galaxy Nexus works, Nexus 7 doesn't work.
Hi all,
I have same issue with mine Nexus 7. Our wi-fi at work uses EAP-TLS. I have a key .pfx that I installed on several gadgets. Nexus 7 is the first device where it does not work.

with apologies, I'm not an expert of routers yet, and i dunno about your router, but you pointed out that you need to enter username and password after you connect to your access point, if that means your AP has hotspot enabled, you can try to open any webpage in your browser and see if you land to that page?
if not then connect any other device with your router and when you land on that page, copy the address of it
again apologies for not giving you an expert answer, just betting my knowledge so may b it adds a point of thinking in your situation lol.
and i hope anyone expert will help you on this soon.

Do you enable Mac filter in your router? Your mac address is changed in cm 10. So if you're enabling Mac filter feature in your router you won't be connected.

the mac filter is disable.I think the cm10 has cut some configuration files than 20b. if i can find the different between the 2 roms, the problem can be solved.

i tried all the ways,i think the way to solve the problem is to find the different between the two configuration filess of wifi.
