aOS for Galaxy Pop Plus
This is based on WhiteXP's CM7 and all credit goes to him for base ROM.
So, you have wanted to use iOS but with Android's openness? Well, look no further, because aOS does just that! You have iOS' unique and pretty UI while not compromising on Android's customizations!

Porting JoyOS is a no-brainer, but resizing it, making it work and making it stable is! I humbly request the users here to post all the bugs that they encounter in this ROM. If you find a Chinese character or symbol anywhere, take some time off to post it here so that it may benefit other users too. And if any of you know Mandarin, they can pitch in with the translations since I know very little to no Mandarin.

Note: If you have followed the instructions in this thread carefully, you will have no chances of bricking your device at all!
Readying your device:
Create backups of your messages and your apps
Grab a cup of coffee before you venture any further
Keep your iPhone in hand so that you can jeer at it when you boot up your Galaxy Y with aOS
Download ODIN and necessary files
Call up your iOS crazy friend and invite him over for scones
Keep a cool and steady head
Grab all the necessary files here:
Get Cyanus Kernel here!
Get ODIN from here
Installing aOS:
Flash the provided kernel via ODIN
Remove the battery and put it back.
Download aOS from the downloads section
Boot into recovery
Head into Mounts and Storage and format /system, /data and /cache
Then mount /system, /data, /cache
Go back to the main menu and choose "Install ZIP from SDCard".
Select "aOS for Pop Plus_Mini.zip".
Wait for it to install.
When it says, "Installation complete", click on wipe data/ factory reset.
Reboot your phone.
First boot may take some time as it needs to rebuild the cache partition. Do not fret if you get stuck somewhere, I'm here to help you out.

edit: i installed it to my device. its succesfully booted. no fcs on any app. wifi working with drivers. no screen glitches with egl drivers. i loved its look. its fast and no lags. only problem is music and gallery dont show media. but in screenshots they shows media. why?

WhiteXP's build has problem with media scanning. It works on PhyscoGame's build on the Young forums. The screenshot's folder show because you took the screenshots. Try Meridian Player for media scanning. Reported to work on White's build. :good:

It's not my kernel, but by PhyscoGame. Kernel has been updated to 2.6.35.14. RFS and FSR partitions are removed (IMEI data still intact) and the whole system has been formatted to ext4. The end result is that we get a very smooth kernel to run CM7/9 on. But it won't work with all the ROMs because of the RFS and FSR. The kernel can be found here.

Hello there! I am currently working on fixing everything in the base CM7 ROM for my device. The Dec is working on it, and I am helping him where I can.
I won't be updating aOS until it is at least a semi-stable release.
Already, the low headset bug has been fixed and we are working on the camera with proper preview screens. I will update it soon.

Yes, it has lots, and I doubt he is going to work on it anymore. PsychoGame is our only hope. I heard that kissingmylove is porting Psycho's kernel to the Pop Plus.

As maclaw left the forums, and I found that I can make his ROM to work with Galaxy Mini, I decided to port it. So...

You have to decompile framework.

Hyperion ROM package
-obviously, please get it on 1st post
Prepare for flashing:
Backup all your contents, contacts, messages, notes, recording, porns, etc
Drink a glass of water and no matter what happen, never ever ever freak out
Flash Hyperion
Boot to Android System Recovery mode by pressing volume up key + home button + power key for 3 seconds or until you see the Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S5360 screen
After that, immediately release the keys and press it again until the recovery shows up.
In recovery, select install zip from sd card.
After that, select TempCWM.zip from the list.
After that, you will then see ClockWorkMod Recovery with texts in yellow color.
In ClockWorkMod Recovery, select mounts and storage.
Mount /system, /data, cache.
Go back by pressing the power button or the back key.
Select advanced and debugging.
Select wipe dalvik cache and wipe batterystats.bin (optional).
Go back by pressing the power button or the back key.
Select wipe data/factory reset.
Select wipe cache.
Select install zip from sd card.
Select choose zip from sd card.
Select Hyperion zip package (HYPERION-08.GM-FINAL.zip).
Go back by pressing the power button or the back key.
After that, reboot your phone.

it hasnt any kernel included. u can use any kernel. its better to install cyanus after installing the rom. n if u r coming from cm7 or cm7 based roms u have to flash stock rom first.

today my uncle left me this phone (he doesn't like TouchWiz bugs) so i can start real developing on it
Expect something big coming for the end of the year (or more)
As you can see on my signature, i'm a kernel developer and i will try to get an optimized and full working kernel for this phone. Also i will release (maybe) some CyanogenMod ROMs (optimized, light and fast)
Just wait guys and don't ask me for any ETAs since i'm really busy with school and i work also on Galaxy S 1 Variants so i can't spend all my time on this phone.
I will work slowly but (i hope) with nice results.
If anyone (serious users, with high/real developer skills) wants to help me, just let me know via PM.
Useless PMs will be reported.

