It would be great to not have On-screen buttons while gaming..Maybe like the camera app there are 3 dots instead of buttons..so when we want to quit we just touch them to bring them back..So no accidental press!
I just use full!screen app from the store.. Its free n very functional
well i tried that in Virtua tennis..Although it removes the on screen buttons but that space is replaced by an empty white bar..not the game :/

When I turn the screen on landscape mode while watching movies or youtube, the softkeys menu will disappeared but that doesnt happen when playing games on landscape mode. The softkeys remains on screen even on fullscreen landscape. It is very annoying.
Is there a way I can make it go away?
Note: I dont have this problem with my old Galaxy Nexus. When the game start, softkeys disappear automatically
No you can't - how else are you gonna access the menu and or go back to the home screen?
Take it as that they are the software equivalent of hardware buttons - there to stay.

But when watching movies they are invisible until the screen is touched so why can't it be the same for games?

It depends on whether the app is coded to show hardware keys or not - and video players usually are less graphic intensive than games to allow the fancy pop-up ui.
Right now, most games/apps are coded in such a way that:
If detect hardware buttons > disable menu bar
If no hardware buttons detected > menu bar will stay no matter what.
For video player, because of the specialized nature of these type of apps, has the menu bar appears in pop-up form when a finger touch is registered. Games can't use this because a finger touch on a game is usually an action in the game itself.
Unfortunately, in a world where hardware buttons for Android are becoming rarer), this is probably the best way around the UI.

Thankyou for the explanation
please answer some questions if you cant answer them all...
1. I saw there is a mod that makes the htc logo the menu button....does that also make the black bar go away in apps that have the black bar?
2. during gaming or swiping can you accedently press the back button? for example swiping from screen to back button activates it or not? (does it require a tap, or will a swipe suffice?)
3. how much does the GPU eat. how many hours could i play modern combat 4 for example? an average of time would be enough.
4. can i zoom in during recording slow motion videos?
i currently own a galaxy S4 wich has desame camera features....but all need to be set before you make the photo. the htc one just makes the photos and then after making them you can select those functions like drama shot and eraser wich is very nice.
the thing that i dont like on the htc one is a smaller screen size and afraid i will tab the back button every time.
1. With 4.2.2 you have the option to remove the menu bar, you can make it so that if you hold the home button, it acts as a menu, and swipe the home up for Google Now, and double tap home for recent apps. its in Settings/Display & Gestures
2. never had any accidental back button presses during gaming.
i cant answer the other two

thanks! have you tried to swipe from game/screen to back? will it activate it?
maybe is there a way to only make that button work doing a double tap?

1. The black bar will still be there on 1.2x ROMs, but with the 4.2.2 ROMs now circulating, it is removed by default.
2. I have never accidentally swiped until it hit the back button, but if you're having issues with that you can just turn the phone the other way round so that the buttons are on your left instead of on your right (assuming you're right handed)
3. I have not played MC4 (just bought it today), but it can play Asphalt 7 for about 3-4 hours before it rolls over and needs a charge.
4. You won't want to do any zooming of any kind on camera phones, cos it's digital zoom. Optical zoom is achieved when the lens in the camera move to give you a closer view, but digital zoom just enlarges the pixels on your screen and looks fantastically ugly.
I love the idea of softkeys. With it you can put bigger screens on smaller devices and they can disappear whenever needed to.
The main problem is that it's a 50/50% chance that they will disappear when I think that they should. With physical keys that's never an issue.
Movies, yes
Games, yes
Full screen applications, yes
etc.
What determines when the keys disappear and not? Is it up to the app creator? What can I do about it (I'm not rooted)?
They can't always disappear in full screen games. If the game needs a back button you would be stuck.
I assume there is something in there that tells it. Much like if an app does not have an on screen menu button (usually three dots), a menu button will be added to the lower right side of the portion of the screen where the soft keys are.
It's not there for all apps, only ones that don't have a menu button on screen. Not sure if this is declared by the app or if 4.4 can detect it somehow and show the button when needed.

On my tablet (running 4.1) I get these dots you are talking about (but not in the lower right corner, they replace the ordinary softkeys)). That's all fine because they take less space (from what I remember) then the ordinary softkeys.
If it all comes down to having a back button in the app, why not implement that in the app?
I downloaded crazy taxi yesterday and those softkeys are annoying me as hell.
I ended up getting used to using LMT and just turn on expanded desktop to make the navigation keys go away. That way if LMT gives me any trouble...I just hit the power button and turn off expanded desktop and my navigation keys are back. (Gravity box to get that option in power menu.)
Hated pie at first...but used to it now.
Sent from my Moto X cellular telephone...
Hi, i have a lumia 535, this phone doesn´t have fisical navigation bar (back, windows, search) it does have a virtual/sofware one, it also auto hides sometimes in some apps, my problem is in some apps/games when it autohides it leaves a black space where it should be the nav bar and in some game/app it doesn´t let you see what is behind it, and you have to play with some elements of the game under this "black space" and in other it also moves the touch areas of some elements of the game/app (li.e.: you have to touch 2 cm down and 2 cm right to click certain button) its like the app is trying to be full screen but this balck space or the navbar doesnt let you see beneath it, any reg tweak or solution to this matter?
Thanks
No
Just wait for the windows 10 mobile final version.
I found that disabling autohide in the Settings, then swiping up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the nav bar and swiping up again to hide it takes care of the screen problem. I wouldn't touch WM10 with someone else's phone for now. The supposed 'final' release will be too buggy.
I damaged the bottom part of my phone
I wanted to know a few applications that can help me use the phone for basic functions like WA and calling.
I am on MIUI8 and I have enabled the Quick Ball, any other such applications will be helpful.
You could try a couple of different things.
Pie controls app lets you access a lot of things by touch.
Swiftkey in floating mode to type
Screen rotation controls app to rotate screen 360 degrees depending on how much the bottom part is broken. (Be careful else you will be stuck 360 until in uninstall the app, as the shortcut to switch back is in the notification bar)
Arrow launcher from Microsoft . Access as lot of things from the home screens.
I will let u know if I remember more applications.
