Hi
i wanna know what is the difference between developer version of HTC one and Normal version of it... any specification changed btw them?
They are indetical as far as specs and antennas. Only thing different is unlocked boot loader and unlocked phone. Also I think the back is see through.

Back isn't see through. It's 64gb as well I believe. Great for the price if you can get your hands on one.

How much for Dev edition?
$649
You're gonna find a lot more info from using the search button and Google than I'm gonna be able to tell you.

I would search for this, but honestly, seems like 100,000 queries would come up as the keywords are quite common. You have any info on that extra LTE band?

I have looked at both and I don't see extra LTE band. At least not in what is offered in US.

Sorry I though you all know that information...
HTC One 32 GB hast next LTE bands:
4G/LTE:
- 800/1800/2600 MHz - 4G LTE is subject to network availability
HTC One 64 Developers Edition has next:
LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US)

WHy I am so pist. Wish it had 1700mhz or TMobile 4g grrrrrrrr I may just end up getting an S4 before of the lack of 1700 >;(
Related
I have been debating whether to go for the S4 or the One. Quite honestly I am leaning towards the ONE. I love the oNE design. I can live without removable SD card so long as I can have 64gb of storage but I am reading that TMOBILE will NOT carry the 64gb version of the ONE.
Now I could buy the HTC ONE from ATnT and unlock it but it lacks tmobile 4g (1700mhz) feature which only leaves me with LTE which isn't widely available here in San Diego yet. So I will be stuck with EDGE.
So I thought maybe I go with a ONE Developers Editions, which does have 64gb of storage but I read that it lacks proper TMOBILE 4g support (1700mhz) like the ATnT version.
So my only other option here is to get a S4 which does give me full features with TMOBILE? I feel cheated. ;/
Can someone correct me if I am wrong on what I stated above...
You would be better directing your anger at T-mobile, as it will be them who choose what models they stock and what frequency they use for their base stations. It does seem crazy that the US has so many different frequencies for 4G/LTE. Why can't they use the same as as the EU and Asia? 3 models of the One for the US is absurd.
Don't quote me on this, be I am pretty sure the "tmobile" radios will be able to be flashed to the dev version thus opening the 1700 hsdpa band.
I am inclined to think the all the one "models" have the same hardware. The qualcomm chip in this phone supports 30+ bands

Its possible but that would require s-off
They can disable the radios in the hardware aswell so that's a possibility

No I am not glad. Not being able to get the version I want is like not having the device on my carrier at ALL! 32gb? That just stupid. I have a 32gb SD on my Amaze and the thing is almost full. I am not about to pay full price for a device that I know I will run out of space. I really am genuinely pist off about this.
As far as flashing the correct radio for the Dev Edition, that is a HUGE maybe. It has yet to be confirmed. And I will be at the mercy of the Dev, meaning it could take time before a flash is available. I won't have 4g for some time. So spend 650$ and maybe i will have the ability to flash radio or just simply get the S4.
Just seems dumb guys. ;/
How much intern memory the S4 will offer in your country? Here in Germany we got only 16 GB at the beginning, that's just useless, of you got many games and apps.

I just came here as an Incredible 2 user to clarify stuff.
The Inc S is the european version of the Inc 2.
Inc S is gsm only with 3g bands for most carriers.
The Inc 2 is the US version of the Inc S.
Inc 2 is a cdma AND a gsm phone with 3G gsm bands for everywhere else but the US. It also has wireless charging.
The 3g WILL work with the JB roms for the Inc 2 just like the IncS.
Its that we got out ics kernel sources late that our development has been slow but we got it so any of you nice folk wanna stop by and develop Please do :laugh::laugh::laugh:
Hope that clarified

Depends on which carrier you are using
If you're on the same carrier for both, assuming the frequencies the phone uses match the carrier they will be the same speed

Spark is just a fancy name for the triband network(1900,800,2500). Its the second phase of network vision. The One only supports 1900. Sprint is movin g in a great direction with this. Using 3 bands in tandem will give crazy speeds.

exactly...this is all part of network vision....they just added a name to it....with all the growing pains they're going through right now, it will be awesome once they're done.
I read somewhere that there MAY be a firmware update to enable this for us....is that true? I assumed that if the One Maxx is running the same hardware then the radios should be the same too
Not true. Our phone doesn't support Lte on 800 or 2600 so no spark on this phone.

I love new technology & spark looks pretty cool, but all I see them talk about is data.....what about voice? Will the tri-band phones improve w/ voice usage? I don't use voice all that much, but when I do it usually sux @ss.
Hello. I have just bought a One with Sprint, I tried several Roms and never I Reached 4G in Spain. When I selected LTE or CDMA no data , If I put it in automatic I have 3G or H but never 4g.
Same issue. I know I can get 4G beause when I drive around, my phone has said 4G on it. With that being said, I only get 4G about .00001% of the time im using the network so it goes to 4G when i dont need it. i doubt its my phone its Sprints towers but that really sucks cuz 3G is sooooooo slow for me.
It's probably because your Spanish carrier does not use CDMA or Sprints LTE bands

In Spain for the moment is 1800 and 2600. End of this year also 800 but not yet.

That talks about simultaneous voice/data. And yes, that's a HUGE drawback. I have a VZW phone for work and I use that all the time.
