Galaxy ace i5830 external memory

Hey guys, one of my friends have this samsung phone, so we can't find solution of the problem with the sd card. The phone only scanning and scanning and the card doesn't work properly. We tried with other cards but with no success, its with 2.3.6 stock ROM for Bulgaria can you give me some advice what to do because there is no any support from the service.

try a factory reset

You tried formatting the sd card with clockworkmod?

Hi, the exact model is 5830i, so I have to reinstall with older version of the ROM or something else?

As has already suggested sax0406 try to do the hard reset (factory reset).

[Q] Phone does not detect any simcard

Hi guys
Thanks for spend some of your time triying to help me
Yesterday I trade my Asus TF101 for a Samsung Galaxy note, I check the phone service before trade it and it works, but not with my sim card, only works with the other guy sim card, (same carrier service off corse). So I start looking at internet for anwers to my problem, but every similar thread talks about loosing the imei, I check my imei and it was the same imei from the battery, I got ICS rooted and I flash XXLR1 radio/modem and nothing, still not detect the sim card, obviously the sim card is in the right position checked twice.
I hope someone got a similiar problem and can give me some help with this
Bye guys and please please help me.
PS Already check every other thread of the forum that involve simcard issuies, try almost everything.

The error i got was that i was prompted to insert sim card. It might be a strange network lock or your sim card has been de-magnetized. Try your sim card on another phone.

check my thread, see my profile, then topics then lpy bug.
If by changing pin it works you migjt need to get root and try the workaround I linked to in that thread with a terminal. Basically it reinstates the pin login screen.
Might be the same isue

[Q] using 64gb SD card

hello everyone,
I think I saw someone (forgot who) who is using a 64GB micro SD card for his SGS - however, when I tried one, I cannot seem to make it work (getting an error in the notification bar) even if I tried formatting the card.
Does anyone know how I can make a 64 GB micro SD work for my SGS? Or is it even possible to make it work? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

as far as i know you can use an sd card up to 32 GB with sgs

How do you make it work? As far I know, 64 are XC, but I don't know if they are backware compatible with HC (Up tp 32 Gb)

I have a strange problem with my I8190N, when i flash any rom apart from stock one, after the flash my phone says: Sim card locked emergency calls only. I dont know what should i do., thanks in advance.

maybe the probelm with your baseband ?

I dont think so. When i tried other basebands the sim was not working too.

what does "sim not working" mean? no contacts, no possibility to make a call, ...?
i had the problem with contacts with custom ROMs, so i decided to sync my contacts with my google account.
Since then no problems

Problem with simcard means that i cant make calls and the phone says: Sim card blocked, emergency calls only

Looks like no one knows my Phone is special again..:banghead:
