Hello,
devices : Galaxy S 1 I9000
Kernel : tried Semaphore_JB_2.9.18 and mkay JB 4.2
ROM : BAKED Blackbean 8
I did flash kernel, wipe and tried to install from SD and I get the error: Error in /sdcard/<enter roms file here>
I get that error with different ROMS now (also tried hellybean 4.4.2 for I9000)
I redownloaded all roms several times
Its been a time since I flashed my rom (last one was DarkyROM v11.0 Black Edition) and I tried to prep myself with reading and getting up to date the past days but I am stuck.
I would really appreciate any input here
regards

Hi All,
My galaxy note is stuck on the Samsung logo and just hangs there.
some info on what I did.
My phone has been rooted (this has been done a while now still on stock rom)
I put phone back to factory settings (as wanted to start fresh) all was fine still rooted
I got a pop-up message about a update so I installed the update phone rebooted
Then I got another message about a update think it was kernel file update
phone rebooted
Then I got another message about android 4 so installed this phone rebooted and now it just hangs when it gets to the Samsung logo.
I can get into recovery mode.
Any ideas what I should do?
I have done lots of searches but did not want to make things worse (if possible)
Should I try and flash ICS using Odin3 v1.85?
Or should I just send phone back to Samsung?
Flash a stock Gingerbread Rom using PC Odin. Then,if you want you can update to official ICS without rooting or root GB and flash custom ROMS.
Dont wipe anything from the default kernel CWM, see if your storage can connect to PC, if yes then copy CF kernel 5.6 lq3 and Abyss kernel 4.2 and flash Abyss kernel first and go to advance reboot recovery, then do full wipe, then flash CF kernel 5.6 lq3
Hi Thanks for the replies
I checked and I can go into recovery and access the sd card
I could not find the kernels you mentioned do you have a link to them
also when I have flashed both kernels will I then have to flash a rom?
maybe the ginger bread one like NoRmAlY_CrAzY said
I found this one that am downloading
N7000XXKKA ------ 2.3.6 2011 November------- N7000CPWKK3 -----------United Kingdom (Carphone Warehouse)
Should I flash that?

ok I flashed the ginger bread rom using rom Odin and its working i'll have to root again now i'll have to go read some threads about updating to ICS
Thanks Angie
When flashing the latest Wizzed Bean CN4 I recieve a status 4 zip file error. How do i fix this or flash the rom?
Anyone still have the original CN4 file that can post somewhere?
What I've found I online hosted gives install errors (I've downloaded it 4 times, same result ... no other issues downloading ROMs for other packages).
hi everyone,
i used to have cyanogen mod 10 (4.2.1)
then i decided i want to get back to the stock rom 2.3.6 , so i tried to install a stock ROM GB for I9000 that i found somewhere online via Odin
the problem is that the device is now in boot loop.
my question is what should i DO?! to get it out from it
P.S
i found that there R many stock roms in the same versions to the same device but the difference between them is the name of the file, like:
I9000XWJVH
I9000JIJVG
I9000XFJVA
What is the difference ?!?!?
Thankyou...

flash that in odin, then http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1570488 flash that and you'll be on stock 2.3.6
when flashing the first one, make sure to check the 'bootloader update' checkbox in odin.
the problem you're having is that ics/jb, gingerbread, froyo etc have different bootloaders, which use different partition layouts, so when you tried to go back to stock, you still had the ics/jb bootloader, which couldn't find the partitions to mount them, hence the bootloop.
Thanks man
