Changing the glass (not the digitizer). Just removed the previous glass and replaced it.
I havenĀ“t disconnected any cables and stuff like that.
I did it sucessfully with a Galaxy S III by the way.

Sorry i have never done this. Id suppose to check the cables or reinstall the old glass....
Sorry for not having a better answer

Hello,
I have a big problem. I have Samsung S5830i. I've installed recently rom called RazoDroid and it worked but there is a bug that cause that my phone can't read sim contacts. So I wanted to fix it. I've found a solution in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818830. I did everything what is written there and now my phone is dead. I can't even turn on the phone with the download mode, because every time I try a black screen appears so I cant unbrick it. Do you have any good advice for me dear developers, I would be very grateful.
U should actually try download mode again else u will have to take it tj the service centre.

Try entering downlod mode while phone is connected to pc via usb. There will not be any screen activity, but odin in pc will detect port in YELLOW color. I think you can unbrick it.

I don't know if it's a problem or not but even if my screen off, when I long press on the power boutton (perhaps 6 or 8 seconds) my phone reboot. So sometimes, in my pocket, it reboots. It is normal? If yes, any way to change this feature? I'm rooted and I've rXtrem rom V3.0 on Stock Kernel.

read the title. It's the power button he's talking about, not the home button.
It doesn't depend on the ROM, it'll be like that even if you have no ROM installed.
I've changed for Pandoriam ROM and it's the same "problem". I've not see you was talking about the home button, it's the power button i'm talking about. Son anyone can make somethnig with a little flash for exemple?......

Don't know about battery savior but the MENU and BACK are CAPACITIVE TOuCH KEYS which WILL NOT WEAR.out. And yes the home button will deteriorate over time!

Or if your finger is in pain when you put it under more pressure than touching screen.
But using the Button Saviour we can save the home button a few, don't you think?
I have tried to use Button Saviour one time, but i hate it. I hate the virtual button on the side of screen, so i searched another way to save home button and i found the app "Home Button" like free on market (link below). This app runs like a ongoing on the notification bar. So if we need to go to home screen, just roll down the notification bar and click on the app. The best part, the app don't run on backgroud, so no RAM usage! It only run when we click on, and than it close immediately.

Hello everyone. Not sure if somebody using this to wake up your OB but it's great for me as I don't like to press a power every time.
You do not need a root for it.
I've just updated my new LG Optimus Black to official ICS 4.0.4 (30b-EUR-XX) Great tutorial here http://getin.in/index.php?option=co...l-android-4-0-ics-rom-update&catid=86:gadgets
Go to settings->Lock screen->None, and now you can use any hardware button to turn screen on.
I've got widgetsoid app from market (my favorite one for power toggle widget) and widget "lockscreen" on my homescreen to turn screen off.
Couldn't find any better way to save my power button and wake it up
This is great for me. Because my powerbutton is getting a little bit broken because of pressing it to Much.

Nice username.
Yeah, the One has a very stiff button, so you're going to get almost no tactile feedback when you press it. That's how it's supposed to be. If you don't like it though, there are several mods floating around this forum on ways you can raise its profile (like painting on clear nail polish).
Or just bypass it almost completely and use the modified kernels for slide to wake or double tap to wake. There's also a few other long press options too. At least that way you only use then power button to turn on and off the phone.
There also appear to be options for turning screen off through the eqs, although I haven't been able to get those to work for me. Sweep2wake/sweep2sleep is awesome. Also a great little show off for your non rooted friends!
