Hey can someone help me with this? My nexus is rooted and on stock 2.3.6. I tried downloading the cm7 r2 hboot for the runnymede sense rom but for some reason in recovery it will not flash that hboot. Im using clockworkmod recovery. What step am i missing to flash this hboot file so i can flash this rom? I downloaded the hboot file off of alpharev site. I even renamed the file PB99IMG.zip and also update.zip and both did not work in hboot mode and recovery. Any help would be great.

How do I flash black rose? I'm actually new to the nexus one. I've had a few android phones but not this one. I actually got the sense rom to flash but it got stuck on the X screen with the unlock icon and it won't go past it? Is that because I don't have black rose? I believe I have the stock hboot.
are you trying this runny rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580873
if so, then you dont need blackrose. stock hboot is fine. but ext partition of 1GB is compulsory. before flashing the rom, did you flash alignment_cool provided in the first post ? better use 4ext recovery

I did flash the alignment cool zip file first and then the rom. I used amon ra recovery and clockwork mod. Both left me stuck. When I flashed the rom it took me to aroma installer and I tried stock hboot and used the regular method and custom method and neither worked. What am doing wrong? And about how long should I be stuck at the boot
Screen before it loads into the sense rom?
But did you partition to one GB or more? If I remember correctly alignment_cool is to change the partition from ext3 to ext4 (required). Sense ROMs take up a lot of room. The partition is for system and everything else (apps 'n stuff).
Or you could use EXT4 Recovery Touch, save yourself some trouble, partition your SD card to ext4 via the tools (highly recommended) and flash your ROM there.

can you access recovery??
Try restoring ya phone via. PC Companion. There's a thread in XDA..
If you can access CWM, just flash another ROM.
cwm can be accessed even if system is formatted... enter cwm.. if you dont have a rom in sd card then mount usb storage then copy a rom in sdcard. and then install the rom

If you read his post, you will know that he's on stock kernel. Recoveries for stock kernel are stored in /system. He wiped it => he doesn't have recovery.

Even with stock kernel? Because if I'm not mistaken on stock kernel the recovery comes with ROM while in custom kernel the recovery comes from the kernel itself.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

No if his phone has locked BL. The best way is to flash the phone with PCC or to flash 2.1 firmware with flashtool.
Hi
I just tried flashing ARHD 20.2 coming from rooted stock 4.1.2 via CWM touch. The rom won't install, halfway through the phone just re-starts. Also whenever I try a factory wipe or data re-format from cwm my phone re-starts immediately. So I have recovery but I can't flash a new ROM.
Have I corrupted my data partition somehow? Is there a way around this? Maybe via a new recovery or kernel? My searches on xda haven't come up with much. Any ideas? Thanks.

HI, thanks for the advice although I don't understand what you want me to do. I guessed you might have meant try going back to stock which I just tried but that didn't work. I do not seem to be able to flash any ROM.
I can enter in and out of CWM recovery but that is it. My phone is formatted and wiped (excepting my suspect data partition???). So I am doing all flashing etc by adb and fastboot.
I tried a TRWP flash over the top of CWM but it only briefly flashes the twrp logo and then restarts the phone, so I have gone back to CWM which at least works.
In my CWM log I see this
I: Can't partition non-vfat: datamedia
I: Can't format unknown volume: /emmc
Any attempt to format data still just restarts the phone.

to add more info to my situation: if I choose the wipe data option in the install of ARHD 20.2 the phone immediately restarts on the commencement of the installation.
If I don't choose the wipe data option the installation seems to fail when it has finished unpacking.

hello there,
so earlier i was trying to flash my htc one m7 with android 62.0 but it seems it wasn't a success because now my phone is just stuck in a boot loop and i cant get into recovery mode anymore. Now its been awhile since i flashed a rom, i had android hd 31.0 before that so i thought id update it but its seems its gonna be a bit harder that that. my phone is showing s-on with hboot 1.55 and i used clockwork to flash the rom. now could i get some advice as to how i could get this android hd 62.0 to work on my htc? or should i just try to revert to what i used to but the problem is the old rom isn't on my phone anymore and i was never able to find the stock rom for my phone (rogers canada m7). any advice here ?
If you have an old CWM, try upgrading it first. With newer OSs, something in the Android install procedure has changed. You need a recovery that's at least as new as TWRP 2.6.3.3. To get back to recovery, try using the power+volume down button to get to fastboot mode, and use the computer for "fastboot erase recovery" and "fastboot erase cache". Then boot to recovery.

Do you need to wipe data? Did you wipe data within the ARHD installer? (For me, it doesn't ever work unless I do this. You can make a nandroid backup before if you want.)

Yes, do it from the bootloader (after re-locking it). You'll have to find the instructions somewhere...

Never relock your bootloader if your using a custom rom or recovery, so first of all, get it unlocked again.
which kernel did you flash ?
bulletproof kernel.. is there a guide to do that or can i follow the following one:

I believe bullet proof is a sense only kernel, CM is an asop rom not a sense rom.
Just unlock your bootloader at HTC Dev,
Once its unlocked, you might get lucky and just be able to flash a correct kernel to get booting again, failing that you'll either have to flash a new rom or restore your backup.
Sorry that took long it now says unlocked. How do i go about install cyanogenmod again or do i have to install a stock?

Try flashing an AOSP kernel now, something like this one, hopefully after that your phone will boot back to CM.

yes the rom will still be there if it was only a factory reset, if you did an advanced wipe inside something like TWRP then it wont.
Factory reset just restores whatever rom is on your phone to the state it was at when you first installed it, ie you will just have to set it back up again with email addresses and passwords, carrier and country etc after it boots.
