[Q] Device hangs on Django Manouche install - LG Optimus 2x

Hi,
My P990 hangs in Django Manouche Install Scyrpt: It starts installing files and then hangs after 1min always on the same file !
Im trying to flash over twrp 2.4... It does the same thing on Fuzion-rom !?!
When flashing Miuiv4 or latest Cyanogenmod theres no Problem at all.
I tried to install Django Manouche X 1.6.1 several times with different Kernels and fullwipe etc ... whats wrong... any ideas ?

Was happening to me as well. This solution works.
Now a question. If I want to flash another rom I need to change bootloader again?
Thanks.

What ROM do you use ?
If you use ICS, it may go bootloop
If you use JB, it may doesn't boot (stuck at boot splash)
If you use GB, it may boot, with 50% chance...
what driver

Use an older version of chainfire to install driver, then update installer.
If after reboot chainfire is missing, reinstall it again....
it should work this way...
worked for me.:highfive:

[Q] Custom kernel

My friend have the p970, and he talk me to install a custom rom for he, but any rom need custom kernel. In my xperia x8, to install a custom kernel, need a uncloked bootloader and a flash process in pc. But i see a video showing a instalation of cm10 on p970, without flashing a new kernel with other program, but the kernel change just with a zip instalation.
How can i install cm10 for p970 without unklocking bootloader? Im cofused.
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
Installing a rom on P970 its a pretty simple.
You just need root and recovery... to install a rom just do a full wipe and then install the .zip, search on general section about how to make root.
Just this? Isnt necessary to unclock bootloader to flash cm10 and flash a kernel with a program?
Sorry for noob question and bad english

Nope, because our bootloader is unlocked. Kernel comes with the flashable .zip file, so no need for additionally flashing anything after

[Q] Couple of boot loader unlocking doubts...

Helloo Everybody..
I will be really grateful if someone found a solution to my problem...
I know that this is not a support site, but a developers world, but after searching and googling, i couldnt help my self.
Mods can close and delete this thread if they want.
My question is that if I flash a Gingerbread kernel(nAa or Alfs) on ECLAIR 2.1...wont it create problems..such as force closing or rebooting sort of problems??
Secondly I read SpydeX thread of unlocking bootloader..i got all the tools ready, but the thread doesnt mentions anything about entering into recovery via kernel on ECLAIR 2.1... the guide just tells that after flashing entr into recovery and flash the rom.
I tried this trick on my friends X8, but no success..
Thanxx in advance
If you flash a custom kernel at the eclair while you have locked bootloader, you will have bootloop(it wont boot, but you can easily fix it),if you have unlocked your bootloader it will be fine
As for your second question, you unlock your bootloader, you flash the kernel(which contain cwm),you enter recovery(cwm),and you flash the rom.

No he's got it wrong.
1. You can't flash custom kernels on a locked rom flashtool won't allow it.
2. Flashing a custom kernel on stock 2.1 will cause it to bootloop, what you'd normally do is enter recovery and flash a rom that works with the kernel.

No,users have reported that custom kernels work with stock rom(I remember very clear a user who used naa kernel with stock rom)
Maybe older versions...
If I'm wrong then I apologize

Recovery

Hello cpmmunity,
Im new in xperia x8 forum bit i know i little bit about flashing because i was in o3d forum. Now i want to flash rom for my sis.
Yesterday i want to install cwm for xperia because i want zo fladh jellyblur, i put the cwm.tar in system/bin and give their rights, but i still cant boot in cwm why?
And must i flash cwm or can i use xrecovery?

Hi,
And why is it fun?
Just root> unlock bootloader> flashthe kernel kernel (nAa/Oxydo-JB) if you want to Jelly Blur (CM10) rom what it takes to unlock the kernel
In this way, what you gave it a quick and convenient, and look closely and you can unlock the bootloader here on the forum you will find step-by-step instructions
Also good luck and best regards
Use x8toolbox

I dont understand it right. Iam now back on stock because i bricked the phone.
What i did is root stock, after that i unlocked bootloader, then i installed cwm and then i want to install kernel for jellyblur but everytime i do that my phone bricks. How exactly i have to flash the kernel? After flashing kernel i format system and data like in instruction. I rebooted then phone without flashing jellyblur i think this is the problem. I have to fladh kernel then go in cwm formatting system and data and without exiting flashing jellyblur is this right?

[Q] Soft bricked X8

Hi guys. Today I tried upgrading GingerDX from v030 to v031b but I mistakenly downloaded (and flashed) Alfs/nAa instead of Stock kernel.
Now the phone screen won't pass the Sony Ericsson boot scree... I can't find the key combinations to enter into CWM recovery menu. Is there any other way I can flash the proper ROM using Flashtool? I found this guide but I don't want to go back to the stock kernel (if possible).
Thank you!
You mean to. Say stock rom??
You are already on stock kernel...
& no other option you must follow that guide if you can't unlock bootloader!
see boot animation without rebooting

Right, I already have the stock kernel, but I flashed Alfs/nAa ROM instead of the Stock one (from the download options) and now the phone won't pass the bootloader... Will try that guide since I can't enter CWM recovery using the key combinations I found

I re-installed 2.1 e15a stock kernel, then xRecovery and tried with 31b and 30 to no avail (SE -> GingerDX logo loop).

It I'll be great if everything comes from one place instead of having to root using guide A, install CWM from guide B to end up using XDA's guide to install GDX. Just un idea, specially for noobs

Well, when I softbricked my X8, I never used my PC to unbrick it. I will just go into the recovery and flash a working rom. Problem solved..
But I can't figure out why he is sayig he can't go into the recovery. The button patterns remains the same no matter what rom you are on or what kernel you use. But I can be wrong.
Anyway did you do all these steps:
# Wipe Full System
# Wipe Cache, Dalvik-Cache
These steps are very important. But we often forget them.
Dude.....
Sometimes can't get into recovery while on stock kernel
Happened 3 times to me

We dont see the sony ericsson logo on custom kernels..
it is seen only on stock kernel.
so there is a high possibility that op downloaded the wrong rom..

if you use rom for stock kernel you can see the GDX logo...that is part of boot animation. alfs shows WLAN version not GDX. the Sony Ericsson logo is of stock kernel. so if you flash a rom for custom kernel you will still see that logo
it is possible (as dagger said) that OP downloaded rom for custom kernel.
