[Q] Call Forwarding. - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am having problems with my Xperia Z that I have not had with any phone before.
I have call forwarding set up for 'when busy' out of area and when not answerd, but I have noticed several times the diverts to my other phone have not worked when any of the conditions apply. Instead it just goes to voicemail.
Can someone please help?

Receiving calls problem......straight to voicemail

Whenever I'm using my phone and I get another incoming call it goes straight to voicemail. There is no sound notifying me of an incoming call nor is there any record of it in the call log. Is this happening to anyone else? It's happened several times so something is clearly wrong. What's going on here? Any advice?
I think this is dependent on the network provider rather than your phone.

Number of rings before phone stop ringing ?

Hello,
i'd like to know if it's possible to set up (and how?) the number of rings (or vibration..) when income calling, before the phone stops ringing! ?
Thx
its a network setting resident in the call divert settings
phone-options-services-call forwarding-get settings-under 'forward ph calls only if no answer-time'
you can set the time(no. of secs) to ring b4 the call is cut/transferred.
you can increase the time that the phone rings, before the call is diverted to answerphone or whatever you may have set up, i think if you go to Phone, and its in the settings for Phone somewhere. I think the maximum is 30 seconds. Works for me on orange dunno about any other networks

Click to collapse
Yes thx, i found this option. i try it, and will see.
Thx a lot
Doesn't work for me on Orange. It fails to update the network and keeps asking me to retry. I think it's a PAYG thing. Do I have the strength to call their gormless customer services though...
Edit: I tried calling them and their system kept cutting me off before I could talk to anyone. Useless. Does anyone know the number I can dial to update the network that way please? Thought you could send a code or something.

[Q] How do I disable the "Emergency Calls Only" beep beep and notifcation?

How do I disable the "Emergency Calls Only" beep beep and notifcation? It's very annoying. Whenever I'm in a place that has no T-Mobile service, the phone emits a very loud BEEP BEEP, and there's a pop-up message on the screen that says something to the effect of no cell service.
I can't find an option to disable this behavior. It's very annoying! I really don't care if I can't make or a send a call.
Turn off event notifications inside of call settings.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
I can't find it. I'm running stock 4.1.2 Bell. I go to Phone, then menu, Call Settings, I have Ringtone, Phone Ringtone, Vibrate when ringing, Other Call Settings, Voicemail, Dial pad touch tones, quick responses, fixed dialing numbers, caller ID readout, tty mode, hearing aids, auto answer on handset, show dialpad, call forwarding, Additional settings. Under Additional settings all I have is Caller ID, Call waiting.
I tried going into the main Settings app, couldn't find anything there. I checked Apps since a lot of the time individual Apps will have a notification check box, but I can't find Phone or Call.

[Q] Cannot receive incoming calls

Hi all,
I am having issue with my Xperia Z that I randomly cannot receive any calls or txts, however I still can make calls and sms. Have called my service provider (Vaya reseller of Optus in AU) and they suggest turning Free Missed Calls service off (159) but problem seems persistent.
Turn my phone off and back on or hard-restart my phone works a while then goes wrong again.
I'm on 4.3 10.4.B.0.569
Thanks!!

Signal drop upon placing call - XT1095 on H2O

I recently changed to H2O, which is an AT&T reseller for those who are unfamiliar, and I'm having a very peculiar problem.
When I go to make a call, as soon as I tap the green button to make the call, sometimes my signal drops to 0 bars and I can't make the call. Sometimes this happens repeatedly and it's impossible to call anyone. But sometimes the call will go through after the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th try. However, sometimes it drops to emergency calls only after the call fails, or sometimes it drops to no service.
Additionally, when I go to change the conditional call forwarding under dialer - settings - calls - call forwarding, as soon as I tap call forwarding, the signal bars vanish and I get a call settings error. This happens almost all of the time. And again, sometimes it will drop to emergency calls only, or a several times I've had it drop to no service.
When I give up trying to make a call or change call forwarding settings, the signal strength will return after a minute or so, which is currently fluxuating around -112 dBm 28 asu, -116 dBm 24 asu, 110 dBm 30 asu. Not sure what any of that means though.
Frequently, incoming calls do not reach my phone. Often I'll get a text message asking me why I'm not answering my phone, but it never rang. There's no indication that my phone was out of service as there is always at least one bar.
I can send text messages with no problem at all. My data also works just fine. In fact, one of my friends gave up calling my phone number and instead calls me on WhatsApp because that's the only way he can get a hold of me. He would call my number, have it fail, and then immediately call me on WhatsApp and that goes through because my data doesn't usually have any issues.
I've tried changing APN settings according to different information I got from H2O. I've tried changing the preferred network type to 3G and 2G. Changing to 2G seems to help my ability to make calls, or maybe it just seemed that way. I've contacted H2O numerous times about it. They opened multiple tickets on it and finally said that there's no problem on their end getting service on that sim card. I sorta verified this because the sim card doesn't display this problem in my 1st gen Moto X, an XT1053.
Two other people in my house are on the AT&T network, one on Cricket with a Galaxy S6 (G920AZ), and one on H2O with a Galaxy S3 (T999) and they never have any issues here at home or elsewhere.
My phone is an XT1095 pure edition. I run stock 6.0, 24.11.18.victara_tmo.tmo.en.US, kernel 3.4.42-g389e46b, rooted, TWRP, with no apps that modify call behavior except Google Voice which is set to never use GV to make calls. This phone worked flawlessly on several different T-Mobile resellers. I'm about to switch back to another T-Mobile reseller but I thought I'd post here about this strange issue first because I don't want to always be limited to the T-Mobile network.
Any advice or input is greatly appreciated.
