LOL we posted at the same time :silly:. I think that he downloaded ROM Manager to boot into CWM and not to install it because he says that he uses CoCore kernel. So just flashing the reboot-system-cwm.zip file should be enough.

Thanks its working!
That happened to me too but for other reazons. I installed this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scartech.holoreboot app from market, then I went to recovery using the app and got stucked in CWM. Strange thing it's I'm still using a previous version of cocore kernel (4.4) but I fixed that using the same .zip
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
I took the card out to put the file reboot.system-cwm.zip from cocafe, but now my phone no longer recognize thge external SD.
How to proceed?

different kernels show different ram values, some is used by the system so you can never see full
stock shows 808
notecore shows more than that... its normal
---------- Post added at 08:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:08 PM ----------
no.. you need to make a full backup of your apps and data before installing custom roms

You just need to download PhilZ ZSLM5 kernel, reboot into stock recovery, flash kernel, then restart device. And thats it, you are safe and rooted all in one. (follow instructions in OP of Philz thread, everything is explained)
After that, dont flash any kernel please, you will have problems, Hydracore is ICS kernel, and it will not work properly on your ZSLM5 rom.
For now, the best one is PhilZ kernel
You can directly root with Philz LM5 kernel.. just flash it using stock recovery and you will get root and CWM.. no you cannot use hydracore on JB TW rom
Can you provide links to this kernel?

I'm currently running JetMOD on my S Advance but wanted to get one of the Jelly Bean roms ( Mainly JellyMOD ), i've tried flashing it but I get stuck on the bootscreen.
Since it says Jelly Bean Only does that mean I have to flash the Un/Official Jelly Bean Firmware and then flash the Rom? If so it would be great if someone could link me to the things I need!

hi everybody..i have questions before i flash rom on my brother phone..before that, what i need is,i must root phone 1st right.the version is ICS DXLR5..my question is,
1)can i root phone with latest phil cwm or i must choose DXLR5 kernel only?
2)can i flash any 4.3 rom using cwm that come with phil root package?i ask this because on galaxy wonder,we need cwm 4.0.3.8 and above to make 4.3 rom work.
3)and is it yellow triangle always appear after flash rom?
thanks in advance guys..and sorry for my bad english

1. If you just want to get cwm then you can flash the latest Philz kernel. But the phone won't boot. At the latest kernel is of JB. So if you want root and cwm and you want the phone to boot, use the one for your rom.
2. Philz kernel mostly has cwm 6+ so there is no question about this. But sometimes it can give error flashing cm/aosp roms. In such a scenario you will need to first flash a cm 10.2 kernel then reboot into recovery. Do the wipes and flash the rom.
3. Flashing a rom using the recovery will not give yellow triangle. Nor if you flash a stock rom using odin.
so that mean if i flash latest philz kernel then i flash rom straigh away,no problem will occur right..
Sent from my GT-I8150 using Tapatalk 4
There should not be any problems. Be sure to place all files need like rom zip and gapps before hand on the phone storage. As after flashing jb kernel, you will only have access to recovery. To be on the safe side, also keep a copy of cm 10.2 kernel zip file as sometimes Philz kernel might show error flashing.
but i can't search cm10.2 kernel on android developement..can u share where is it..thanks bro
