Wooo! Another Diamond user in Ireland!
I'm also on Meteor pre-pay, but I have a Diamond from the UK (1.37.405.1 WWE). I've had no problems with calls or texts or anything...apart from mobile internet.
The built-in connection settings for Meteor are just wrong. They don't work at all. The WAP settings are available elsewhere on the internet, but I've managed to acquire (after confusing Meteor customer care quite a lot, because they've obviously never even heard of HTC) working mobile internet settings. The only problem is that their prices are ridiculous (2c per KB)...but at least I can check emails and the weather if I really need to.
If anyone wants the proper Meteor mobile internet settings, just ask (or phone customer care...and be prepared for a long conversation).
Oh, getting back to the original problem, have you tried your device on any other network? I would really doubt that the problem is Meteor-specific, because I've never had any problems using HTC devices on Meteor. BTW, aren't the new pre-pay deals really cool? Not sure about that magic mobile genie though...
Alright lads! Where did you get your Diamonds? and for how much? I'm trying to bring one into Ireland, cheapest way?
I would also hazard a guess that it's a phone specific problem, have you tried flashing a different rom?
Meteor Pre Pay here btw... I'm signed up to the 3G test, I get free 3G till the end of August! woohoo! They'll have PAYG deals when they release to the public in October.
i got it from Capti-lux in hollands airport, phone is great like but need to sort out why people cant hear me on it though ! ha
i ever bothered with the internet settings for it as i use the wireless when needed for emails etc , and the 3g will be out in october

what bad are you on ? gsm/umts ...

This may be just me, but I would try upgrading the radio. I've had the same issues with some of my other htc phones and it always fixed it for me.
I am on Vodafone and no problem with HTC DT on 3G in Galway. I have flashed it with a Diamond Project ROM including the latest radio and had to fix the access point to hs.vodafone.ie
Got mine on Ebay this week from all4ustore_lv for €450, paid last Friday, got delivered this Tuesday! Scary part is the insurance, it shipped as a memory module with value of £50. If you are a frequent visitor to Paddy Power then I suppose you can take this gamble too...

The cheapest way to get a Diamond is probably to get one from eBay or the UK. Some websites don't like delivering to random countries though, so you might have to physically go to a shop if you don't like the eBay. I wonder if they're available in Northern Ireland - I can't see any reason for them not being available there...
3G test! I heard about that, but as I'm only in Ireland erratically I've never really investigated it. I'm here for a while now though - how did you sign up to the 3G test? On 3G do they still charge that crazy 2c per KB? Also, how good is the 3G network (coverage, speed, etc.)?

Flashing in 2 steps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408621
hardspl 1.24
ROM of your choice such as:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407572
Direct download link:
http://duttythroy.net/downloads/ind...DiamProject_V2_5.2.19965_Radio_1.00.25.06.zip
Follow the instructions and backup anything important.
Ordered the Diamond from the UK the day it was released. Upgraded the rom to Dutty's Diamond Project and it works a treat. On O2 network and getting a Gig a month for €15 so thats pretty good. After Flashing with Dutty's ROM I have freed up about 20% more memory so it runs much smoother.
ok ill try and do that over the weekend , thanks all
ok iv seem to have got it working now again

Is that on some kind of contract?
1GB would cost €20,971.52 on Meteor.
Irish guys, Expansis have some cheap Diamonds as "B" stock, and having just returned from W.Cork visiting me Dad, I recommend TomTom7 to you, the Irish maps are spot on. Wish I was there now.

Isn't the "B" stock all of those returned grey imports from HK? Thanks for the tip about TomTom7 in Ireland.
Hey lads, living in the south and I've ordered the Diamond, should have it in a few days.
Up until now I've been using an old Acer n310 (WM5 and no phone capabilities and linked via bluetooth to a GPS module) with iGo 2006 (for about a year) and iGo8 (for the last 2 months). I've been trying TomTom 6 on and off. My job involves driving all around Munster and the iGo maps are far better to the TomTom 6 maps; more complete in terms of small roads, and more road and townland labelling. Also higher accuracy. So I'll be using iGo8 on the Diamond too. I definitely recommend it.
I'd been connecting the Acer to my bluetooth phone to use the internet and get my emails. I'm on O2 billpay and 250mb is €7.50 a month, which is great value. So the Diamond will mean one device instead of 3 for getting my emails, making calls, and navigating around the place.
Isn't there an issue that using alternative ROMs will cause the AGPS to stop working?
TomTom 6 uses the older navtek maps, TomTom7 uses the latest Teleatlas maps, which for W.Cork anyway seemed to have every little road, if you could call it a road. Some of the little lanes in W.Cork just aren't good for your suspension, I mean they are smaller than the width of my car and rougher than the dark side of the moon!
Using TomTom 7 on my Diamond + Uk/Ie Maps been to dublin cork waterford and never had any problems.

