Do you mean to Sim unlock? If so then no.
Do you mean unlock bootloader? If so its free to do via the sony official method, just google "Sony unlock bootloader"
Do you mean gaining root acces? If so google "Bin4rys root many android" or search for it on xda.

Yup I'm asking about sim unlock is it possible by rooting ? If not please suggest me a paid way in which I can get unlock code (note that site must support Indian credit/devout card)

No, SIM (un)lock has nothing to do with rooting. SIM locking is done by your carrier, so you should ask them. Here in the Netherlands carriers provide SIM unlocks after your contract has ended, but I don't know what the policy is in India.

[Q] Factory locked bootloader

Just received the XSP as an upgrade on T-Mobile UK and was disappointed to discover via the service menu that the bootloader is unlockable. Forgive me for asking but does this mean that there is absolutely no chance that at any point in the future I will be able to unlock it? I would like to use custom roms and want to know if I kight as well look for a new phone. This was never a problem on my old Optimus Black.
Thanks in advance.

Praise the (Doom)Lord! Will this allow us to unlock the boot then andflash custom roms?
Just to make it clear bootloader is locked this means no custom kernel which might mean custom ROMs are out ie. Cm,akop,PAC etc
You will be able to root using doomlord exploit and in time will get cwm for locked bootloader so we be able to use modded stock ROMs.
As it stands only root is available for locked bootloader hope this helps

Great, thanks. This is exactly what I needed to know. Guess I'll have to be patient then..
There is a way to unlock your bootloader. You must get a SIM unlock code, unlock your SP and send an email to Sony with some data like Imei, unlock code, etc. Then a messenger will be sent to pick your phone and lucky, Sony will unlock your phone.

Few days ago sent an email to Sony asking about this issue. Here in Spain there was a global complaint from Xperia U users asking for open the possibility of unlock their bootloaders: not to unlock it but to change the "unlockable" state of the phone. After the debate, Sony says people could send their phones to Sony attaching the respective unlock code with which they'd unlocked (SIM Unlock). Then Sony would send the telephones with the bootloader unlockable.
PS: Maybe he meant "not unlockable" instead "unlockable". If it's unlockable then he doesn't have any problem!

Yes, I meant *not* unlockable. I actually live in Spain so this service from Sony would be very useful, could you tell me how I can do this?

Yeah, mate. You have to send a message to Sony saying you've (sim) unlocked your phone and you want to unlock your bootloader. They will send you all the information you need to go through with the process.

[Q] Sim Unlock

Well, aren't you a smart ass.
I dont think so bcoz there is a thread for BL unlocking process said when u unlock it, u should relock sim or somethinv like that i dont really remember

Absolute NO. The bootloader and the sim unlock is totally different.
You can unlock your bootloader for free IF your manufacture date is week 29, 2011 or earlier. If you have younger phone (manufactured on week 30, 2011 or later) you must use paid methods (you can try with the free method but the probability of a hard brick is more than 90%).
To unlock you sim lock you must use paid method (only the plasmatool was free in a limited time period).
So, if you unlock your bootloader, it will NOT unlock your sim lock, and if you unlock your sim, it will NOT unlock your bootloader.
Note: the first bootloader unlock method relocked sim lock if you unlocked it with omnius.
nor is there a free solution?
please help

[Q] Impossible to debrand (Unlock) my Z1?

Hello!
I have a Sony Xperia Z1 C9603
Currently running
757 by [NUT] ( I followed this guide he have in Z1 General section )
I'm currently locked to the carrier "3 (Three)" and i wish to have it SIM-Unlocked so i can use my other SIM-Card i have,
Is this possible?
Because no matter what FTF i choose the phone is still branded and when i start the phone it keep asking me for "PIN-Code To Unlock Network"
So right now i don't have any connection at all on the phone.
Could someone please help me?
Sim lock has nothing to do with which firmware you are running.
You must either speak to your network provider or pay someone in a mobile phone shop to get it sim free
Unlocking the bootloader should allow sim unlock

The only way is to pay for a code, either from your carrier or 3rd party site. Any O2 contract owners can do it for free though.

Might be on the Z1, but I've unlocked boot loaders on a lot of HTC's and that has resulted In a sim unlock

Not on Sonys, which I've owned a few of. You need a code.

[Q] Bootloader not allowed

Hi,
I have a Sony Xperia SP and to perform all the procedures to unlock the Bootloader in the initial part that says if our machine can unlock the bootloader or not , mine says it is not allowed .
My questions are:
Why is this unlock on some devices is allowed and others not?
Even if the information that shows my device , it is not possible to unlock the bootloader , I wonder if there's another way to do it or even impossible to do ?
hug
Your service provider doesn't want you to unlock your bootloader and there is no way of unlocking if it says not allowed.

Thank you!
By the way... do you now if its possible, someday, create the version 4.4 KitKat in *.ftf extension so I can install through the Flashtool?
In simple words no. But you can install cm11 on locked bootloaders. Just search for it in the development sections.
Hit thanks if helped.

I also have the bootloader status set to NO.At the moment, there is no way to make it say YES,unless you SIM unlock it(It must work,as in most cases it is the SIM lock which changes the status to NO).

Bootloader unlock allowed No to Yes?

Hey guys, I have an question. Is it possible to change the bootloader unlocked allowed Status from No to Yes? I have no simlock, nothing, i buy my phone without a simcard and every simcard is working, so is it possible to open my bootloader?
Thanks!
So far today I was writing with the Sony support in Germany and they told me that is not possible to unlocked any bootloader from a mobile from 2017 so I tell them that is not true, I saw it in some devices and they told me I can ask at the Sony development site, so I wrote them a email, now I'm waiting for an answer.
But how stupid is it that the Sony support in Germany told me that no device from 2017 can unlock jet but they also told me that maybe in the future we can unlock the bootlaoder...

No I just told them that I know few people who open there bootlaoder without any problems and that people told me the status for bootloader unlock allowed was Yes. So I just told them too that is not true that no device from 2017 can be unlocked. Maybe the support had no clue about unlocking etc...
same here
I have exactly the same problem.
Got device w/o sim lock but w/
Bootloader unlock allowed: No
Is there any way how to unlock BL?
I can get (temp) root thanks to @j4nn's thread. So I can have necessary power to alter whatever needs to be modified.
What about cloning partitions from ulocked device?