I ported Lewa OS from SGM S5570, but it does not run. But it works for Samsung Galaxy Young, I think it's because of the kernel..
MIUI OS, Joy OS, AOSP and the like we have..
Bluetooth fixed on CM7. Test Build coming maybe this evening. (just a basic kernel with CWM and all hardware features working)

I will release a preview kernel since i haven't modded so many things on it and optimizations are missing. Just a basic preview kernel.
Bug was causing modules to not load (proprietary ones -_-), so partitions were unable to mount.

Now seems a ramdisk bug, fixing it right now. I also updated kernel to 2.6.35.14 (still showed 2.6.35.7 since modules needs this version), new frequencies added in cpu settings and other little things. Maybe i will release an RC Version.

UPDATE: All works correctly now except wifi :/ Module fails to load, trying to fix it right now. Hopefully seems that this bug isn't caused by Samsung

When you plug the phone into the PC via USB and the phone loses the SD card and the PC detects it like a pendrive.

Report: HALO works just fine, it's just disabled by default. There is no UMS, only MTP. Camera works fine, otherwise like normal CM10.2.
UMS is not broken, it's just not the default any longer. I've fixed up MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) support and set it as the default for all Samsung armv6 builds. You can use MTP to transfer files between the phone and PC without having to unmount the SD card in Android. It should work on both Linux and Windows (if the proper drivers are installed).
If you don't like MTP, you can switch the default mode to PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol, like a camera) or the original UMS in Settings -> Storage -> (Menu key) -> USB computer connection.

There are psyke83 drivers and not erikcas. Erikcas has only posted on gerrit the changes maded by psyke.
This rom is a pure cm10.2 builded from my sources for halo but they are the same of androidarmv6 team.

Bugs are of cm10.2 sources for armv6 devices and not for age of your device. Only problem of age is battery life.

Story:
As most of you all might know.
In the last month Broadcom was very kind to us and released the HW drivers for our devices ( BCM21553 )
These sources where based upon android 4.0.1 and thus not working on 4.0.4.
We as Team BroadcomCM (SpaceCaker and Bieltv.3) have been working from the release date till now to make these compatible with 4.0.4 ICS and tested these to make sure all edits where right.
During this we worked almost 24/7 to get it proper.
As first result we had it working on AOSP ICS 4.0.4 ( SpaceCaker Build ) But sadly on this we didn't had touchscreen working and Colors not proper.
Later we build on CM9 (Bieltv.3 build) and found out that colors as in previous build weren't proper.
After tons of work and such we found out that our problem was laying in something very simple, something we overlooked during the editing process. After Biel tried the fix it suddenly worked like it should and from then with our latest Team edits we managed to get the HW drivers ported the proper way.
Thanks to our amazing team we have got HW to work proper now.
Also A lot of thanks to Broadcom for releasing the initial drivers.

How to logcat:
Make sure you have ADB installed
Open CMD (Windows) or terminal (Linux) http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html & http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html
Type:

Then type:

adb logcat -v long > tassvelogcat.txt
Then the file logcat.txt will be saved on the directory you're doing the commands

thanks sir. was waiting for it. also 3g+data working on percy's cm9 for sgy if im not wrong. btw im on ur latest cm7 n kernel now. do i need to format to ext4 again? n last question: do u think u can fix cam+audio? if u fix them then i can use it daily.

Thanks mate. Remember our device wasnt created to run android 4.X. We can not compalin of ram usage atm

we have no idea
we are working on it ofcourse amd try to fix a ton of bugs
so it mostly takes time to achieve and we neve know if we will succed

i've tested it and it is simply amazing
it is too smooth for this phone
so these are the bugs that i found
something like pin keypad,status bar,lockscreen need to be resized
-easter egg lags a bit
-videos work but colors are swapped
-i've installed gapps for ics but play store doesn't download anything
-rotation is a bit buggy
if i put the phone in the normal position screen rotate to landscape
but if i rotate the phone to right screen comes to portrait
-bluetooth turn on fast but when i turn it off android.phone.com crashes
btw good work
i hope that you will fix remaining bugs

@OP, you might also want to include a file browser. I can't install apps now...
EDIT : Also, the terminal emulator receives a Segmentation Fault whenever it requests su permissions. Happens even after updating su binary.
Also, about the accelerometer, flashing the accelerometer fix for other AOSP/CM7 ROMs bricks the phone. The only remedy is to disable auto-rotation...
But it is a great ROM. Waiting for nightly XD (if possible lol)

What kernel? GearKernel? - not stable and consumes a lot of battery.
CM Specific Basic Kernel - stock frequencies and governor.
I doubt CM9 will work on GearKernel in the first place as it has been specially developed for CM7.2. Maybe only GearKernel v0.1.
Also, its inability to restore backups is a headache.