Right it seams to be an intermittent problem , could it be something to do with the network signal ?
Alright, before I go blaming att..I wanna see if anyone else is experiencing any issues with data...
I live in southern California (about an hour from LA) and a couple days ago my data pretty much stopped working...the icon on the top does the little communication animation thingy as if its trying to load the internet...but nothing ever loads. WiFi still works fine...now I'm typically fairly good at trouble shooting my issues...but I can't get this one figured out, I've ruud, flashed Roms, checked apns, changed apns...nothing. my dads phone is broken so I can't use his to verify working data - thus I'm turning to you guys, anyone in socal having issues?
Btw, I have a 3gb plan and have used about 1.2gb (today is the last day of my.monthly cycle)
I'm also open to any help...but as I've stated I've already ruud, flashed several roms and checked and even changed apns...nothing seems to work :/

Yeah...that's what I'm leaning towards...just wanted to see if anyone else was in the same boat as me :/

Here's my experience...
I used to keep my phone on 3g all the time... and I'd notice that data was sucking...
On a whim... I'd try lte... and all of a sudden it would work... and fix my crappy data...
My boss has an iPhone and his 3g would work where mine wouldn't...
Give it a shot...
The other is that they are working on the towers near your area

Might be something on your end. It's working for me in Irvine, HB, north OC, and LA (I drive a lot).

I live in Long Beach and work in Torrance. Regularly use data for the drive and at the gym in Cypress. I have not noticed any issues lately. On a similar note I had a similar issue a couple of weeks ago but I think something I installed and uninstalled may have messed up my android environment as a new flash may have fixed it.
Guys
I moved to the HTC one from a note 2
I used a 3 pay and go sim in my note and I thought the network was awesome. I could use TV catchup Netflix etc with no network issues at all. I never once saw a stutter or network dropout in my village, I ran this for a couple of months to make sure I was happy with 3
So I signed up with the 3 pay monthly and got my one delivered last Friday.
Since then I've not successfully been able to browse the net, watch Netflix or tvcatchup without a stutter or network dropout and it's frustrating the he'll out of me.
Anyone had similar experiences? Any suggestions?
One thing I do notice is that my one is regularly switching between H and 3g and I never see H+ which I saw on the note but I never see less than 3bars
Sorry for the essay just looking for answers

Three are pretty good with replacements, living in a rural area I get very good signal with my HTC One, so I'd phone them up if I were you and see what they say.

You probably have a network setting issue, although I believe the phone does not distinguish between H and H+. Check APN settings and mobile network settings.
I live 40 miles from the nearest major city and I've yet to have a problem with 3. I'd phone them up to check if there's a problem in your area

I think you should prepare for it when moving to a nearly full metal phone. It will be not as good as others of yours before.
Anyway, it's still good for most.
Hi does anyone know what the difference is between the h200 and h300?
i didnt see any model numbers mentioned on the htc website however i have noticed on ebay there are several dg h300's and handtec also sell this - amazon UK only have the h200.
I dont know what the difference is i'm guessing maybe just regional differences? I got one free with my HTC One

i think the 200 only supports the one series whereas the 300 supports more devices. if anyone can confirm this it would be appreciated. i just want to verify if either version will work with my dinc 4g. (seen mostly the 200 on ebay...)

My order was for a H200, but I received a H300. Looks like Amazon don't know the difference either.

Ok, so this is my 3rd device now, SIM free UK phone from phones4u,
Just updated to latest software and still suffering from the issue of intermittent back and home buttons not lighting up and also (and most annoying) is the static hiss/interference noise that I get through the earpiece when making calls.
Was really hoping that these would be sorted by the update ......might well be a deal breaker for me now as in the very least it should function properly as a phone. Gutted as have really tried to persevere with the phone but poor call quality is a real issue.
Anyone know why this is there and if there is likely to be any fix for it ?

Just me then ?

What a pain. I'm on my third one too, from phones4u sim free. This one has a couple of dead pixels and small gap, but the unresponsive back button issue is gone... So I'd say give it another shot at an exchange!

Mines fa34kw sim free black handset. Build is fine and the back buttons are not unresponsive, just don't light up as often as they should but that u could live with, it's the noise on calls that's really annoying, I've noticed that it seems to be mainly there when I make the call, not when i receive them
